Ben did a great job with my balayage! My hair is notoriously difficult to bleach (something residual from years back makes part of it orange?) but Ben was super patient and meticulous and did a double bleaching process (with less harsh bleach since my hair was already damaged). It took about 7-8 hours for the balayage + cut + styling + photos but Ben never rushed any part of the process and it was weirdly relaxing (I almost fell asleep a few times lol). Ben took his time with me for the initial consult (this was not my first balayage but I wanted a specific look) and he was able to execute my vision based on the inspo pics that I provided. I was visiting NY, and the salon fit me in on the same day. He treated my hair better than I have ever, and addressed every single worry I had about dying my hair for the first time. Color, price, damage, styling, timing--all of this was addressed above my expectations. Jack walked me through every concept photo, explaining how it would work with my skin tone. This level of patience and stellar "bedside manner" was extended to every other part of the appointment. If you are considering dyeing your hair and we have the same hair type/dyeing wishes, this is the only place I would recommend!! Hair Results: My hair type is fine, slightly wavy virgin black hair. I come to Jack for hair cuts and coloring. He always gives me feedback and consultation to ensure I look my best leaving the salon. My hair is fine and straight, and not a lot of hair stylists know how to give a good hair cut to these types of hair to achieve more volume and texture. But, Jack knew how much to trim at the ends and how to cut my hair so there's just enough layers for a short shoulder length cut. I normally get a honey blonde foilayage but went a bit ashier this time to account for extra summer sun exposure. It looks great in natural light and I wanted to show how fine his brush strokes are even with foliage technique.
