The restaurant inside and out is very attractive and comfortable. The food was a solid mediocre. Do not expect to be impressed. Typical very commercial Tex/Mex type of dishes here. Extra large portions with overall flavors being just meh. We got unlucky and had a waitress who definitely did not want to be there tonight. Very non caring. Basically just stood at her station not doing anything. But we could tell that the other servers were doing a great job. Would I be back? Absolutely not. My major disappointment came with the check. My husband got a 22 oz Dos XX and was charged $10.50. I got a house margarita 22 ounce and was charged $16.99. That is ridiculous! These were basic drinks! I wasn't sure if the drinks were that expensive or if we were being overcharged. The drinks were good, but not that good. I don't know if I'll go back. Got the chicken flautas, my husband got the carne asada tacos. My plate was presented well, unfortunately the flautas were soggy from sitting in a bath of salsa and other sauce, so they lost their crunch completely but the chicken had nice flavor and was temp hot which was nice. The rice was decent and the beans were good. My husbands tacos were absolutely gross. The steak tasted more like gas or lighter fluid and he couldn't get through the first taco. The tortilla wasn't great and was soggy pretty quick, he didn't like his rice with cheese. The salsa they serve when we first sat down lacked flavor. We have come to Hacienda Bar and Grill and have always enjoyed. But yesterday we tried the burrito bowl and this is the best bowl I've ever had ! The seasonings were so good the rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken was amazing and the vegetables were so fresh . The portion was huge . Stopped by here with a friend on a Saturday night for dinner and it gets crowded pretty quickly! My friend and I both went with the chicken chimichanga and it was delicious! There was a good amount of chicken and the rice was also cooked to perfection. They also have lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream in a small tortilla shell which I liked since it added a bit of crunch for texture. They also gave us chips and two types of salsa and refilled it as we ate. Overall, this place was quite good and I recommend getting in early or putting in a reservation since it can get busy. A decent spot that's popular in the area Tex-Mex type cuisine though they do serve some more authentic Mexican dishes as well. Most people come here though for drinks and vibes. They even throw the occasion themed fiestas here on certain days even with a dance floor and DJ. The food here is good but service can be hit or miss sometimes depending how busy they are. We always drive past this place and wanted to try it and finally did. We came with our dogs and ate in the patio and our server Francisco was super nice and attentive. He brought out a bowl of water for our dogs when he came out to greet us. We started off with margaritas and wings and they did not disappoint. It was delicious. I attempted to order online and pick up in the restaurant. I paid online and was given a pick up time. My phone number was included in the online order. I arrived to pick up my order and was informed that they didn't offer the dish that I ordered. I ordered from their menu linked to their exact location. I asked for a refund but I was told by a manager that they don't receive the money. He told me to go through the online service I used. The online service listed the restaurant's phone number to resolve issues. I decided to dispute the charge through my bank but I was unsuccessful. So I am out $25. I would recommended for the ambiance and the food. Service was lacking even though the restaurant was empty. Waitress was very social with a specific table and not all her customers. They have a large bar and tons of options for seating, indoor and outdoor. The parking area was easy to navigate and there are plenty of businesses around to take a nice walk before or after dinner. Ordered a jalepenos rellanos and hubby had the elpastor tacos. The jalepenos rellanos were excellent. Hubby said the tacos were good. Service was ok. I asked for half tea, half lemonade. Service was good, both the human and robot server. I ordered the Farmer's Market Enchilada thinking it would be a light meal but the portion is huge. The parts of the meal I ate filled me up quickly. I did not like the sauces that came with it and there was too much of the sour cream. I didn't like the sauces because it lacked flavor. The vegetables inside the enchilada were big. Our table also ordered two margaritas, mango and strawberry, that were too syrupy. We also had their chip and salsa and Baja Fish tacos - both were good. I think I got food poisoning from this place. The Suwanee location is very misleading because they do not offer the champagne tower here. The drinks are very sugary and the food lacked flavor. So for THIS restaurant- here is the review: I did go to this restaurant and it's actually a really good Mexican restaurant. It's located near the fresh market. I sat outside, they do have live music although I didn't listen to it- it was being set up. It's in a shopping center and there's free parking which is amazing. You can also get your nails done and walk around. They have delicious margaritas here and amazing service. I had the enchiladas, the chips with two different types of sauces, a margarita and dessert and I was not disappointed. Overall it's one of my more favorite Mexican places I've been to in the area! A Mexican restaurant with the vast majority of entrees starting at $20, which is already much higher than the average and still considerably higher than equivalent establishments. The food was basic, so it should be priced in the average $10-12 range. Draft beer was over $8. The ambience: standard Mexican restaurant from anywhere in the country. The staff were doing the minimum. When you pay, the waitstaff holds a mobile payment device and requires you to select your tip while they hold it. And the kicker, I got food poisoning. What a shame, a great location but poor overall business model. I'm not asking for a lot just a family of five Mexican night. Is it too much to ask for someone that understands English to take an order. A side of beans and rice 10$ a small scoop of rice and beans seriously. Rave type of lights in my face and employees that look very uninspired, then at the end the computer check in your face while your server stands over you acting like there not staring at which tip button I select, uncomfortable. Idk it's just gotten really hard to not feel taken advantage of these days going to places like this and I don't mind the 42$ fajitas for 2 it's not bad but everything that comes with it was just not enjoyable. read more
