this was my first time trying Rreal Tacos! it was so yummy! I got the al pastor tacos and a chicken taco and it was delicious. I'm so glad I got to try both. I really like the red sauce they have too. I wish I got more tacos because it was just that good, but it gives me a reason to go back for more. Our server was super attentive and friendly. Been hearing some good reviews about this place; okay, gringo palatable tacos with less greasy protein options seemed to be the driving the reviews. Definitely not authentic as expected with heavy cream and cheese throughout most of their menus, no salsa pica of any sort (BYOYucateco/Valentina/Tapatio) available. Margaritas (guava pina & jalapeno pina) were weak as F, pretty good michelada tho. Friendliest staffs, of course. I came here for a quick lunch with a good friend who was in the area. We came fairly early when they had only been open for 30 mins. We were sat at the first table near the door which I didn't think of being bothersome until more customers started to come in. I know they are making use of every inch of space in this restaurant but the first table should not be used for customers. It's too close to the only door they use for customers coming in and out of the restaurant. I constantly felt like I was in the way and the air from the door swinging open was a tad bit too much for my son and I. Our server's name was Elizabeth and she was very patient and attentive. I ordered the Rreal nachos and added the Pichana steak as it was recommended over the asada and barbacoa by the server. My son had the kids nachos and he opted to add barbacoa for his protein. My nachos were very good but the Pichana steak was very chewy. I had to take several pieces out as I couldn't chew them down. My son who had the nachos with the barbacoa enjoyed them but the presentation wasn't pretty. The barbacoa came out in several chunks and I would have appreciated if it were more shredded than just plopping it in various chunks on a kids plate. I would stick to either chicken or shrimp for my protein in regards to nachos. If I order the barbacoa again I will definitely request it to be more shredded than in chunks. If you are coming here for the first time stick to what you like when it comes to Mexican street food and have it here. I wouldn't venture out too much unless you are familiar with their proteins on certain dishes. I would try them again with another meat to see if I get the same consensus. read more

A super satisfying Taco Night with warm and friendly service from Angie. I ordered the fish taco, and it was a winner with the perfectly fried, large piece of fish and crunchy slaw. The flavors in the picanha taco with the chimichurri sauce and pickled red onions were good, but the meat was tough, and I had to deconstruct in order to eat it. There's also a great $10 deal with two tacos (up charge for steak or fish), beans and rice. We enjoyed the spring breeze at dusk while dining on the outside patio surrounded by tropical plants. This was almost 2 stars based on service but they redeemed themselves. It was two of us on a Saturday night and they get busy. We were told we could sit at the bar and it's full service. We found a spot but we were there for over 20 mins before a bartender glanced our way and helped us. I guess all the bartenders assumed we had been helped. We ordered the trio appetizer, chicken birria, and birria quesadilla. They came out pretty quickly and the food was absolutely tasty and big portion sizes for the price. The queso was good but it came out room temp and not hot. The salsa was good and the guac was great. One of the best beef birria items I have had. Another ding for them is no horchata the menu says horchata but fine print says select locations and this location was not one of them. I will say, this location was nice compared to the one in Midtown. Service was great. Really easy people to deal with. Jess was great! I got the strawberry margarita and that was good. The guac was sooooo good. However, I got their lychee martini burrito bowl, and I wasn't really happy with how that came out. It was bland. Even when adding the sauces they have on the table, it was still bland. It really needed some salt. The steak in my burrito bowl was burnt and really hard to chew on. I think if you're going to come here, it's more of a drinks/appetizer place. I had the same issue over at Midtown with the burrito bowl, so not sure if it's the standard of how they cook it. I'm always down for a night at Rreal tacos. It's always a fun vibe, especially around any holiday! Love the themed decor and drinks. Service is always great. As for the food, I'm also a big fan. I love sharing the taco platter. Literally SO MUCH FOOD. Tacos are stuffed, too, no skimping out on the meat lol. Esquite: 3/5 the flavor was pretty decent but was missing the traditional sour cream and butter and it being $6 for something smaller than a taco but more expensive Beef barbacoca: 4/5 the beef was tender and flavor was tasty but portion was way too small compared to the price of tacos at other places. Burrito (beef): 3/5 the beef was soft, tasty, and plentiful but that's was about it. There wasn't a super burrito option but that's not why it's 3/5. It was