What a disaster today. I have been to this restaurant for many times. When it was a few months to one year ago, there was not a lot of customers. The service was pretty good. But obviously, when they gain more customers, they are completely unable to handle that. Today is the first day of the year. My family and I went here to try to have a good time. The whole situation is so bad that my mood is shifted between amused and anger. And I am for sure not the only one. I saw a lot of angry customers around me. To be fair, many of the waiters and waitresses here are courteous and polite. The tall, well-built waiter with glasses is very polite, and I often see him running around, doing his best to serve customers. One of the shorter female waitresses, whom I recognize as one of the more experienced employees, is also very courteous. However, the manager--also a male with glasses--was not in a good mood today. Despite many things going wrong, there were no apologies or expressions of regret from him. For example, when the milk tea completely ran out, many customers were understandably upset. Not only was the milk tea unavailable, but all the drinks were out, yet there was no apology from the manager. The word "sorry" seems absent from his vocabulary. In contrast, the other waiters and waitresses were far more apologetic, frequently saying "sorry" and trying to make up for the inconveniences caused. When the restaurant gets busy, most customers understand that the staff is doing their best. In fact, many customers go out of their way to help themselves. I saw one customer refill their own soup pot and others fetching things for themselves. Customers don't seem to mind serving themselves or even dealing with some items being unavailable. What really triggers their frustration is the manager's unapologetic attitude. A simple apology could go a long way in easing tensions and making the situation more bearable. read more

My mom is Muslim, and she was so happy to find a place that offers 100% halal ingredients without compromising on flavor, variety, or fun. It's not easy to find that combination, but this spot delivers. Each person gets their own personalized hotpot, which means no flavor clashes and full control over your meal. The soup bases are incredible--we tried everything from the fiery spicy mala to the rich, comforting original broth. All deeply flavorful and aromatic. The seafood selection is wide and fresh, the beef is high-quality, and the side dishes (like house-made fishballs, noodles, fried rice, and veggies) are clearly made with care. We also devoured the lamb skewers--tender, well-seasoned, and straight from the grill--and the empanadas, which were a delicious surprise. Shoutout to Leo, the manager, who was so welcoming and kind. The whole staff was lovely--they even taught us how to create the perfect shabu dipping sauce (we now consider it an art form!). Their hospitality made the meal feel like dining with friends. For drinks, they offer a special beer-like beverage that's actually non-alcoholic, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also loved the refreshing coconut milk drink, which paired perfectly with the hotpot heat. We come here with our family all the time, and it's always such a great experience. The staff are consistently kind and welcoming, which makes a huge difference. The variety here is honestly one of the best parts. For the actual hot pot, there are great halal meat options like lamb, beef, and chicken. The buffet has so many add-ins too--crab sticks, lobster balls, meatballs, shrimp, tofu, plus tons of veggies like squash, corn, and cabbage. They also have lots of noodle options including ramen, tteokbokki, sweet potato noodles, vermicelli, and more. Our favorite soup base is definitely the tomato, and the make-your-own dipping sauce bar is such a fun touch because everyone can customize exactly how they like it. The ambiance is really nice for families and groups. They have seating options whether you want one big shared hot pot experience or if everyone prefers having their own individual pot, which makes it great for different preferences. What I also love is that even if someone in your group isn't in the mood for hot pot, there are still so many included buffet options like sushi, cold noodles, fried rice, katsu chicken, sesame balls, and spring rolls. Another thing we really appreciate is that they have a prayer room, which is such a thoughtful accommodation and makes it even easier to enjoy your time there comfortably. The sweet carrots and tender lamb are a perfect combo. The pickles are also delicious! * Spicy Chicken: Perfect for summer. Tender chicken with just the right amount of spice, paired with fresh onions and vegetables. * Braised Beef: This dish is huge and incredibly tasty! Ideal for three or more people. I had a terrible experience at Halal Street and ended up leaving without even ordering. We joined the waitlist through Yelp since that option was available, but when we arrived, the staff told us they only take reservations--even though their Yelp page doesn't say that. They still seated us, but then left us waiting for 15-20 minutes with no acknowledgment. We were sat all the way in the back, and despite staff walking past us several times, no one stopped to take our order or even check in. Meanwhile, other customers who came in after us received immediate service. The lack of attention and professionalism was extremely disappointing. It felt like we were completely overlooked, and after waiting so long, we decided to leave. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

The signature pickled fish with pickled cabbage is tender and the pickled cabbage is appetizing. The big basin is very satisfying. The service is also very good. The waiters are always at our beck and call, and they are very friendly. The environment is clean and tidy, and the decoration is simple and generous.
