Fast casual spot for a shawarma! I got the chicken shawarma with fries and it was all made fresh.

I rode my bike to drop off mail at the post office and this place was nearby. For lunch, it's a casual fast food Mediterranean style cuisine. They have a drive/thru. Limited seating. Kinda expensive for fastfood fare. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma for to-go. It was a long wait, but worth it. So delicious. Full of flavor. It made my top three best all-time chicken shawarma.

After presenting at UNLV with a few other professionals on a Friday evening from 5:00 P.M to 7:30 P.M, I was ready to get some food! Originally, my husband and I had planned on visiting Shang Artisan Noodle, however, it was about a 45 minute wait. Looking at restaurants in the area, we saw Halal House pop up on our Yelp Search. We decided to go to Halal House for a late dinner! We had arrived around Halal House at 8:30 P.M. It's right next to the Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet off of the 95/Decatur exit. There was plenty of parking spots available. As soon as we walk inside the restaurant, ever single table was in use! We were excited since if it was so busy, the food must be amazing! With such glowing reviews, and how popular it was during a Friday evening at 8:30 p.m., we were so excited to try out the food! The Halal House uses fresh ingredients an bold seasonings! Their menu has a variety of options such as the following Platters: (served with saffron veggie rice and one skewer) -Grilled Kafta Beef -Grilled Chicken Kabab -Beef Steak Brochette Make Your Own Plate! -Pick your base (Rice/Salad) -Pick your protein (Chicken, Kafta, Gyro, Falafel) -Top if off (Pita bread, hummus, Tzatziki) -Pick a Sauce (Halal House Sauce, Tahini, Green Sauce) Bocadillo Moroccan Sandwich Combos Starters and Sides (Chicken Wings, Fries, Fried Eggplant, Samosas and more) Soups & Salads (Harira Soup, Lentil Soup, Greek Fiesta Salad) It was difficult to choose from all of the amazing options. I ended up making my own plate which included Chicken, Saffron Rice, Pita, and Hummus. No Sauce. My husband also had the same except with the Halal House Sauce, and Kafta. Since it was super busy, we did end up waiting about 40 minutes for our order. The wait was totally worth it though! The food was amazing. The chicken was super tender. The hummus and pita bread was scrumptious! The saffron veggie rice was delicious! Mixing the chicken and the saffron veggie rice highlighted all of the flavors! This place has some of the most authentic and fresh Moroccan and Mediterranean food in Vegas! Everything was made from sctach. It was fresh, and flavorful! Next time I stop by here, I'll have to try out the Bocadillo Moroccan Sandwich!

Made a trip to try this restaurant out. Food was great. Chicken kabab sandwich and the lamb shank were epic. Lamb shank fell off the bone and the jasmine rice was seasoned just right. Nonetheless, I am likely not returning. Not for lack of taste, but rather the owner everybody raved about, just seemed to be having a rough day and I don't want to travel 20 minutes to just have a weird experience. I thought everything was going to be relatively normal, as we waited for a customer to pay their bill. Owner welcomed us. I started placing order...and THEN he just walked away towards the kitchen to take a moment and YELL at the kitchen staff. No notice. No explanation. Just turned and walked thru the kitchen doors. He was clearly mad at the world (not me, although maybe he is if he reads this review). He returned 30 seconds lter, and picked up asking us what menu items we desired. Just weirdest service experience in awhile. Love the food, just not the vibe. Hope others have the friendly experience with the owner that other Yelpers are commenting about, and my experience was simply a bad "one off" day.

Be sure to check your order before you leave. I ordered extra sauce and pita for two make your own plate entrees. When I arrived home there was no extra sauce or pita. I called the restaurant and received an apology as it was "chefs mistake" and was told to enjoy my meal. The irony. Ambiance is a quaint establishment with minimal seating.

Okay, I have to talk about this place. Halal House Mediterranean in Las Vegas. I stopped by on a whim and honestly, I'm still thinking about it. Let's start with the lamb shank. Hands down, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. I'm not even exaggerating!!! it was so tender I didn't even need a knife. The meat just fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. And don't even get me started on the rice... it was packed with so much flavor I could've eaten a whole bowl of just that and been happy. The place itself is pretty chill, nothing super fancy, but that just made it feel even more like a hidden gem. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming too, which made the whole experience even better. If you're anywhere near Vegas, do yourself a favor and try the lamb shank.

