This place is a vibe. The whole ambiance here is on point. My favorite was the rooftop bar. We sipped some drinks up there for a few hours and it was very relaxing. The food and drinks here were delicious. Definitely check out the pork belly tacos.

Friendly & Wonder place to chill on a Saturday night!!! Delicious Birria pizza - the plate is big for 3 adults.

A super satisfying Taco Night with warm and friendly service from Angie. I ordered the fish taco, and it was a winner with the perfectly fried, large piece of fish and crunchy slaw. The flavors in the picanha taco with the chimichurri sauce and pickled red onions were good, but the meat was tough, and I had to deconstruct in order to eat it. There's also a great $10 deal with two tacos (up charge for steak or fish), beans and rice. We enjoyed the spring breeze at dusk while dining on the outside patio surrounded by tropical plants. I'm thankful that Rreal Tacos is now in downtown Duluth!

Truly need this place & the vibe in Gwinnett. This is a very happy place. Busy around 2 pm on a Saturday- ACTUALLY BUSY!! See pics- this says it all. Staff is super friendly, the bar tender explained all cocktails are made with fresh, REAL ingredients like agave. We even got some cute ducks... love that! Food- amazing. Service (except for the women who seated us) - amazing. Drinks - amazing. Ambience - great vibe!!! Costs - pricey!!! If you want to relax, have a good meal & forget about crap for a while, I suggest you try this place out. A big bar, get a drink & appetizer. Or be seated for a meal. Just go & relax- you deserve it!!

I'm so glad I gave this place a second chance! My first experience was a to-go order where I tried the ramen; it was just okay, but I had a feeling the "dine-in" experience might hit differently. I'm definitely glad I went back. The Food * The Nachos: These were easily the star of the show. They were incredibly flavorful and the highlight of the meal. * The Tacos: My friend and I ordered a variety of different tacos to share. Often there's at least one "miss" when you try everything, but not here. every single one was delicious. There wasn't a single taco I disliked! The Vibe- Dining in made a huge difference. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service was solid. If you've only ever done takeout from here, do yourself a favor and grab a table instead. Verdict: Forget the ramen and go straight for the tacos and nachos. I'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

This was almost 2 stars based on service but they redeemed themselves. It was two of us on a Saturday night and they get busy. We were told we could sit at the bar and it's full service. We found a spot but we were there for over 20 mins before a bartender glanced our way and helped us. I guess all the bartenders assumed we had been helped. We ordered the trio appetizer, chicken birria, and birria quesadilla. They came out pretty quickly and the food was absolutely tasty and big portion sizes for the price. The queso was good but it came out room temp and not hot. The salsa was good and the guac was great. One of the best beef birria items I have had. Another ding for them is no horchata the menu says horchata but fine print says select locations and this location was not one of them. It's a good place to go just hopefully you get better service and warm queso.

I'm always down for a night at Rreal tacos. It's always a fun vibe, especially around any holiday! Love the themed decor and drinks. Service is always great. As for the food, I'm also a big fan. I love sharing the taco platter. Literally SO MUCH FOOD. Tacos are stuffed, too, no skimping out on the meat lol. We've also ordered their food online and they've always included all the things - chips, salsa, condiments, etc. Always a good time at Rreal Tacos! I'm glad the opened up a location at downtown Duluth.

I will say, this location was nice compared to the one in Midtown. Service was great. Really easy people to deal with. Jess was great! I got the strawberry margarita and that was good. The guac was sooooo good. However, I got their lychee martini burrito bowl, and I wasn't really happy with how that came out. It was bland. Even when adding the sauces they have on the table, it was still bland. It really needed some salt. The steak in my burrito bowl was burnt and really hard to chew on. I think if you're going to come here, it's more of a drinks/appetizer place. I had the same issue over at Midtown with the burrito bowl, so not sure if it's the standard of how they cook it. But maybe put salt on the table and the issue would be fine?

