I was very happy with my service. The rate was competitive and that really helped my situation. They came a few minutes early, which was great. They were in communication the whole time. They were very efficient with packing and even provided extra wardrobe boxes for me and helped put some of my last minute items into boxes. They moved everything out relatively quickly (1 bedroom). They worked non stop for about 6.5 hours. They were like machines. I really appreciate how treated my furniture and belongings, making sure to wrap everything and thee strapped all my furniture into the truck. Moving in was harder because of the location of my apartment and the size, so at times, some boxes weren't able to be put in the right room and one shelf was depositors backwards but I was able to fix it. I did have to build one piece of furniture myself but that's okay, it was an abnormal outdoor storage bin and I was able to take it apart and put it together myself easily. If I had asked the would have helped but I was more concerned with time. They moved very quickly and got everything moved in in a good amount of time. They even helped me swap out one piece of furniture for another and take the old piece to the trash. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work. It was much better than my last moving company. Helen was really responsive when requesting a quote and scheduling an appointment. I Scheduled a move for July 24th from 1-2pm. At 130pm I still hadn't heard anything from the movers. I had to call and I was told they wouldn't be available until 4pm. That was difficult becuase it pushed my whole schedule by 2-3hours. But They did get in touch at 3 to let me know they were on the way. Move started at 351 and ended at 730, including a drive to Oakland from Fremont. They worked really quickly and carefully. Didn't not break or damage any of my stuff. The guys were friendly and professional altho they didn't speak much English, that didn't change their ability to get the job done. They did a great job and I would 100% use them again in a move. The move was one of the most affordable I priced in the area. read more

Life savers! Not only did they have the best quote, they provided world class service. I had a couple of hiccups with my move since I work remotely and I couldn't transfer my internet. I had to wait a week. Although, Helen came to my rescue and adjusted the move date to accommodate my schedule, twice! No eye rolls or snarky attitude, no offense, but some customer service reps are doing the most. Aaaaaanyhow, the group of gentlemen that came to move my furniture and boxes were super personable, very respectful and paid special attention to ensure nothing got damaged. Safe and sound! They flaked and canceled me on the morning of our move! I scheduled with Helen. I originally wanted a morning time but she didn't have any morning availability until late in the month. She assured me that a 4-5 pm weekday time slot would not be an issue with timing or traffic and that the time was available. My husband and I rearranged our work schedules to accommodate an evening weekday move. We were all set to go. The morning of the move, the driver, Tony contacted us because his earlier job canceled and wanted to move us to 12 pm. I stated that we were unable to change last minute, and wanted to keep the 4-5 pm slot. He then stated he had another job at 2:30 pm and would no longer be able to come to us at 5 pm. WHAT!!?! You JUST wanted to come to us at noon yet NOW another job popped up 2 and a half hours later so you can't fulfill your original 5 pm time with me!?!? I spoke with Helen again and she confirmed that they would no longer be able to do our job and that I should cancel and find another company to work with. I can't find another company who is available last minute on the same day and now am out additional costs of having to stay in my place longer. Please beware of this company. They do not fulfill promises and are very unprofessional while attempting to sound nice via chat. See chat screenshots of our confirmation and the later ones telling us to cancel. Edit: If the movers were a little bit late, say 30 mins or an hour, would have been ok with it. However they did not (and probably could not) offer me a definite time when they would show up. I read other reviews stating they were 3+ hours late! For a move that potentially takes 4 hours, starting at 8 pm and moving until midnight or 1 am is just not an option when you have an 18 month old baby and this was not supposed to be an issue from the get go. read more

Hailan Movers did an amazing job! I lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex and they somehow managed to get several desks/tables, a king-sized mattress, about a billion heavy bins, and a MASSIVE couch down the stairs and safely to their destination. They even helped us remove the door when it was clear that the couch wouldn't fit (and of course helped put it back on afterwards!). No complaints, very helpful and they are still smiling inspite of my heavy appliances to the 2 nd floor where i live now. Hard workers and very pleasant. I shouldnt let myself stress out 3 months prior moving. They can do everything even packing 85" tvs ref and WD and lots of boxes. I even gave up packing and they finished them for me. Firstly they arrived late which ended up our travel to destination during peak office traffic. Which itself costed us an hour instead of usual 30 min. Their workers are slow like snail. Seems like on purpose. One guy moves just one planter( no plant just soil in pot) at one time. Carries it in his hand. I had to intervene and take the cart which he used for other stuff myself with a baby in one hand to try and make things faster. They wanted to make sure it got them an extra hour. read more

