Five hours before my appointment, Heather texts me to ask if I can come in with 50-minutes' notice. My first appointment. Who does this? I was shocked and explained that I couldn't do it as I work, which is why my appointment was scheduled outside of work hours. Heather countered with an offer of either a morning appointment or two slots in the middle of the afternoon. These appointments were for the next week. Still in opposition to normal work hours. Are you kidding me? Heather, your inability to professionally time manage is not your new client's problem. It is rude to ask a new client to come in early to suit you. I am early to every service appointment. Always. You should expect that your clients show up on time and have the funds to pay for it. Instead, because I have the audacity to take exception to your unprofessional behavior, you tell me I am entitled. Entitled because I have the expectation that a service provider be able to time manage? Entitled because I can't leave my job to be at your salon within 50 minutes of your text? I'll tell you what I should be entitled to...a $75 cancellation credit from YOU! read more

The first time I went to Heather back in February, our first hour together was just talking about hair care and advice. She made me feel like she truly cared for the health of my hair. Not many hairstylists will do that!! This was one of the main reasons I kept coming back, besides the amazing job she does on my hair ;)) Throughout the entire process, she's been so attentive with what products she uses to ensure my hair is still healthy with the color I choose. I've been going to Heather for my hair since 2018 so absolutely had to follow her when she opened up The Gloss Bar, which is located inside the Salon Republic in Sunnyvale. I trust Heather so much with my hair. I've gotten babylights, balayage, and haircuts with her and always leave feeling so brand new. I'm so glad that she was able to finally open up her own place & in a very nice area as well, it's is an up and coming area so google maps may not take you directly to the area, it is located in the salon republic building that is attached to target (you can park in their garage). Right now because of covid you have to text her to let her know that you are outside the building but if it wasn't then there is a receptionist that can point you in the right direction.
