Friendly service in a nice casual atmosphere. Pretty lively on a Friday night - there was a DJ, dance floor, table tennis and corn hole game. Clean and spacious, friendly staff. Food came out quick - just no frills. About what you'd expect but nothing more. Steak was overcooked but portion sizes on everything were fair. Nice that they are open late, I'd come again. PS there was a 3% "ccf" charge added to my bill, I assume it was a credit card fee. Would have been nice to get a heads up about it, or maybe it was written somewhere but I missed it but it definitely caught me off guard. read more

If I could I would give this place zero stars. Food was really gross. Ordered New York stake asked for medium rare and it was well done and very chewy. Ordered the tritip and it was dry. Ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was not good has double flat bread crust. Mac and cheese was watery with no flavor. Don't come here for bbq save all your money. As we walk in there last Wednesday the first thing I see is a young lady breastfeeding her child, whilst line dancing. I was surprised to see this part of Americana, previously restricted to the deep south, in Big Bear, California. The jalapeno poppers were solid, the cocktails were alright, but the tri-tip sliders were garbage! I don't know how to cook tri-tip so I can't say where they went wrong, but they went wrong. Very fun establishment! Massive outdoor patio with sawdust on the floor, a large stage for live music and large dance floor. A lot of seating, cornhole games and little cabanas for private parties. Cute little tiki bar as well. Inside is massive with an indoor bar and lovely festive decorations everywhere. Line dancing on Wednesday nights. Ample free parking. Big celebration of I believe over two months for Oktoberfest! Dwayne served us our drinks and then we went and got our table and ordered Wyatt's jumbo wings with a side of Louisiana hot sauce and then we got a side of garlic and Parmesan to dip them in. Decent prices. Very fun way to eat them so they don't get soggy. Very friendly staff & very fun experience! Probably gets really exciting when live music starts and people start gathering to dance. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. I was skeptical about door dashing a cocktail but I was SO surprised when it came in a mason jar. Honey mustard was so tasty I used on my sandwich instead of the pickles. The pickles were good but a bit breaded for my taste. Never been here before, but wanted to check it out before Oktoberfest started up here in big Bear. I love the decorations of this place, seems to be fully embracing the Oktoberfest vibe. We were about the only ones here, and the power did go out during our visit, but by then we had got our drinks and placed our food order. We sat outside amongst the trees and it was very lovely, too bad the main road is so close to the beer garden, but you can't have everything. I was pretty pleased with my beer, the wings were pretty standard, which means good, but the skinny margarita was a bit different than the standard as it had a pineapple taste to it... The food was good, not a wow! had great fried pickles, ordinary street tacos and pizza. A bit pricey for what we got. Walk up to order, food brought to us but we never saw the server again, needed to go hunt down a refill on our drinks. Table covering was dirty, same for other tables around. Went to the bathroom to get wet towels to wipe the table off. Staff was very friendly but seemed focused on a very large event - we felt out of place or an afterthought. This place is lame. Do not come here if you have kids and they want to dance to live music. We chose this place because it was open and seemed great for our children. We were excited because it had a band that night so went early. As soon as the live music came on at 6pm, our kids got shooed off the dance floor for the adults to dance. I understand if it was 8/9pm but if you are going to expect to keep kids off the dance floor then make it for 18+ to enter. It's pretty impossible to tell a 2 and 4 year old they can't dance. Also, the food was pretty average at best but wasn't expecting great given it seemed like a nice family / community space. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Tacos and Spaghetti & Meatballs were Great. Wings were so over-fried that you got very little chicken. All crunch. 2 of them were just bone... Chowder was just OK, but not worth the price paid and Tenders were too hard, from frying, to really have a more than average opinion. It was freezing cold too, so probably caused problems for cooking. It's a 'convenience-counter' style, so you have to look at a menu on a wall, order and pay at a window, grab plastic utensils from a dispenser and then they deliver to the table, which most tables are folding banquet tables, with folding metal chairs... Napkins is a brown paper towel roll on a dowel dispenser in middle of table. I'm sure it's a "Local Charm", if we were locals, but we were looking for more comfort & convenience, since it costs so much to stay up here... Fun for the whole fam. Wednesday night line dancing was a great time :) Their asada fries were pretty good though a little on the spicy side (or idk if they were called asada fries but they were steak and fries with other toppings). Everyone is sooooo friendly! We were visiting for the week and this was the highlight for me. I even got a two-step dance in. Adia was teaching a few line dances and it was lovely, per usual when she teaches (I've takes classes with her in LA as well). 10/10 would recommend and go again read more