Halal House Med We went for a long hike and were tired and drained from the heat - but one thing sounded really good: mediterranean food. This had the highest reviews and we had to try it. We walked and ordered a lot. The chef/owner stepped out from the back and welcomed us. He was gracious enough to tell us that the arugula had gone bad so he didn't want to use it for the falafel pita wrap and arugula salad. He was extremely friendly and we chatted with him the whole evening. I could see why his food was the best, because he had true passion for cooking. We ordered the following: Hummus: the BEST hummus in Vegas because it was fresh and creamy. All house made. Tzatziki sauce: also fresh made and tasted delicious. Fried eggplant: the BEST fried eggplant because it was extremely flavorful and well seasoned. Falafel pita wrap: the yogurt paired really well as a sauce with the wrap and made the falafels taste even better. Falafel bowl: amazing falafels that were perfectly crispy and not too hard or soggy. Well seasoned. The rice was appetizing, salad tasty, and the sauce amazing. Harira soup: reminded us of Indian dhal so we had no complaints here. After a long talk dinner session and chat with the owner, he let us try the Zesty lemon ginger mint drink and it was a perfect way to end the meal as as it refreshing and made a nice kick to the ginger. Overall, this is the best mediterranean location in Vegas hand down as the food is authentic and the service is excellent.

Delicious spot for fresh, authentic Mediterranean food. - beef kofta Moroccan sandwich: beef was so juicy, the orange sauce was amazing & fries were the perfect crisp - lamb shank plate: my husband thought this was delicious! Large portion & meat was so juicy & had rich flavors - pita bread & hummus Service was friendly & you can tell food was made to order! Will definitely be a regular here!

The best halal spot I've tried in the city so far, and instantly one of my favorite Vegas restaurants in general. Very authentic food served by very friendly people. Lamb shank was ridiculously tender and well-seasoned. Beef kafta sandwich was identical to what I remember from visiting Morocco a few years ago. Everything was so flavorful. Although not on the menu, I definitely recommend asking for their mint tea as well. It comes freshly brewed and generously sweetened in a traditional tea pot, and made me feel like I was back at a riad. Highly, highly recommended.

The chicken shawarma was really good, it had fresh vegetables and the naan bread was warm and tasted freshly baked. The sauce was seasoned and had flavor. Fries were just regular crinkle cuts. The cashier was very polite.

Great food in da House! Halal House is a new business that, per the gentleman whom I assume is the owner, has been open for about 3 months now. I was on the westside today and found this spot on Decatur near Oakey via Yelp, and it's gotten rave reviews so far, so I had to check it out. I saw some interesting beverage options, including a minty Blossom Green Tea and some sort of Zesty Ginger. However, the Mango Lassi ($3.99) seemed safer than the others. It was refreshing, with a light but not too light mango character with enough sweetness and creaminess to offset an intensely flavored food dish, such as what I had. For my lunch, I went with the Merguez Bocadillo ($16.99). I'm pretty sure I've heard of Merguez being a Moroccan specialty, and the bocadillo sandwich style must have spread here from nearby Spain, so this seemed like one of the more authentic options compared to other proteins or the pita options (not that those can't be great too). The sausage was 100% ground beef and freshly/recently made in-house, as the owner proudly boasted to everyone, and it was pretty tasty with harissa and/or other warming spices. The bread wasn't too heavy, the fries added filling without distracting from the merguez, and the spiced mayo was portioned lightly enough. I also ordered a takeout platter, the Lamb Shank ($22.79), for dinner. It's a huge bone-in piece of lamb with a lot of yellow basmati rice. This was definitely a bit more intense, possibly due to a little moisture loss? It's not like it was too dry when I got to it. Definitely try to eat it fresh (perhaps shared with someone), and expect big flavors including warming spices. And in case you're wondering, no white or red sauces were needed. Halal House is a great new restaurant with Moroccan and other Mediterranean food options. No tagine dish is on the menu yet, but I did see at least one of the requisite cooking vessels on premises, so who knows about the future? I'll have to make another trip soon to try more of what they already offer.
