Great haircut Yoonwoo is an artist! She should be running her own salon. She is an expert cutting curly (and somewhat gray!) hair.

No price lists and quotes change consistently. Where is the standard price list for this salon? No way to ask a manager because there is no manager. Was told that she was out and they would text her but she has informed her stylists she will respond within 24 to 48 hours. What kind of salon is this that has a manager who is never there and no price lists. Manager also told the stylists that they cannot show color hair swatches to customers. Apparently customers now suspect manager does not reorder color because she is never there. Pre Covid this was a great salon. During Covid this salon was a little gem. The stylists are all very kind but its obvious some are on the take using the route of non published prices per service to Jack the client. One quote for a cut blowout and color value package is 129 as listed in the computer system yet the stylists are quoting 300 and 270 for cut color and blowdry. Why would anyone pay over 150 for a Hair Cuttery Cut BLowdry and Color? Its Hair Cuttery for Gods sake. It's clear that the stylists have figured out how to hide the price lists from the clients so they can quote higher than actual prices. Buyer Beware. And there is no manager available to complain to because the current manager managing both salons only goes in once a week and is only available by text message to the stylists with a 24 hour return window so if they mess up w the limited hair color product in the back or with a bad job you lose paying high end salon prices that are not even the actual Hair Cuttery Prices in the system and there is no one to complain to, no price list to reference. It's high risk and one can get screwed. read more

Rebecca has been cutting my sons hair since he was 8 he is now 22. He wouldn't trust anyone else with his hair. He has so many cowlicks and is so particular about his hair. She gives great head massages too! Highly recommend! read more

Terrible customer service. One of the barbers was consistently rude to me, and I went to her twice in a 5 year span. She was very passive aggressive and consistently showed irritation at me for not keeping my head still, despite her moving my head. I got irritated and called her out for bad behavior. She admitted she behaved badly and had been doing so for the past several years. Fun fact, I'm more than half her age. Although they give good hair cuts and are very close to my house, they have lost my family's business forever simply because they mistreated their customer. read more

0/5. So, about two months ago I got a haircut at this place. The haircut was so choppy and disgusting. I have straight, thick hair. I do not have problematic hair at all. I am not sure why this lady who doesn't know how to cut thick hair chose to straight up cut my hair without knowing how to. She used the "straight out" method and cut my hair the way she would cut someone's hair that is thin instead of thick. I had to come back to this same place because I wanted them to fix it. Upon getting there, there were two ladies, one with glasses and brown hair and one with blonde hair who seemed to be rushing me. They noticed that my haircut was really bad and we're making faces at each other. Then, the lady with glasses who is the lead or something there said that "everyone has bad days and we will not be mad at her because she is still learning. We teach people how to cut hair better here." Like, if I was used as a Guinea pig then tell me that before you botch my hair up and give me a credit toward my next haircut. This isn't professional at all, and this isn't hair school. Also, the lady who messed up my hair from the beginning rushed me when I got there as well saying she had to leave soon. I told her to her face, "please don't rush my hair cut as I want it to look nice". She said she had to leave at 5 pm. NEVER AGAIN. I went to hair cuttery in Owen Brown and Parneet told me that no hair cuttery should still be teaching someone how to cut hair if they're employed there already. I got a very nice hair cut from her. She cut my hair dry and said the previous people put too many layers in my hair and that I don't even need any. I even tipped the lady at river hill hair cuttery who botched my hair because I didn't see how bad the cut was until it dried up the next few days. Why didn't I ask for a refund or credit back then? Because it wasn't offered to me and they already gave me an attitude for coming in to get it fixed in the first place. I also didn't want to go back there for yet another fix because I wanted to grow my hair out. Parneet has my back and another lady was waiting to get her hair fixed today as well. She said she went to river hill and her hair was also botched. I am not asking for a refund, but if I could have a credit for this horrible experience, that would be great. read more

I am writing this review solely on the nasty customer service at this hair cuttery. I walked in and asked about pricing for a shampoo + blowout and they began to scold me about the length of my hair and talk in a very disgusting tone. They told me that my hair wouldn't only require a blowout but "straightening" as well with "my kind of hair" The women gave me an astronomical quote for a simple blowout and I asked them why it was so expensive and that I had done it at other salons for much less. They proceeded to tell me to go back to those salons since I didn't like that price. I have never seen such rude staff in my life. The sad part is, I would have been willing to just pay if it wasn't for the fact that they were so nasty. I will never be going to another hair cuttery again - as this is not the first time. read more

Lauren did an AWESOME job. I have VERY THICK NATURAL HAIR plus I have A LOT of hair. I usually go to Dimician salons. She did a great job flat ironing it. Walked in for a women's haircut today and the staff was very friendly. Had to wait because others had booked appointments, but I was still serviced within 30 minutes despite a busy Saturday afternoon. Prices are super affordable and Sang was super helpful and kind during the service. I'm very content with the haircut I got and I will return again when I need another. read more

I am so delighted! I have lived in the area 35 years and have had a terrible time getting a good basic haircut. I have found people who are pretty good and have stayed with them for sometimes years. However, I usually never quite got what I wanted. Or, when I did find someone they moved away or started trying to take care of too many people at the same time and I got disgusted. And, I went to a lot of expensive places that charged $60 to $100 for a haircut. It got so that in my search for a perfect haircut I would pay anything. I had to go to the nearby Giant and thought I might just take a look into the Hair Cuttery to see if they were busy. I was desperate. They weren't at all busy so I walked in and asked for a haircut like one of the stylists has. That's exactly what I got. Just great! I paid $23 which included the blow dry. The four stylists who were there all looked mature enough to have had lots of practice. Next time I go I will go for color. I hope I will leave just as happy. read more

Don't go to this location if you want someone to care about your opinions about your own hair or your satisfaction as a customer. I am a woman with short hair - which means that there is a lot of room for someone to screw up my haircut. I have to be very specific about what I want because I'm the one who has to live with the cut after I leave - and at this location, not only did they talk me out of what I knew I wanted, they cut my hair poorly too. It looks so awful that I'm going to go to some other place to get a haircut so that they can fix this mess. I could have lived with a bad cut, but the fact that they rushed me out to get to someone else has ruined them for me. The message they sent to me was that I'm not important enough to them for them to listen to what I wanted or make sure I was happy with the way my own hair will look for the next two months. Sang cut my hair and it was uneven and un-angled around my face. so i went back so she could fix it. and the back that was uneven too. bad idea. she started cutting all over again and left me with shorter hair, no more even, all types of random pieces of different lengths. i had an extreme meltdown over this. just trying to save someone else from the same! read more
