Grateful for that since I had just come from a meeting that ended late. I got a grilled pork banh mi which was great, the flavor of the pork, the other fillings, and the bread was all excellent. The other thing I got was a wrapped plate of sticky/mochi rice topped with different things. Honestly I'm not sure what it was called or what exactly the toppings were but my best guess is pork floss, sausage (lup Cheong), and something else which I'm not sure what it was but it tasted very good. The man who took my order was nice and I got my food quick. They take cash and card. They have lots of things in the case which all looked good, even though I'm not sure what they all are. We drove the 20ish minutes here and then struggled to find parking on a Saturday night. Yayyy. All good though. This place is very quiet and no frills. They serve Banh Mi's off the regular menu. That's it. But they sell extra appetizers under some heat lamps and cold snacks and drinks in their fridges. Houng was the man at the front who took our order. He answered my questions about the offerings as I'd never been here before. We ordered 3 Banh Mi's to try and an eggroll. I ate the House Special and the Grilled Beef. She had the Grilled Pork and an Eggroll. I thought my sandwiches were just fine and hit the spot. She on the other hand, did not like her pork bahn mi and preferred Lee's version of it. I tried three different sandwiches: the number one house special, the number seven grilled chicken, and the special pho one. All very excellent. The bread is crunchy and delicious. Sometimes the bread is too hard or just sometimes not good. It was not the case here. I also tried the noodle with ground pork and mushroom and fish sauce that was on the counter. Excellent option as well. And their pan dan sponge cake. Everything was really good. It's a no nonsense café with a few tables inside. The person who took our order was very nice. I've passed by this place numerous times and never stopped by. Curiosity won today so I went in l. Smaller spot but clean with sandwiches, soups, and other snacks ready to go. I went with the Banh Mi Ba Chi which is pork belly. Bread was crispy with the pork belly cooked well. The freshness and crunch of the cucumber and jalapeño really upped the Sandwich. The bread had a great crisp without being too crunchy! The veggie banh mi had bamboo shoots, which gave off a meaty texture. When I crave a banh mi sandwich, my go to was always Lee's. They've been synonymous with the Vietnamese sandwich since forever. In fact I like this one better. The bread was nice with crisp flakes and plenty of fluff. While waiting for the sandwiches to come out I noticed this place started getting packed. My new spot to get Banh Mi in Las Vegas! I usually get my sandwiches at Dakao, but saw that they opened this year and couldn't pass up the better deal here of buy 4 get 1 free! I hope they keep that deal. There's plenty of parking in this area and Sunright Tea Studio opened around the corner so you can get boba while you wait for your sandwiches to be prepared. I usually order around three bags and have to wait around 20-30 minutes for them. I think you're able to pre-order them too by calling in(?) The guy at the front is kind and helpful. I noticed Dan Han while playing video games at a business literally around the corner so I made sure to bookmark it and come back with my wife. When walking in, the place was completely empty with several tables for sit down service. There were 2 employees which were friendly, our order was quickly taken. There are several Bahn mi options as well as several soup snd noodle dishes. We opted for the pork pate Bahn mi. Let me tell you, this bread was fresh. Like absurdly fresh! So light and crispy on the outside and doughy and pillowy on the inside. All of the ingredients were layered perfectly making each and every bite perfectly distributed with veggies and meat. A little bit bigger than a 6 inch sandwich for 6 bucks! You can't beat that for some delicious and cheap lunch.