I came here for a quick lunch with a good friend who was in the area. We came fairly early when they had only been open for 30 mins. We were sat at the first table near the door which I didn't think of being bothersome until more customers started to come in. I know they are making use of every inch of space in this restaurant but the first table should not be used for customers. It's too close to the only door they use for customers coming in and out of the restaurant. I constantly felt like I was in the way and the air from the door swinging open was a tad bit too much for my son and I. Our server's name was Elizabeth and she was very patient and attentive. I ordered the Rreal nachos and added the Pichana steak as it was recommended over the asada and barbacoa by the server. My son had the kids nachos and he opted to add barbacoa for his protein. My nachos were very good but the Pichana steak was very chewy. I had to take several pieces out as I couldn't chew them down. My son who had the nachos with the barbacoa enjoyed them but the presentation wasn't pretty. The barbacoa came out in several chunks and I would have appreciated if it were more shredded than just plopping it in various chunks on a kids plate. I would stick to either chicken or shrimp for my protein in regards to nachos. If I order the barbacoa again I will definitely request it to be more shredded than in chunks. If you are coming here for the first time stick to what you like when it comes to Mexican street food and have it here. I wouldn't venture out too much unless you are familiar with their proteins on certain dishes. I would try them again with another meat to see if I get the same consensus.

Esquite: 3/5 the flavor was pretty decent but was missing the traditional sour cream and butter and it being $6 for something smaller than a taco but more expensive Beef barbacoca: 4/5 the beef was tender and flavor was tasty but portion was way too small compared to the price of tacos at other places. Burrito (beef): 3/5 the beef was soft, tasty, and plentiful but that's was about it. There wasn't a super burrito option but that's not why it's 3/5. It was basically rice, beef, grilled onions. It felt like it was missing the usual pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, and the Spanish rice. In addition, the wait for the food was about 35 minutes for one burrito and one taco which was relatively a longer wait than normal. The ambiance was nice though, it was very Christmas decorated and festive. The menu was also Christmas theme which was nice

The pork belly taco is unreal. Crispy edges on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth fatty inside. Not greasy at all.

Came here on a Saturday night and ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. The ambiance is really nice, though it's a bit on the darker side since most of the lighting comes from the table lamps. The food was decent, but not quite worth the price in my opinion. On the bright side, the drinks were delicious.

!!!!NOT A FIVE STAR REVIEW!!!! Apparently ONLY five star reviews are responded to and acknowledged since all other reviews that are less than, aren't answered. Why do you not answer bad reviews? Why wouldn't you want to make a customer's experience better?? Now I definitely won't be back at the Duluth location.

The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The décor has a La Catrina/Día de los Muertos feel, and the bar is gorgeous, with colorful liquor bottles, skulls, and plenty of eye-catching details. The upbeat music added to the atmosphere, although at one point it briefly sounded like we were at Mass, and I almost started doing the sign of the cross! For drinks, the Marinero was good. The watermelon margarita was okay, but unfortunately, it really didn't taste much like watermelon. We started with the fresh guacamole, which was disappointing. It was pretty lackluster and needed seasoning. When I order fresh guacamole, I'm looking for that classic table-made style with chunks of avocado, cilantro, onion, fresh lime, and plenty of flavor. This just didn't have it. The chicken quesadilla with peppers and onions was good overall, although the chicken was a little dry. The rice was actually very good--fluffy and not dry at all. The charro beans, however, needed some help. They lacked seasoning and that wonderful smoky flavor I expect from good charro beans. Some flavorful chorizo would have taken them to another level. The sopa de pollo had a good base flavor, but some jalapeños would have given it the kick it needed. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay, but again, the salsa needed more spice and personality. That really sums up my experience: the restaurant looks more flavorful than the food tastes. The atmosphere is beautiful, the bar is impressive, and the restaurant has so much potential, but the kitchen needs to bring the same energy. Give me more garlic, cilantro, lime, sazón, spice, smokiness, and bold Mexican flavors. Get rid of the bland! Overall: C+ Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere, but the food needs more seasoning and flavor to match the gorgeous surroundings.
