Plenty of beers on tap with a full kitchen. Great way to have lunch after playing a round of golf or practicing at the driving range.

Shrimp fettuccine! Lots of shrimp, delicious!

I had been waiting at Mel Rapton for my car to be serviced so I was taken next door to the cafe at Haggin Oaks for lunch. I was served shrimp fettuccine. There were lots of seafood options and since it's Friday during lent, I was very pleased. It was $10 and it was delightful. Generous portion of shrimp, pesto with asparagus. Add a portion of garlic toast and I was very pleased.

Two eggs with potatoes and toast for 5.50.

I've only had breakfast here, but each time the food has been decent and the prices tolerable. There is absolutely no reason to go out of your way to come here, but there's also no reason not to stop here for some food if you are out on the course or the terrific driving range.

When we got there another person showed up so I would say roughly nine people within the restaurant around that time. I was extremely excited that behind the register was the owner and we told him it was our first time and he gave us an explanation of the drinks and the food and what his recommendations were considering that we were pretty hungry. We got the Kai Gata, the sunrise wrap, the pandan cold brew, and Oliang. First thing I need to call out cuz this was a user error I did not stir my cold brew when I got it I just started drinking it and I should have started with the straw or a spoon because all of the syrup was at the bottom. So little FYI and make sure to stir it so you get the full experience and taste. Beyond that little cautionary tale, the space was amazing like I said earlier and when the food came the owner had a big smile on his face and he just again was someone that made you feel welcomed. I loved my wrap. Though it was small in size it felt so feeling though and home-y. I am a person that likes spice and so I did ask the owner if he had any kind of spice and he gave me something from the back that I put on there that was superb a little citrusy a little peppery and I was just in heaven once I had that extra bit of sizzle. My friend really enjoyed his plate he said it was definitely comfort food and it is something that he remembers from his travels that he had on a random street corner talking to people within the area. We only went for breakfast but I definitely want to check out what this place looks like at night. The bar looked super fun and cozy so I wonder what that will be. Definitely going to make time to go back at some point soon.

They have now become my go to place for Ethiopian when I am in the Sacramento area. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and placed our order at the counter. They also serve breakfast, speciality coffees and a variety of drinks. We ordered the veggie platter, gored gored and chicken tibs. Absolutely delicious!!! The shiro was the best I have had in a long time. Everything was hot and fresh. The dressing on the salad really stood out and the leaves were nice and crispy. The restaurant is small but welcoming. You sit where you would like. After placing your order and paying at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. Kind Bean Cafe is located in a small strip mall. I highly recommend. We will be back.

And don't be shy, use your hands, tear off a small piece of the bread, wrap up some stew, and enjoy! If there are two or more of you, the staff may ask if you want to have everything on one plate. Say yes unless you really don't want to. This is how food is traditionally served, diners gathering around a large platter to share various stews and salads, sometime offering a morsel to an honored guest or loved one. A beautiful tradition of sharing, caring and bonding. The place is not fancy, but it's very bright and clean. A shame though there's no fancy setup for making coffee the traditional way... the coffee comes in a paper cup like anywhere else.

Fast forward today, and wow!! Everything in the meal for this week that I ordered (see photos) was full of flavor! I was blown away and sooo full, after savoring every bit, that I needed to save some for another day. The duck spring rolls and ginger cranberry chutney were so delicious that I wished I could have more! The Thai grilled chicken was juicy and PACKED with mouth watering curry spices and flavors, while being perfectly paired with the ginger noodles. The ginger noodles had a kick, and I am a weakling when it comes to even mild spice, so I was relieved by the rolls that balanced out the noodles and chicken. I have enjoyed many scrumptious baked goods, including my fav breakfast biscuit sandwich with eggs and lemon squares, made by the students and sold in the Oak Café, so it was such a treat today to finally be able to enjoy their cooking talents for my lunch also. I look forward to another pleasant meal cooked by the talented ARC students, and cross my fingers for a dine-in reservation in the future!
