Of course we had to come back to our favorite tofu spot, and this time we brought the family for a belated Mother's Day dinner after raving about this place nonstop. Best part? We saw Shelly, our favorite girl that works here! She's always so sweet, kind, and welcoming every single time we visit. It honestly makes the experience even better when you're greeted by familiar friendly faces. We came around 7:30 PM and the wait was only about 10 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how popular this place gets. Service was quick, efficient, and the food kept coming out fast. Plenty of tables inside, so it never felt too cramped. This time around we ordered: * Jap Chae * Bulgogi with Beef & Seafood Tofu Combo * Spicy Pork w/ seafood & beef combo * Teriyaki Chicken w/ seafood & beef tofu * Bulgogi with All Seafood & Beef Tofu Combo And of course... the unlimited refills of the banchan are always one of the best parts. Honestly, sometimes I think I could make a full meal out of just those alone. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly why we keep coming back every couple of months. I will say the prices have slowly been creeping up little by little each visit, but honestly, we still enjoy it every time. I'm not quite sure why this place has such high reviews for a korean spot. The service was lacking for a pretty empty restrauant at the time. I had to wave them servers down whenever I needed something or wanted a refill on the banchan. There were multiple servers just standing there looking at the entrance door. In terms of food, I got the kimchi soondubu with spicy chicken, Rabokki, and cold noodles. The cold noodles and soondubu were decent but, the egg was already placed inside the boiling soondubu stone pot so the egg yolk was cooked well done (not a preference of mine) . The spicy chicken had flavor but was very oily. My main disappointment was with the Rabokki, a huge FAIL. There was absolute NO flavor and poor spice level, barely any tteobokki, and too much cabbage. In terms of their banchan, the fish cakes were probably the best tasting. The seaweed and bean sprouts weren't too bad but, their kimchi cabbage and cucumber were lacking so much flavor and fermentation. I've been here twice and was let down both times. read more

One of my family's favorite spots for Korean tofu soup. This place gets packed, especially during weekend dinners, so plan accordingly. Service is just okay, but we're in the 626 -- expectations are different here. What really keeps us coming back is how good all of the banchans are. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful every time. I usually order the bulgogi combo or the spicy pork combo, and both are consistently delicious. The only thing missing for me is purple rice, which is always a nice bonus when a Korean spot offers it. Have been coming here consistently for many years and every time, it seems to get better and better. My husband and I both love this Korean tofu house and it is always an option whenever we are going out to eat. It is one of our favorite restaurants for sure. Compared to other tofu houses, I think A Ri Rang has the best and most delicious banchan spread. My go-to order here is the dumpling tofu soup and bibimbap combo. The combos are a great value. The tofu soup is very tasty and goes great alongside some white rice. The bibimbap here is also quite exceptional, with many ingredients that go into the mixture, but the standout ingredients are definitely the egg and the bulgogi. I love every part of the bibimbap. Even the vegetables are flavorful. The portion is huge as well. Staff here are always pleasant and quick. We both ordered the lunch combination, which included a main dish and a tofu soup. I ordered the C1 Galbi Tofu Combination ($33.99) with the Seafood Tofu Soup. The staff kindly asked if I wanted an egg added, and instead of giving it to me, they added it to the soup. The Seafood Tofu Soup was pretty good, with a nice amount of tofu, clams, and shrimp. The Galbi was better than expected; the meat was tender, not overly sweet, and cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the C8 Dolsot Bibimbap Tofu Combination ($26.99) and chose the dumpling tofu soup, which the staff recommended as a popular choice. We thought the dumpling tofu soup, filled with vegetables, was only okay. I didn't try the Bibimbap, but my wife said it was pretty good. A Ri Rang Tofu House is a solid option for Korean food in SGV, but if you're seeking a more authentic experience, I recommend making the drive to K-Town, as there are better tofu houses there. Our party of 12 was sat down fast on a Monday night. There seem to be a good amount of people in the restaurant. Was surprised that their restroom was very clean and modernize like if it was just remodeled. It was unisex. I did give it four stars because I ordered the kimchi and beef tofu soup which was good but not like great. There wasn't enough meat and it was a regular tofu soup. The food is good, but it's about the same as any other place. Nothing special. Service was good as well. A Ri Rang has been one of my staples when it comes to Korean tofu houses. From years of dining here, they've always been consistent. Side dishes are plentiful and are refilled for free when requested. Standout side dish is most definitely the fish cake, but recently, the seasoned cucumber is certainly a dark horse with the sweet flavoring. You can't really go wrong with any menu choice. While this is a tofu house, I highly