Dakao is a great authentic banh mi place to stop by and grab a sandwich or a few quick bites that they already have premade. There is also plenty of parking available out front. I tried the Banh Mi Dac Biet (always my go to). The sandwich was good, however I think it was a little thin. From previous experiences, my banh mi are generally pretty full, and I would have liked for them to add a little more meat. The pate, however, was delicious and definitely made the sandwich very tasty. I'm glad I got the chance to come try Dakao, I would definitely come back!

Great customer service from this small shop. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious, I've been back a few times already.

I came with two others and we love that it opens at 8 AM!! there were already a group of other people here at 8:30 in the morning so there was a little bit of a wait. I was really glad that I called about 15 minutes before we got here so we could pick up the sandwiches and get going on our day at CES. I REALLY enjoyed the sandwiches!!! I actually feel a little hunger pangs writing this review!! AND... I almost came back the next day except that I knew there are so many great places in Vegas Chinatown to try. But it was that good, that I was tempted to return and eat the same meal again. The bread was fresh, and I have no complaints about it. The filling was abundant and flavorful. I got to try the grilled pork and the house special and both were just spectacular. Great price points. Not exactly a sit down and eat their place even though they had a couple tables, it's mostly a takeout place. They also took credit card. A really solid banh mi place!!! I can see why the other yelpers rated it very highly. It definitely is better than what we have available in the DMV area on the East Coast. Bummed to leave Vegas and the amazing Asian food and In N Out Next time I'm in Vegas, this will definitely be on the place to consider to return!! If anyone is on the fence about coming here please do not hesitate at all. It will not disappoint! Also, the pandan sponge cake here was warm and totally knocked it out of the park!!!! Best one I've tasted so far anywhere!!

Went in at 3pm for some banh mi and they out of banh mi like???? Went for the banh cuon instead cuz i was starving. It was $10 for this, quality is just ok for the price, barely any meat in between the rice sheets. Feels more like a banh uot with slices of some pork for me. At least the fish sauce was decent. Service was meh :/ Interior is small, more like a togo place. They only got 1 table which i ate at.

Although my sandwiches were just average, I really liked some of their other items 4 stars Banh day - Perfect chewy texture of dough to go with the cha chien Banh gio - Softer than others I've had, so it falls apart easily, but it is good if you eat in the mornings when they are freshly made Cha chien - always love me some of this 3 stars Banh mi dac biet Banh mi thit heo nuong Nem chua

Authentic vietnamese banh mi sandwiches with amazing bread! Try the number one special for sure and their freshly made spring rolls. Dakao Sandwiches is more of a to go restaurant hence their solo table for waiting. Very minimal decor with a large sign of all their banh mi sandwiches plus coolers with other vietnamese delicacies including drinks and dessert. Make sure to try all their sandwiches!

Best. Banh mi. Ever. If the #3 is available, I would recommend that. It is a pork option and there is a chef that does it all by hand. The meat is so fresh, juicy, flavorful, and well seasoned. I don't think there are any bad picks from the menu! There's one vegan option available. They pack a great portion of the meat in the sandwich. The cashier may be a little short to you sometimes but he means well. There are two tables for dining with chairs, one for two, and one for four. Then there are 2-3 chairs for waiting. This is a great place for a quick bite or a to go order, but not to study/linger too long. The vegetables are also fresh and well-portioned. It's not too different from other Viet sandwich shops I've been to, they are just vegetables after all. Keep in mind they automatically include peppers, so that is a consideration for non spicy diners. I just wish they closed later, so I can come more often haha.

The prices and quality of sandwiches can't be beat. It's a nice mom and pop shop. So a good alternative to chain banh mi sandwiches. I usually get shrimp/pork spring rolls and banh cuon, too. Being cash if you can, I think it's better for smaller places like this. They do accept card, too. The cashiers are always nice and can explain if you're new to this type of Viet food. They have a couple tables if you wanna sit and eat but I order and go.

Right down the street from the "famous" sandwich shop, you'll find Dakao tucked in the corner of a strip mall. This little spot is no frills, but will save some bill$ when compared with others. Made to order, with a revolving door of patrons these sandos are fresh & tasty without fail. Dakao offers fast service, mostly takeout due to interior size. *fresh bread available! *locals favorite.

