Service was great. Asked for recommendations decided on #2 castaway- Turkey, Bacon,Cheddar Cheese& Avocado. I selected on a Dutch crunch roll. Everything on it except no peppers and pickles. I had them make it a meal with fountain drink and chips. It came warm and fully loaded. Yummy and filling. Plenty of places to sit and eat. Will be back since it was really close to work.

I visited The Sandwich Spot in Sacramento, CA [1555 River Park Dr] on Friday, 05/30/25, around noon. On this visit, I decided to build my own sandwich. I opted for Salami, Ham, Cheddar Cheese, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles, Mayo, and Mustard on a Dutch Crunch Roll. I grabbed a bag of the Hawaiian brand Jalapeño Chips. The food was simply tasty. The ingredients from the sandwich were fresh and delish. The staff members were pleasant and kind. The inside of the restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall, I recommend visiting The Sandwich Spot for a fantastic, palatable sandwich.

This sandwich shop is in a corporate area and your directions forgot to tell you to drive around the side to find them! This establishment was very clean and refreshing, decorated Hawaiian theme. I had a #22 which they call a Lone survivor (Ruben type) sandwich. The meat was tender and had little fat on meat. They have a sandwich for almost every day of the week, hence great selection. The perky thing here is that if you want coffee hot or cold they have a vendor next to them for that. I would definitely come here again,

Trying out The Sandwich Spot for the very first time. They offered a lot of different sandwiches on their menu. It did make it kinda hard for me to decided which one i wanted to try lol Nav was helping me and he gave me some recommendations. I ended up ordering #18 Pineapple Express on Dutch crunch bread. Since it was my first time, I had him put everything on the sandwich. I know for next time to not have all the condiments in my sandwich. The sandwich was good but definitely got too messy from all the sauces =P. It was huge as well. I enjoyed the dutch crunch bread. It was my first time having it. Nav provided exceptional services. He was super easy to talk to. Nice, friendly and patient. I will definitely try different sandwiches next time.

I had great & friendly service and a delicious & large sandwich from The Sandwich Spot on River Park Dr. I ordered a Bermuda Blaze with everything except pickles and my friend got a Blue Lagoon with bomb sauce, both on Dutch Crunch. The sandwiches were hefty and flavorful and the lady helping me was so sweet! I hope I'll be able to come back the next time I have a weekday off and I'm in the area. They offer a lot of creations that I would love to try.

A solid 3.7, This is a cool little sandwich spot that shares its space with the Sweet Oven Bakery, inside a business center. The service was excellent and the lady making our sandwiches was very nice. Our sandwiches were good. The sweet roll wasn't amazing and too airy but the meats were good. Everything was fresh. I didn't love the mac salad. The noodles were a little undercooked for me but the flavor was good. My son enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. He loaded his up with bacon, cream cheese and avocado! We paid $34 for two sandwiches and a mac salad. If I was in the area we would probably go back.

The Sandwich Spot is located in the same building as Sweet Oven Bakery! They have a variety of options with sandwich choices and the staff are willing to recommend which are the most popular! Staff are very friendly, the environment is tidy and sparkly. I ordered number 11, Fiji Fantasy, pepper jack cheese and no tomatoes. Though, I did ask for the most popularly ordered bread, I'm unsure of what the texture is supposed to be. It looked crunchy but when I took a bite, it was stale almost all the way through. Considering, I didn't let it sit for long either and they stated it was a warmer sandwich. Nonetheless, the sandwich was fantastic and comforting! I will definitely be returning to try other options!

#5 Cancun Crusher - with sweet bread roll, American cheese, all the condiments but no mustard

I never thought I'd say this but this place is better than THE ORIGINAL SANDWICH SPOT. The original location has been my go to but after trying the #5 that has quickly changed. Very juicy, fresh and flavorful sandwich. I will definitely be coming here whenever I'm in the Arden area! Aside from the food the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is really nice as well. It's super cool that both the Sandwich Spot and Sweet Oven Bakery have a shared space and offer more than one food service. I'll be showing this place to friends and family!

It's huge, and it's fun. You pick the bread, you pick the veggies, you pick the condiments, they pick the meat. I can never finish a whole sandwich, I can only get through half at a time .. My favorite deli in San Francisco before they closed, was "Panelli Brothers, and they sold what was called, a "Panelli whatever.". Same concept. The special takes me right back to that. My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.

For those living in the neighborhood this is such a convenient spot. This is a smaller grocery store so you won't be able to find everything, but what they do have is plenty. There's fresh produce, wine, beer, shelf stable items essential to everyday recipes, and where they really shine is their deli and butcher area. They also have some prepared items like desserts, salads, dressings, pickles, dips, and more. On my latest visit I ended up ordering their Italian Hero ($11.99) from the deli counter, and picked up some of their pickles and house made caesar dressing. Everything was high quality and I loved that they have these options available. The Caesar dressing is delicious and I'll definitely be stopping in again for more. I've been using it on salads since picking it up. It had a good amount of parmesan cheese so The pickles have a very unique flavor, they're definitely tasty but not my favorite version of Dill Pickles- they are more tangy and zingy that traditional dill pickles, not bad just not what I expected. (I was thinking more kosher dill, like Claussen pickles or like the pickles you'd get at a Jewish deli). The sandwich was the star of the show, for $11.99 it was HUGE, the Italian Hero comes with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roasted red bell pepper, and provolone- all sandwiches also come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The combination of ingredients on Dutch Crunch bread was amazing and I think having roasted red peppers as an option is underrated, it elevates a sandwich so much. While I wouldn't do my normal shopping here, I would absolutely come for specialty items or pick up needed items for convenience. I'll be back again soon!
