The balcony was filthy, crawling with bugs, covered in vines, and in desperate need of a power wash. The railing was rickety and rusted--definitely not somewhere you'd want to linger with a drink in hand. As for amenities, the hot water took a full ten minutes to arrive, which felt symbolic of the overall experience: slow, neglected, and not worth the wait. For the price per night, this place is a complete letdown. It feels more like a rundown roadside motel than the getaway it pretends to be. Skip it. There are far better options in the area that actually care about their guests--and their property.

The service at Wolfe's has always been friendly and the food is served quickly and in generous portions. And you certainly cannot beat the cabin-feel atmosphere! However, the menu lists breakfast entrees come with a side of toast. I ordered the eggs benedict and asked for wheat toast on side. On our bill I was charged $1.99 for the toast as "a side." When I pointed out to the waitress that breakfast entrees come with toast, according to the menu, she argued that since there is an English muffin in the entree, so it's not included. Call me petty, but either the menu is incorrect or one of us is not reading carefully. The $1.99 charge stayed (I didn't even bring up the terrible home fries!). Not sure when or why the change at Wolfe's. We used to really love this place, and have been coming for years.
