I went in on Sunday (Aug 31st) I wanted a trim + my bangs cut shorter. This blonde lady butchered my hair. It was so short and uneven. I had her fix it before I left the chair even though she tried to argue saying "when I cross checked it, it seemed even" I said I'm literally looking at it and my head seems lopsided. She "fixed it. I left and looked in my car mirror and immediately went back because it looked even worse. Some other lady "fixed" it but it still looks absolutely terrible. It's so short and still uneven. I used a groupon and was a great deal! The process of booking on Groupon.com and being billed after the appointment was sweet and easy. The lady that I ended up with did a decent job but she styled my hair big In front but I wanted more softer curls. I already have a natural volume since my hair is naturally curly. It looked fine after a few hours because my big hair fell some and I just took a flat iron and fixed it the way I like it to look not the big Texas hair. Haha. This is a very armature salon. One of the girls I question if she had any professional hair schooling at all... HUGE lack of communication when it came to lightening my hair. I explained numerous times that I was perfectly okay with highlights to lighten it up, but Erica ensured me she could get it to where I wanted to be. After bleach rinsing my hair she tells me I'll need 2-3 more appointment. NEVER discussed this with me before hand. I fully expected my hair to be the color that I wanted when I wanted out that day. Instead I left with 5 different shades or RED. I event straight to Sally's and bought dark dye to dye over that night. I've been going to Chanelle for 4 years. She made a huge mistake during my routine touch up (I'm guessing is partially due to extremely poor lighting) which resulted in damaged, orange, black and striped hair. She walked out of my appointment without a word to me and left me with another stylist. My appt was at noon and I got home at 9:40pm. After a lot of back and forth I agreed to return the following weekend to correct her mistake. That was where I went wrong. I thought I was going in for a color correction and what I left with was black hair, no dimension and more damage. I was told there was nothing she could do to fix it & suggested I go elsewhere. She also said she gave me $300 in free services & product - which I didn't ask for& didn't want and wouldn't have needed if she would've done it right the first place. I got shampoo & conditioner and a small bottle of some sort of hair treatment. I don't think that was $300 worth but to talk to me as if she was doing me some sort of favor. As a business owner you need to see your mistakes through. Not drop a client who is upset over something that you did to their hair. She promised me fresh ideas & a day to fix and what I got was a quick dye job cover up & a horrific ending. I ended up going to another salon where I paid to have it fixed. Amazing what a little balayage, good product and time can do. The stylist took her time & made me presentable again. That's ALL I asked No5 to do and they couldn't deliver. My hair is damaged I've lost over 8" around my crown. Over 30 hours of time & hundreds of dollars that it's going to take me to fix this & a good year of working at making my hair healthy again. I would rate this place 0 stars if possible! WORST HAIR EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!! The first picture is how my hair turned out the and the next is what I wanted. Got my hair done with Amy and told her I wanted a very light blonde shade, and I also told her that my hair has been that light before. Never once did she tell me it wasn't possible or she didn't feel that she wouldn't be able to deliver this color to me. My hair was already blonde when I went in for my appointment. While doing my hair Amy took another client and had another stylist "babysit" me because my stylist took on too much and couldn't watch my hair properly. My hair turned out bright yellow and was not at all the shade I was wanting and I made sure to let her know and she blamed my hair for it instead of offering to fix it. I called the owner of the salon and asked what could be done and all she offered me was to come back and get "hooked up extras" in her words exactly instead of offering to fix her stylists mistake. I left my appointment in tears and did not want to leave my house after paying 170$+ to get my hair done. Worst Salon ever please save your money and don't go here ever! read more

Wow! This place is amazing! It looks quite sleek and cutting edge , and the color area just begs you to add some fun to your hair! Chanelle has been able to figure out how to make me and my hair look great for my age, without being overdone! I want stylish, but not trendy. Seriously I've had better experiences at FANTASTIC SAMS. I walked in a week ago asking for a haircut and style because I found them on Facebook and I was hoping it'd be quick. I was greeted instantly and sat down right away by who I assume was Chanelle(the owner maybe?). She was super nice, no complaints about her. I believe the lady doing my haircut was Erica. First thing she does is put the cape on and smacks me in the face. Doesn't say sorry or even acknowledge she did it. Other than that she was fine not super talkative but whatever neither am I. We go to the bowl and she has to physically pull the recliner up which, awkward her face is basically in my lap. She starts washing my hair but I feel no product and she's definitely not getting to my scalp. There's no nice head massage, hardly any product, and my hair was definitely not clean. I didn't say anything because I figured maybe it was just a new product I wasn't used to. We get to her chair and she cuts my hair wet--not a problem if you're going to Fantastic Sams but I have never had a nice salon cut my hair wet they always dry it first to be able to actually see what needs to be cut. I ask for just a straight trim all the way across (no layers) so she cuts about an inch off one side and two off the other. My hair is so obviously crooked I have to say something so I do, and she cuts about half an inch of the longer side--still not even but less noticeable when wet. She pulls out her blow dryer and gives me the roughest dry with her hands--no brush no product nothing. I had asked her for big curls/waves at the beginning of the appointment and she pulls out a flat iron. If y'all use a flat iron to curl your hair at home props to you but I don't and I expected a curling iron at a salon so I asked for one. She had to search the entire salon to find one--literally opening the drawers at the other spaces to find one. She pulls out the smallest barrel and goes to work--again NO PRODUCT. At this point I'm stunned into silence at the entire experience, what kind of hair stylist uses hot tools without any kind of product. I get ringlets instead of waves but I just need to leave at this point. She gives me a discount for some reason and after an hour and a half for something that should take 45 minutes max I went home to wash my own hair and re curl it. Today is the first day I've had it straight and thank goodness because this is the worst haircut I have ever received. I should have gone anywhere else or even cut it myself. So disappointed and now I have to spend another $40 to get it redone way shorter than I wanted. read more

I had the pleasure of seeing Noelle, and she really listened to what I wanted done with my hair. As a brunette, I wanted to add some blonde to my hair, and Noelle took the time to figure out what shade of blonde would be best for me. I recently made a switch after three years with an amazing hair dresser. I made the switch for a couple different reasons but mostly because Chanelle came highly recommended. After researching her on social media I thought she would be perfect as she keeps up with the current trends etc. not only has she colored my hair a few times now I also had her do a Brazilian blowout on my hair. It was just before a week long trip to Cabo and the last thing I wanted was the frizzes in my pictures. She explained the care of the Brazilian and recommended the proper product to extend the lifespan of the treatment. I have had a Brazilian blowout before, but I think Chanelle's method was more on point and suggestions for after care have allowed my hair to withstand the treatment. My hair is typically darker brown but I currently wear an ombré effect that I'm REALLY happy with. My role as a business owner and "wearer" of many hats as well as a wife to a husband that I want to look good for I would say hair is a vital key to first impressions and feeling good about yourself. Particularly as we grow older it is important to ensure we have people that know hair and take the advice that sometimes is not what we want to hear (like not cutting it short or coloring it red etc).