Had a chance to try Wyatt's during the Mountain Christmas Boutique and was not disappointed. I loved the food, my wife loved the food, my kids devoured it - it was a great time. I tried the Western Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of tots, and we also had The BBQ Chicken Pizza and Dino Nuggets. At first glance, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger is super tall - we definitely got some looks while walking the plate to our table. But it's super easy to take the onion rings off. I'll just say that I'm really picky when it comes to onion rings and tater tots, and Wyatt's does them right. Perfect amount of batter on the onion rings and a great crunch. For the tots - very crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside. The bacon was a little on the salty side, but it wasn't too bad. Lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese rounded out the burger, with a pretty large dollop of BBQ sauce (I could have used less - it was really messy!). Service was super friendly, and food came out fast. We were at the boutique, so plenty of things to see and do before and after we ate the delicious meal. read more

I was turned away at a few different spots since a lot of places close at 9pm, I stopped at a few places around 7:45pm and 8pm and was told "We probably won't be able to sit you" NOT HERE! Not only was the food great, but the atmosphere was amazing and vibe was on point! Food: burger was so good, tasted charbroiled and bun was toasted fabulously. Only bummer, fries are not included and for a $16 burger would have been appreciated. Not pictured was my wife's Tri-Tip, it was good, not the best I ever had but for what it was it was good. Came with two sides, Mac and Cheeses (SO GOOD) and a cold slaw that was great! Kids meals were priced great and food was great! Any place that serves kids Mac and Cheese and be fresh and not Kraft is ok in my book. Service: there is not much, you order at a window and someone brings your food.... That's about all the service there is. No one comes and checks on you and since the drinks are not refillable there really is no point. We did ask for some ranch and the person never came back, had to get our own forks and napkins come on a paper towel holder (so genius) If you are looking for a traditional sit down restaurant this place is not that.... During the time of COVID, you end up having to bring a lot of food home to avoid those infectious crowds. With a family trip to Big Bear on the books, we spent our first night eating in from Wyatt's Grill & Saloon. Looking through the pics, I realized that quite a bit of the allure is the ambiance and fanfare associated with sitting in the dining hall; something you miss out on when all you do is pickup a few bags at the counter. Top that with eating the diner style food we ordered after it had spent a good 15-20 minutes steaming itself in a closed box, and all of us were disappointed with what could have been a slightly better dinner and possibly an entertaining show. Everything we had was a bit stale, bland, and simple. In many ways, diner food should be along those lines, but I'm sure eating it at a table, freshly served, would have made the fries crispier and the burgers juicer. Instead, we stood around the bar at our rental, exchanging shrugs and the occasional potshot at the quality of our food. I had the Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Guacamole Sandwich and honestly don't remember much about it all this time later. My wife had the Swiss Mushroom Burger, finding it dry and a bit under seasoned, but not horrible. My son opted for the Orange Chicken Platter, which I thought was kind of ambitious and probably would have pleased many with its style. But, for an eight year old who was looking for something more along the lines of his expected Chinese Bowl of sweet, breaded chicken and rice, was very disappointed by the grilled chicken and the lightly spicy jalapeño jelly it was glazed with. Also turning up his nose at that cole slaw (which I agreed in his disdain for), he mostly just stuck to his fries. Personally, I thought his chicken was the best thing we had ordered; even topping the Tri-Tip Sliders which should have been a slam dunk. Anyway, a disappointing first night to our vacation, probably brought upon by bringing our food back to the house instead of opting to eat it fresh. My burger was juicy and bun was buttery quite impressed. That's all I have to say about the food. It's definitely more a place for socializing and drinking and line dancing classes and getting your groove on during the week then I'm sure the live music on weekends. You don't come here for 5 star food. I have to say it was ridiculously hot inside. Hotter inside than outside at 8:30pm. So much so that we just couldn't hang out like we wanted to....unfortunately. Visited with family and friends this past Friday because we wanted to hear some live music and do some dancing. We visited once before during much colder weather and had a good time indoors. The weather was amazing this time and we were able to enjoy their outdoor seating and stage/dance floor. Plenty of tables. The food is consistent a good value. Plenty of beer and wine options (we did not have any cocktails). Service is above average, friendly and helpful. A great place to visit for live music, good food and a beer. Love this place. So disappointed ion this trip. Atmosphere is great. Band was on point. Drinks are great. Here is the problem, had a member of the group that's gluten free. Worked with the team for what they could provide. Instead of the normal sides, the only option was a salad, which was fine. Somebody needs to train a little better, the salad was covered in croutons. Now I would be ok with it but when one of the workers came out I mentioned the "confusion". Now I don't know up here in the mountains, but the right answer would have been so sorry, let's replace that with the correct one (salad doesn't cost anything ).