basically rice, beef, grilled onions. It felt like it was missing the usual pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, and the Spanish rice. In addition, the wait for the food was about 35 minutes for one burrito and one taco which was relatively a longer wait than normal. This was my daughter and I's 1st time eating here and Xiomara made it such a special occasion! Not only was she tremendously helpful with the menu , her recommendation were on point!! Stared off with dip trio! The guacamole was so fresh and had great flavor! Also, had the cucumber/ mint margarita. it was so fresh and light! Perfect summer time drink! We came for the Valentine's pop-up and loved all the decor! We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server was very nice although it seemed like they had her waiting on tables all over the place, rather than staying in one area to be more attentive. The cupid's box was great, but it should have had an option for in-house vs. it only being to-go. The cocktails were great like always although initially slow coming out. The ducks should be offered for maybe an additional 50 cents on 1st drink for those not wanting a 2nd drink. Loyal customers who have been with it from the beginning are used to it coming on every drink. I've never witnessed a restaurant deck out there dining area the way they do for Xmas Halloween & Valentine's Day. It's such a fun experience if you love a good themed party place Rreal Tacos has you covered. We had told her it was our first time here and she recommended many options from the menu and helped us decide our meal.Our food came out quickly, everything was correct, and she checked in to make sure we had what we needed although she was only the host and not our server. This is a new taco spot that opened up in downtown Duluth, almost right across from Pure Taqueria. I was in a group of 5 girls on a Wednesday night. Food was good and well-seasoned. We ordered a taco platter, chips with queso, and esquites to share, as well as a pitcher of Margarita. Everything was tasty and nothing was over or under salted. Out of the meats for our tacos (chicken, beef barbacoa, shrimp, picanha), I enjoyed the shrimp and barbacoa the most. The margarita pitcher is a great deal-- we tried the Pineapple Guava. I was a little iffy at first because of the mezcal, but it paired well with the Pineapple in there. Overall a little on the sweet side, but I still enjoyed it. The biggest downfall here was the service. While all of the staff was friendly and engaging, it was very difficult to get assistance when needed. It took a while to put our order in, it took a while to put additional drinks in, we had to wait to get sharing plates and our food sat in front of us getting cold, water cups sat empty, things we asked for multiple times went forgotten, a while to get our checks-- things like that. Just felt neglected. The food was good and everyone seemed friendly enough, so I'd probably return and hope my lacking service experience was just a fluke. The pichane taco was not good at all in my opinion i couldn't even finish the taco it was very chewy. The quesabirria taco wasn't bad but i've had better quesabirria tacos and the separate charge for consome was a little ridiculous and it wasn't that good in my opinion. The asada taco was probably my favorite taco. The steak was really good in it. The crispy fish had a bitter taste which i didn't like. The esquietes was good. The christmas decorations were pretty and the place definitely had an aesthetic feel. Service may have been my main issue since we had made the mistake of ordering on the screen since we didn't see anyone to seat us or anything we just did the same as the people in front of us not knowing it was for to go and immediately after placing we realized and i went up to someone working there to explain that we had wanted to eat here and didn't realize that we ordered to go. She started to tell us subtly since we aren't tipping we "weren't worth a table for the server". I had never been more offended. We proceeded to explain to 3 different people that we wanted to eat there. After a lot of explaining they told us we could sit if we ordered something at the table. We sat down and ordered another taco and consome and the waitress asked if we wanted to add that to the to go or for here I again explained how we wanted all of our food here. There wasn't much wait in between getting the food and ordering but the whole situation was frustrating. The food is always great and it's quick service. I'm sat within a minute or two of walking in, and if there's a wait I am given the choice of the bar. The vibe and ambience is chill, even though it's a bit loud, most people keep to themselves. Last time I visited I had Angie and she was wonderful, even spoke Spanish with me. I am a recent alumna from undergrad and don't have very many friends or family who speak Spanish, so being able to practice after completing school is helpful for me. I just visited the Rreal Tacos Valentine's Bar and it's hands down the biggest Valentine's pop-up in Atlanta, with all locations fully decked out in swoon-worthy décor and a limited-time menu that's perfect for date night, Galentine's, or a fun night out.
