First thing I'll say is easy parking right off the boulevard. That's very important and rare in Big Bear. The food is another reason to come here. So good. Chips and 2 types of salsa were very good. My oldest and I were super pleased with our plates and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They were playing our favorite songs and the staff was super friendly. This is a very nice restaurant. Yummmmm! This place is big on my list for Mexican resturaunts. I had see frinds recommend this place and they did not disapoint! We came in for lunch and it was t to busy. The restraint was clean and had some pretty cool decor. We sat in the bar area which was empty other than our party. He chips and salsa usually makes or breaks a Mexican resturaunt for me. They checked the box! They also provide you with 2 different salsas! That stood out because I don't know of anything place that does that. I was deffintly satisfied with my meal. So we were driving into big Bear to grab a bite to eat from Sugarloaf. We had just bought a place and was hungry and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. We saw this great looking Mexican restaurant and decided to pull in. We went in and the restaurant was packed. We could tell why quickly afterwards. We were seated and appeared. Something must've been going on in town and that is the reason for the extra amount of guest everywhere. The restaurant was a very nice looking newer style Mexican restaurant. We were seated quickly and asked for a drink order. Within moments chips and salsa appeared along with our drinks. After looking at the menu, we decided that we would split an order of chicken fajitas. The fajitas were outstanding. They had a great taste. They had a full amount of vegetables with them. They didn't come out sizzling like most fajitas do at Mexican restaurants. They were hot and the food was outstanding. At the end of the day, the service was good, the restaurant looked clean, and the food was great. We will definitely be coming back here again when it's a little less busy. Hacienda Grille is definitely one of the Mexican spots to visit when you're in Big Bear. We had a great experience from start to finish. I ordered a spicy margarita, which was perfectly balanced with just the right kick, and Ray had a blended peach margarita, which he really enjoyed -- refreshing and smooth. We shared an order of steak and chicken fajitas, and they were excellent. The meats were cooked perfectly, the tomatoes were nicely grilled, the beans were really tasty, and the rice was good and flavorful. The chips were clearly homemade, and the salsa was excellent -- fresh and full of flavor. One thing I really appreciated was the portion size. It was good to know before ordering that one order of fajitas is more than enough for two people, which made it a great value. Our waitress Bebe was really sweet and attentive, making sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. The service was great overall. The atmosphere was pleasant. Five stars. Ok. I have been waiting - like WAITING - to have a restaurant that made me happy up here in Big Bear! This is our third trip up here and I am so happy that I found this place on Yelp! Alexander. For the busy times at BB- I'd also say awesome for parking bc they have their own lot and are a big restaurant, away from downtown main strip. Let's discuss the food, shall we? Homemade chips and two salsas. No one told me I should have been putting chili powder on my tortilla chips before? Where has this been my whole life and why don't the sell them like this in stores? I will be recreating at home from now on, thank you very much. Salsa was awesome too. I'm simple, chili powder haha. Our table had these huge margaritas and they loved them. Now for the real deal. I tried to put all the right names from the ordered items on the photos. I'll start with mine. I haven't had flautas in a restaurant since I lived in NJ (don't judge, they were amazing back home at a particular restaurant), and that was maybe 8 years ago, but these were amazing. Not only picture perfect, but the delicate pickled radishes, the cotija cheese, the shredded lettuce underneath and my side of guac - - mouth pleasing. Lightly crisped and perfect chicken filled - so delicious I had to hold back from not leaving myself enough for a second meal. Haha. Another person at the table had beef flautas - similar experience and enjoyment. There were tacos and tacos. All were loved by my friend, with only one taco that had a higher pineapple ratio to meat. But the rest made up for that. (I enjoyed that extra pineapple by the way) I haven't had Mexican out in a while, we tend to make our taco Tuesday's ourself, but I've been craving a Mexican night recently and this definitely went above and beyond. Came here during a quick getaway to Big Bear and decided to give Hacienda Grill a try. Honestly, this place delivered on the vibes. Good food, good drinks, and a nice spot to just relax after being out all day. The shrimp cocktail was actually really good. Super flavorful and refreshing. Chips and salsa were solid, and that hot sauce had a nice kick to it. My wife loved the mango margaritas, which honestly looked just as good as they tasted. The al pastor tacos were decent. Not bad, not amazing, just somewhere in the middle. The only reason I'm dropping a star is the service. It was pretty slow even though it wasn't a full house. