Sadly, after a few years, it's time for me to move on to another place. The only way to get an appointment or any info is to call (no website or text available). However, the last few calls, I can only say a sentence before the stylist abruptly hangs up. For example: "Hello, do you have any coloring appointments available ?" "Sorry, no, I work by myself" *hangs up* A few months later: "Hello, do you have a hair cutting appointment this week?" "Sorry, no, we're completely booked. I work by myself" *hangs up* No opportunity to ask for other availabilities or anything (I'm pretty flexible with my schedule but based on my interactions, I have not been able to inquire about alternative times). This has happened at least 4 times so it's a miracle if you can get an appointment before getting hung up on. Also, before, the weekends were walk ins only but once I walked in, and was told to set up an appointment... When I do have an appointment, there's also no confirmation asked either before my session starts. I understand the hair stylist works on her own, but I've been to many small business salons with only 1 stylist and never had this many issues with setting up appointments or feel like the stylist is trying to get me off the phone as soon as possible so she can continue working on current customer (from the times I was able to cut my hair here, this seems to be the case!) read more

Grace is so sweet and cut layers for me beautifully to fit the shape of my face and features. So grateful that she took the time to explain why shes cutting things a certain way even though I fully trusted whatever she did. Also very reasonably priced for the amount of effort and time she puts into your hair, depending on length and style but she also shampoos and blow drys for around $45-50+ for a women's cut and very skilled with Asian hair in particular but has over a decade of experience with all types of hair. Grace was lovely enough to fix it for me, and I told her I would trust whatever she did. And my hair came out amazingly! She truly knows asian hair. She understood my difficult coarse stiff Asian which is a god send since I really hate haircuts and it's so hard to find someone who understands this & actually knows how to cut it! Wow! So the last person who cut my hair was my husband. This was back in March or April, everything was shut down, and we were sure we were all gonna die. I really needed a haircut then, and things have not improved. This is how nice Grace is: she said my Mister did a nice job! "Very straight!" Grace just gave me a pretty much perfect haircut. Walked in for a hair cut, asked for a U- shaped trim. My hair looks PIXELED! I showed a picture of a naturally layered cut, grace said she can accommodate and do it the way I want to. My hair is not layered properly but instead I have uneven lengths on my left and right side. Do not get layers here if you are looking for that look. I paid $30 not including tip because I cut off 3 inches (I had long hair) -- I thought long hair started at $25... I guess for Seattle, the price is cheap but I do not recommend this place as I will have to get another hair cut later. I felt bad asking for a re-cut so I wasn't able to do it (and I am not sure if I even want to get my hair fixed here), but I will have to go to a different salon to get a trim now. Trying to save money on hair isn't the best idea when you have to get another haircut within 7 days because you are so unhappy with the cheap haircut. Keep that in mind read more

This is a relatively new[er] shop for the industry (as Grace put it). I walked in during lunch and it was steady. After a few minutes, it was my turn. Grace did a great job with the haircut, but I felt it was slightly too fast/rushed - the shampoo was even shorter than I'm used to. The other gal working seemed less experienced (she asked Grace how to do something). I think I'll be back sometime; she did make me feel somewhat rushed at times but I did sense that pleasant and friendly personality. I'd note that for next time, go slower. Street parking nearby is quite easy. The immediate area ain't too bad either considering that it's Pioneer Square. There's really only 1 barber, but she's really nice and will take care of you. She knows her stuff; enjoys cutting hair and talking to her clients. She speaks good English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taishanese, and even a teensy bit of Spanish. read more