recommend the galbitang (beef short rib soup) and the seafood pancake. My go to menu here is the C7 combo, (tofu soup of your choice + bibimbap) You can share this combo with another person as it's very fulfilling (mostly because of the side dishes crave). Nonetheless, the amount of assorted ingredients added into the bibimbap is phenomenal. It's spectacular with how many flavors you can get from such a detailed dish. While I'm not a fan of spicy food, my wife likes the tofu soup a bit mild, which is quite perfect in my opinion as it's a perfect balance between spice (very little) and the flavoring of the soup broth. Interior is clean and spacious, very much a comfortable vibe when dining in. Parking is free, moderate amount on ground level but plenty in a underground lot. A Ri Rang is always one of my top choices whenever I'm craving Korean food and they've never disappoint. Love the consistency of the food, very high quality and affordable. 12/17/25 Wednesday Came late in the evening for dinner with a party of 6. I decided to try out the galbi tang. Portion sizes were huge, but taste is average. I didn't have high expectations since they specialize in tofu soup, not galbi tang. Food came out pretty quick despite the variety of foods we ordered (tteobokki, galbi tang, tofu soup, kimchi fried rice). The side dishes are consistent and still delicious and filling. I've been coming to A Ri Rang with my family for more than 2 years now. It always hits the spot! First of all, service is wonderful. The workers here know how to hustle and are always a step ahead with refills of waters, side dishes, or additional utensils and plates. Love that they aren't stingy about the side dishes like other restaurants. My go to is the Seafood Tofu Soup Mild & Galbi Combo. It's around $35 but the portion can feed 2 people. It comes with stone pot rice, which I LOVE because there's crispy rice at the bottom. My soup came out piping hot and had lots of seafood flavor in it. Generous amounts of clam and shrimp, too! Egg is included within the soup. The galbi is well marinated with a subtle sweetness to it. What I love about this place is that the portion size is so worth it. I know a lot of Korean restaurants that will purposely serve a smaller portion of the soondubu when people order combos. Not this place! They will give you the original sized tofu soup which is why the combo is so worth it! I've also tried their japchae before which was extremely flavorful and savory while not tasting too heavy. Free parking underground in the plaza. It gets busy during lunch and dinner times and wait times can be crazy. I'd recommend arriving earlier to claim a table if you are visiting with a big group. If you're really craving tofu soup and don't want to leave SGV, this might be your best bet... but there's so much better out there. Spice level is VERY mild here. I ordered a spicy and while it does look red in the picture... it's a mild at best. The oil is definitely there but the spice/chili flavor isn't. Beef tofu soup (spicy)-- Spice level was really mild which was disappointing for me, good portion of beef and tofu, broth was sort of bland!! It tasted like it was diluted with lots of water. Not bland enough to be pure water, like I'm sure there's dashi/broth/soup base in there, but it was really watery and just not super flavorful. Bulgogi-- No complaints! Pretty good, surprisingly not super sugary sweet like some other places. Banchan-- This is where you know the place isn't authentic because the banchan was not banchan-ing. Kimchi was bland, cucumber was RAW mixed in sweet sauce (not pickled at all), bean sprouts also bland and not the typical soy sauce/sesame oil flavoring you think of (idk what they used but I didn't like it). Broccoli was fine. The fact that take out orders get banchan /is/ nice and generous of them. Portion size is good too. The flavor profile just wasn't there for me. read more

Came here with some relative after the mall, place was packed so had to wait which was fine 20-25mins wait time. Tea was provided but refilled was not even though our pot was low. This was one of the highlights of our meal- flavor and variety were on point and portion was extremely generous. We were even able to get refills and they came super quick. Oyster tofu soup (which came as a set with the bulgogi)- stone rice came with boiling hot oyster tofu soup with an egg inside. This was extremely fresh and tofu and oyster portion were very generous as well. Traditional stone rice added a nice touch to the meal as well. Bulgogi- came sizzling hot and very fresh. I've been coming here a few times a year consistently for years so I have an accurate representation of how the restaurant has changed over the years. The food is still very good but the banchan quality has dipped slightly. But the service has become very poor. During my recent visit all the servers were just standing around doing nothing. Since I'm mostly in the Riverside area, I realized when coming back and eating here that I can't easily get tofu stew that arrives boiling hot as it does here. The nostalgia of seeing the same workers and the same customer service of fast and good food and willing to refill your side dishes always just ends your meal with pleasant satisfaction. Whenever I'm craving tofu soup, this restaurant is the first one that comes to mind. The service is excellent, and the food is always super delicious! I also freaking love that jelly soy sauce sidedish( I don't know what it's called but it's BOMB).
