Julia is by far the best hair colorist I've ever had! When I came to her a few years ago (referred by another hair stylist) , I was in desperate need of color correction. She took the time to understand the color history of my hair to know what should and shouldn't be done in order to achieve the desired color. She got it perfect the first time!! It was a huge relief! ever since then she has made some adjustments to continue getting the color exactly where I want it, based on season and time of year. Past colorists have given me color that has always made my hair brassy in the sun , and I always assumed that's just what my hair does. No, it doesn't! Julia understands what is the lightest color I can go without it turning brassy. I had really high hopes for my experience with Julia, given the great reviews. However my experience with coloring was not what I had requested and ended up damaging my hair. I had a slight ombre on my tips and wanted to go lighter all over. I requested that we stay away from 'zebra stripes' and brassy colors. I ended up with a really dark color all over (including covering up the ombre at my tips) and one single random stripe of brassy lighter hair on one side at the back of my head. And my hair is very very dry and brittle since the treatment. It all looks really bad and I am getting ready to interview. I paid $300 for a haircut, roots and coloring (which ended up looking very bad if it showed up at all). Julia is wonderful but the color just did not work out. read more

I love Julia! She is a guru with hair as her gifted talent! I've been going to her for about 8+ years now (lost count). She knows my hair so well that sometimes when I come in with a picture of a haircut that I want, she'll remind me that my hair does funny things and can't achieve that exact look.
