This was my first time eating at Haidilao. To be honest, I usually prefer a plain broth when I eat hot pot, so I had never really thought about coming here before. I always felt like ordering plain broth at Haidilao might be a waste of all the famous soup bases Today I met up with a friend at the mall, and he suggested Haidilao, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The vegetables were fresh, the meat was delicious, and everything tasted great. I wish I had come here sooner. The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and I really enjoyed the sauce bar and side dishes. What makes it even better is that I actually work right next door, so it's super convenient for me. I also found out they have a great lunch special, which is a really good value. I think I'll be coming back often for hot pot lunches. Highly recommend! read more

I really could eat this for the rest of my life and be okay. They still have great quality meat and vegetables. I don't like the seafood much cause it's kinda flavorless frozen seafood, and aside from the shrimp, every time I order some form of seafood I regret it. Kitty is a fantastic server, very attentive and helpful, and she was working her tail off yesterday. The service is generally good but the kitchen has been rough the last couple of times. We had missing items this last time, and we legitimately waited almost 50 minutes for the majority of our dishes the time before that. I rate 4/5 stars only because of price point, being in this area there is incredible food options all throughout the region and I feel that despite it being very delicious I'm not eager to seek out this option give the price point. I'd also add there are things that could be included in a package or amenity as it relates to the food bars and appetizers. Clearer package pricing or grouped in values would be nice and allow for better price point transparency especially for larger groups. The ambience is lovely, the space and setting are very nice and top notch. This was my favorite part. The staff was informative and engaging, no complaints. read more

The food is amazing. Ordering is a bit of a learning curve so I recommend you visit with a group to be able to try multiple soup bases and accompaniments. The servers are super helpful and very patient with our multitude of questions. I recommend the mushroom soup base, tom yum soup base, with the premium golden fish maw chicken soup base as the go-to. Don't miss ordering the Dancing Noodles as they are both inexpensive, entertaining, and freshly pulled at the table. Came on a Monday night (holiday season) and the wait was 30 minutes around 8pm. We were seated at 8:30pm and got started on ordering! This location does individual pots for the soup with MANY options! Prices are high but the quality is good, we spent around $50 per person with 1 meat, 1 fish ball order, 1 dumpling order, 2 veggies and 1 noodle. I would probably only come here for special occasions. Highlights - Golden Fish Maw Chicken Soup - wow this soup base was delicious! - Lamb - incredibly soft, high quality lamb that absorbed all the flavors of the soup base Overall the ingredient variety, sauce bar and experience are top tier. The Arcadia spot is tucked in a large indoor mall that isn't very lively besides the Round One or theater there, but trust me: Haidilao is structured similarly to many of the other locations with the standard booths, sauce stations, dancing noodle performances, and robot servers with waters. I came with some friends for a birthday celebration and they treated us stupendously. We got LOTS of food (mostly red meats, vegetables, noodles, and appetizers) in broth--the tastiest and most filling meal for a party of four. The sweetest part was them singing Happy Birthday to me and giving us a coconut cake on the house. It was very sweet and soft, though it tasted like it had been refrigerated or thawed out from the freezer for a while. Don't get the fish maw, nothing special and doesn't taste real. I liked the mint they gave us at the end. It has different flavors and very interesting flavor for a mint. But I do enjoy the beef quite a lot. The ordering process is fairly straightforward. I would pass on the seafood platter if I could, and the highlights of this place, is being able to make a match your own sauce at the bar, or picking out some random snacks they have laid out. They are not the healthiest, so be careful.