This company literally saved my mother and I during our move. They do not realize it, however. We used Yelp project to get quotes from different moves and the reviews were not great for most companies and the prices were high. Yelp did not include Hailan originally in the project, but I reached out to them separately for a quote because I was not comfortable with the companies Yelp included in the initial estimates. Hailan did not have many reviews, but the few reviews they did have were positive and they were cheaper than other companies, which was a huge bonus. We had a limited budget and limited time. Hailan gave us a great quote. The movers showed up on time and were prepared. They moved quickly but carefully. They were extremely nice and went above and beyond on many occasions. When they arrived, my mother had not packed her room yet, but she is dealing with cancer and we found out right after the move she had fluid build up in her body causing her to lose her breath and be tired, which is why she was unable to pack. They guys did not know any of this, but they saw we were not finished and immediately started helping. They really saved us because my mother would not have been able to finish her room before the move out date and I have back issues and was not much help. They did not complain or make us feel bad about any of this. They simply wanted to help us. They truly saved us in this instance. They made sure we got everything packed up before going. Also, one of my dressers was broken prior to the move, and they tried to repair it for me. It is in better shape than before. Our TV stand is about 10 years old and needs to be replaced but one of the knobs was off. They could have moved it and left it that way, but they made sure to put it back together when we arrived at the new place and they fixed the knob. We also had a storage space for them to move and had them come back a second day for this move. It was stellar service that day as well. I will have to write a second review for that experience because that experience was even better than this one! They move quickly and were mindful of the time. They were also cordial and nice to speak with. I have not had such a great moving experience before in my life. Based on both of my experiences, I would highly recommend Hailan to anyone! We will definitely be booking with this company for our next move! read more

I priced several moving companies for our move from Newark to Antioch and Hailan Movers was the best rate for our needs. They sent 3 movers and they were all very nice and moved and worked quickly. They provided additional help to move out the installed washer and dryer and put ours there. They provided wardrobe boxes for easy movement of our hanging clothes. Best experience with a mover. Hardest workers I have seen: moved fast, packed well and securely, extremely professional with everything. Things I packed terribly they took good care and protected in shipping. Whatever I didn't pack they organized. As for the furniture, they provided everything to move it safely. I have used different mover few times and as of 2021 they were quite expensive. Thought to try someone different and requested yelp quote and got one of the answer from Hailan movers. For me price looked attractive from other movers quotes. I was hesitant originally as there were not much reviews but wanted to try for price offering. The movers came like of 15-20 minutes early than requested time. They had masks on all the time. They were very kind and even the some of heaviest items they moved without any hesitation or ahh reactions. Also, old home was 2nd floor to new home 2nd floor, they never complained anything. I thought they might take longer, my two bed room from 2nd floor to 2nd floor timing took like, 3 hours - to load (75% I had boxed it + they helped to throw some + dismantling bed) 45 mins - to drive to new home 1 hour 30 mins - to unpack They also ensured to put mats in my new home steps and ensured nothing is damaged. Unloading was fast considering it was a 4 floor walk up old San Francisco apartments). Very brutal. They helped me pack, broke down my furniture, bed frame, and moved my plant collection. It was a LONG day. I highly recommend them. Helen, their coordinator is very responsive and answered my million questions. They care about their customers. First of all, this was the ONLY company I found through Yelp that offered a 2-hour minimum (at a great hourly price, to boot), rather than 3 hours. Being that I had a very small and simple job--and I'd planned to be as prepared for the movers as possible--I really appreciated that feature. Basically, I had five significant pieces of antique furniture that I needed to move from my home, from which I was moving, to a storage space about 5 miles north of me. The crew came with a driver and two men who did the prep and moving. The movers were friendly, careful, and efficient. They were confused that I only wanted these particular pieces moved (most of my other furniture would be donated or hauled away as junk), but happily set about getting the task done. All the pieces were treated gently, professionally wrapped in plastic and blankets, secured to the walls of their truck and driven expeditiously to the storage place. They also arranged the pieces so that they took up the least amount of space possible in my storage area, leaving me lots of room for my boxes and other items. AND, they finished easily within the two hours! I'm VERY happy and would heartily recommend them and use them again. read more

Moving is a dreadful task and I hate moving(who likes for that matter?). Our previous move had left a bitter taste. Decided to try the yelp recommendations and requested a quote. - Got around 8-10 quotes and Helen from Hailan Movers was quite responsive. She provided all the details and estimates. Asked for revised estimates and she was patient and quick. - Hailan Movers were not the lowest but not on the expensive side also. The price was slightly over the lowest quotes. However the breakup of cost and expenses were clear - I had scheduled the move 2 week early and Helen stayed in touch by email and reconfirmed on day before moving - Move was for a 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment to single family rambler. - Move was scheduled for Sept 15th 9:00am - Tony and Michael(apologies if I don't recall the names correctly), showed up at 8:55am and started the work at 9:00am - Both came in and surveyed the stuff, planned the packing and moving - We had taken care of packing small stuff so they had to pack and move only big items - Both the movers were quick and efficient. Packed sofa, piano and other stuff nicely in shrink-wrap and covered them with blankets. I was impressed by the care they took to ensure no damages or dirt - Beds were wrapped in a same manner to ensure cleanliness - Loaded everything and got them safely to the destination - Unloading and unwrapping was quick, finished overall work in 4 hours - The only small damage was to my computer desk hutch and I was ok with it since it was old and particleboard is pretty crappy unless it's unassembled - Helen followed up with me immodestly after the move to check Overall, I am pretty pleased with Hailan Movers. Helen, Tony and Michael all were very nice to interact and handled the move very efficiently. I have already recommended them to my friends who were looking for good movers.