Easy parking within a shopping plaza We came out early in the morning and it was pretty packed with customers going in and out. Clean ambience packed with tons of food and dessert selections within their showcase and refrigerator. This review is solely based on the Banh Mi sandwich as I have yet to try their full selection of foods Rating 3/5 lots of bread and a little meat and veggies inside. I would go to Saigon Baguette Over this spot strictly for Banh Mi sandwiches

They open at 8am. You better come early because their stuff is gone quickly. The owners are very nice even I don't know a word they say, but just point at the items you want from the display, mission completed. They have probably the best baguette in town, and they are "buy 5 get one free". I love their veggie one and cured pork one. They have really good Vietnamese ham roll which is perfect for noodle soup, stir fry, or just put in sandwiches or salad. They have some very authentic desserts and pastries, too. And of course, the very strong and sweet condensed milk Vietnamese coffee. My favorite here is the dry rice noodle box!! If you want to dine in, they can heat up the noodles or pastry for you.

My favorite banh mi joint in LV! The banh mi is so light and crispy, and the price is just right- pay in cash for discount. Small little place with banh mi and some hot food offerings. The old man at the cashier is so funny, making the experience easy going and quick. Banh mi dac biet and banh mi thit nuong is my go to!! Highly recommended

Turns out she was the owner (Andrea). She was so friendly and helpful and just a delight! Once she seated us she came back and brought us a small cup of some type of cabbage soup to try, which was phenomenal! The menu is ginormous! Like the Cheesecake Factory menu... so much to see it takes a while to narrow things down. Our waitress was a young bubbly lady who was very friendly and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She took time to answer all our questions and just really looked like she liked her job (go figure!). The portion sizes are insane! The food was very hot and very tasty. I struggled to finish mine but once I removed the food from the bun, that seemed to help. Paying the bill was easy as they have the receipts with the QR code that goes right to the Toast app. Unfortunately we didn't save room for dessert but after we were done eating we did go look at all the goodies in the case. Quite a selection and lots of people in line. Kind of glad we live on the other side of town because if we lived closer we'd go broke from eating here more often lol. The reviews and comments on FB were spot on. This place really is great and we look forward to visiting again.

Had the traditional eggs Benedict with potato's one egg was a bit more cooked than the other, but the two of them combined to be just fine. The potatoes were way too burnt. Now, I will say that I ordered breakfast late in the day, so why would they make new potatoes that late in the day. Now, the other hand would say, why are you going to serve anything below my standards? If the potatoes are so burnt, they are hard, black and you cannot find a potato soft enough to stick a fork in it, then that is just neglectful or you do not care. I tend to believe in the good in people, so I am guessing they did not want to disappoint a customer that ordered potatoes by telling them we ran out. Would you like something else instead. I have been in for lunches and salads and soups are above my standards and their challah bread French toast makes wonder how could anyone put up with Texas Toast. Their coffee cake is to die for.

The canned corned beef is 100% better! The sourdough bread was stale and cold when served, the butter wouldn't even melt a little bit. The menu description read with poached eggs so I was surprised when the cashier asked me how I wanted my eggs, so I order my usual, over easy. Well, they came out well done!! No yolk to spread around! I didn't even finish the entree. The bagels and lox were even worse! Two small roll ups of salmon which didn't even cover one bagel. Which I would add of the bagel not worthy of the name! The cashier assured us they serve the most amazing cinnamon rolls that are baked fresh daily. Maybe it was a one off but this one tasted stale. The frosting was super hard, they seemed frozen then microwaved. The staff who bring out drinks were not friendly, not one smile, had to ask for utensils and straws multiple times and this was AFTER we got our meal. For a $70 breakfast, will be hard pass. I have been here several times before for my charcuterie meats and cheeses (not sure why I didn't…read morereview) but my husband and I went there last week while waiting for my kids to finish an activity at UNLV. Everything started out great. They have a kiosk to order when you first enter and we wanted to share a meatball sandwich. The gentleman making the pizza let us know they'd had some issues with orders going through and to check with the person at the cash register to make sure everything processed properly. He looked and said it was good. At that point my husband had seen the sicilian pizza and wanted to see if it was anything similar to his Nana's and asked to add it. The man at the cash register said it would need to be a separate order- no problem- so we paid. We were enjoying the pizza slice while waiting for the sandwich that never came. The guy who was making the pizzas noticed we were still waiting and asked what we had ordered. They said the payment never processed. My husband, rightfully upset at this point, asked what the point was of confirming the order had gone through if they guy wasn't actually confirming it? I finally said I would just pay for the two bottles of water we'd had and go on with our day. The rep offered to still do the sandwich but at this point we had to go get the kids and didn't have time to wait again and then eat. He told the pizza making gentleman (who in my opinion did nothing wrong and was amazing) that this was why he needed to stop telling people and just keep his mouth shut. Ultimately, he was in the wrong. When my husband came to the register to confirm the kiosk order had gone through he should have ACTUALLY confirmed it. The pizza was good, but we won't be back... this is not how you handle customer service situations.
