Location easily accessible in Kapolei Cons- my hair was bleached (to remove any remaining box dye) and dyed over. The final color did NOT look any different than my original hair color and I am very disappointed in the time and money spent on it. There is a very subtle difference in direct sunlight but it's barely noticeable. I can chalk that up to me not choosing to go light enough, fine. I was too disappointed by the end result that I didn't notice that the stylist also dyed the right side of my face (about an inch from my hairline to by cheek wide and about 3 inches down in length) and I received a couple chemical burns from the bleach! I now have a patch of hair dye on my face that I am hoping will fade away soon. I didn't notice this until I got home and pulled my hair back behind my ears since it was styled down when I left the salon (covering it). I've tried desperately to cover it with makeup and pull my hair down to try to cover it. My chemical scalp burns I noticed when I ran my fingers through my hair and felt something hard, crusty, and a bit sensitive to touch. This tracks since it was also the part that I felt a strange sensation during the bleaching and I told the stylist that I felt. The color on the majority of my hair after the bleach (not roots) was a lovely brown that I should had just opted for. Instead I was told the color I chose to dye it would be slightly darker than the bleached color which seemed fine. But when my hair was finally finished, I had to hold back tears of disappointment. Overall, they are very nice and sweet but I am beyond sad and disappointed with the end result. I want to go cry some more.

I easily made an appointment online. She offers great hours, including appointments on Monday (which is typically my only kid-free day). Parking was easy, but the instructions to the studio were key to finding it (it looks like just another condo). Jada was super nice and very thorough. Donna immediately understood exactly what I wanted and got to work. I desperately needed to cover up my grays and get a trim (it had been almost four months since my last salon visit!), and she did an amazing job. I absolutely LOVE my hair! She is also very fast! My previous salon visits at other places felt so long and exhausting. Not here! The salon also has such a nice touch--they offered me water, coffee, and snacks, which was a lifesaver since I had left the house without my morning coffee. A few purchases were Polite Society's DUAL Intentions Eyeshadow Duo. The box claims to be a clean formula. It also claims to be curated to be worn solo or layered create limitless looks. It states that one swipe blends and wears like a dream. I tested that out for myself and couldn't agree more. It just took my ring finger and it blended really well together so I had to take it home with me. I'm also suffering from really dry skin right now and what I think to be an eczema breakout so I found the silicone exfoliating scrubber from the vintage cosmetic company for only three dollars since it was on sale. My friend found an influencer's video that talked about the 3-D volume and Glass in cherry cola and the long lasting dual coloring stick plus liner by the brand Fwee so that went straight to the basket. Last but not least I did also love, polite, societies, mascara in Misbehave. I loved how my lashes looked just by using the plain test tester mascara wands so I look forward to trying it out with the wand itself, but my lashes looked stunning after a couple of swipes. I definitely need another Ulta trip. There was something therapeutic about trying new products and falling in love with new scents and fragrances. This is what I used to do in my teenage years. I've become so simple and so minimalistic in life. I don't even wear makeup anymore. Maybe as I grow older, I'll spend more time taking care of my skin and carrying more about fragrances. We love to smell good over here and I'm a huge fan of Carolina Herrera's Good Girl perfume. I've owned the black heel one and the pink heel one. My next purchase shall be the one with the Jasmine flower on it. I was saddened that there was nobody there to do a facial. The last Ulta I went to in Texas, they did facials for 30 minutes. They didn't have that service here. Also, the mirror areas where they held the Q-tips. The little mascara wants makeup, applicators, and sponges with alcohol and water sprays are such a huge win and great cleanup spot. It made me realize I need to get me a nice sprayer for the days that I want to cleanse my face, but don't exactly want to submerge my whole face in the sink. You just need a really good sprayer! The AC in the salon is pretty bomb. The salon itself is a bit small but enough for you to have personal space. The salon has 5 chairs, 3 shampoo bowl, 2 or 3 dryers and a room for waxing. There's also a couple chairs in front for people to sit and wait. I got the pleasure of having Jazmine service me. She's worked on me before and always did an amazing job. She's very nice and friendly. Parking is available but gets packed real quick due to Jamba Juice, Starbucks, My Cafe, a barbershop and a nail salon being downstairs. Make sure to double check where you're parking because there's signs that say 30 mins or 3 hours limit to park.