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. We had an amazing experience here! We came in with a party of 12, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming, patient, and incredibly organized in getting our large group seated comfortably. The service throughout our visit was excellent attentive without being overwhelming, and always friendly. They made sure everyone in our group was taken care of, and our food and drinks came out in a timely manner despite the size of our party. It's not always easy to handle a large group, but they did it with such professionalism and a positive attitude. We truly felt valued as customers. Stopped by around 3:30 in the afternoon for an IPA and some chips and guac, picking up dinner to go. Service at the bar was great, and the bartender recommended the Barbacoa. Their chips and salsa are very nice. The chips could do with a more liberal dusting of whatever light seasoning they have because it is really enjoyable. The service for me around 3pm was very quick. We were seated almost immediately at an ada friendly table indoors. Chips and salsa were ready to go as soon as we sat. We are able to dive into two different flavorful salsa's . One for those who dont like spice and the second charred to perfection with a spicy kick. I opted for a dulce jalapeño margarita (water melon flavor) it was absolutely delicious. Muddled jalapeños a heavily tajin rimmed glass touched add that touch of citric spice with each sip and the sweet crisp freshness of watermelon tasted like the Mexican can shots / childhood candies. This was a perfect pairing to my carne asada. Picking the perfect margarita was tricky and I wish they offered flights due to the amazing cocktail line up . My food was phenomenal. So much flavor in each bite. My carne asada marinated to perfection, tender and juicy. Rice and beans tasted like home cooking. My mom opted for steak fajitas and let me tell you. The delicious aroma coming from the hot sizzling plate tickled at your senses. My mouth watered at the smell of steak sizzled onions and peppers . Just reminiscing as I write has me drooling. The steak and peppers were all tender and full of delicious flavor. Customer service was very hospitable and my overall experience was incredible. I ate so well I needed a nap. Really had high hopes for this establishment. We stopped by a few days before Christmas in hopes for delicious Mexican food as it has decent ratings on Yelp. I was not impressed. Service definitely gets 5-Stars, but the food was medio-core at best. The cool part was they air-fry their chips, and good seasoning. I loved seeing that. The downfall was we received 2 dishes of salsa and the one I was eating out of had the longest hair in it that came out when i dipped my chip to scoop. I gave it to my husband to toss on the floor... Having worked in the food industry, I get it, it happens. However it is still off-putting though. However, what I base my reviews on for a Mexican restaurant is the staples. Which is the rice and beans. While, the rice was decent in flavor, not the best, but not the worst I've had, unfortunately the beans needed more flavor and salt. My son didn't care too much for the adobada/al pastor tacos. They did allow him to have everything on the side, which was great. We both tasted it and my Husband liked it, but I did not care for the flavor at all. The is a waiting area and a front patio especially for those who need handicap accessible seating. We were greeted and seated right away, the place was clean, cozy and decorated with the Christmas theme.. so warm and inviting. First came the chips and salsa which were delicious! Service was excellent! Food and drinks very good! I was observing the young employees on a busy Friday evening and they were on the move the whole time with really good attitudes, a smile on their faces with no requests too big or too small, Fast and friendly just how I like it! I was sitting in front of the kitchen and watching the chefs and they were hustling getting everybody's food out in a timely manner When we ran out of chips, we didn't even have to ask for more. The salsas are outstanding. One a bit spicier than the other but nearly impossible to choose a favorite. We ordered the chicken and steak fajita combination with black beans and rice with corn tortillas. The fajita arrives on a sizzling cast iron skillet with generous amounts of grilled onions and carmelized red peppers. We rounded our order out with their house guacamole. The guacamole, itself, could have used a bit more salt but the perfectly salted chips helped solve that. The margaritas are dangerously good. And the mix they use tastes fresh and house made. I loved that these were served with dehydrated lemon wheels and a sprig of thyme. Pablo took excellent care of us and we will 100% return. read more

This is a great Mexican restaurant up in the mountains. It looks very nice and inviting when you walk in. They also have TV's showing some games which we liked. Our waiter was also very nice. After making an online reservation and being seated, we were immediately accused by another waitress saying "excuse me, did you guys even check in?" whereas the other waiter had to interrupt and said, "it was (name) party of (number)." Food was okay, I do appreciate the heaters outside - I got the bistek ranchero special & I wasn't really expecting the meat portion of the meal to be covered in sauce like that?
