    A dozen chargrilled
    James N.

I recommend you go to the location a few blocks away. This one inside the casino isn't as good and is also a little bit more expensive. There's a stand alone restaurant nearby which is better. Our server was nice. It was dark and inside a casino. Decor dated. Plenty of free parking at least at the casino. I ordered a dozen chargrilled oysters and they didn't come out sizzling hot like they should have. The oysters themselves were luke warm. Tasted ok but not great. Shortly afterward, I had diarrhea.

@Mrs.Jackson462: Visiting from Georgia, the mister and I dined here 8/29/2026. The Smoked Shrimp and Grits were delicious! Creamy, flavorful, and full of smoky goodness. The Watermelon Basil Martini was refreshing and paired perfectly with my meal. And the sweet pecan brûlée with honey butter was the perfect finishing touch. Everything was absolutely delicious. 10/10!

First time here at Half Shell Oyster House. I must say that I am a picky eater when it comes to seafood, but Half Shell met my expectations. Everything we ordered was so good. We arrived around 7:30 but were seated at 8PM. 30minute wait was not bad since there was a crowd. Pro tip, the restaurant was cold so bring a sweater. Here is what we ordered: Charbroiled Oyster - 100/10, my family loved this. Charbroiled oysters with white wine, butter garlic, herb sauce & parmesan cheese. Fried Crab Claws - I had this sauteed Orleans sauce instead of fried. 10/10 would recommend. Crab Cakes - Large six ounce hand-crafted crab cake made from blue crab meat (import), blended with sautéed vegetables and seasonings. Grilled and topped with blue crab meat (import) ravigotte and Parmesan. My brother said these were the best crab cakes he had! Crab Seafood dip - Crabmeat & Shrimp, melted cheese with some herb & Panko crust. Severed with toasted French bread. Definitely my favorite appetizer. Mahi Savannah - Pecan encrusted mahi over cheddar cheese grits with sauteed gulf shrimp. The star show of our meal - I'm not a fan of grits but everything pair nicely together. We ordered a lot of appetizers and one entrée because we could not decide on just one or two appetizers. We enjoyed all of them and would recommend anyone to try this place out!

Our second time here. Came on a Tuesday so there was no real wait. Otherwise definitely join the waitlist. I had the special Wasabi encrusted Tuna. Delicious. It came with fried green beans that were crispy with the chili sauce, insane! The restaurant is a little dark so the old man had to use his flashlight on his phone. Got a chuckle from the staff as they are used to it. Drinks were good-he had a pecan whisky old fashioned which he sipped on. This is on our must go to list!

Half Shell was the first real restaurant I hit in Biloxi. There are a few locations in the area, but this one is located in the Hard Rock Hotel. My friend who lives in the area and I shared the charbroiled oysters, while I ate the raw oysters. He really liked the charbroiled oysters, and he doesn't like oysters in general. I enjoyed the freshness and brininess of the raw oysters. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my po boy as much. The shrimp were small, there was no mayo or remoulade sauce, and the roll did not stand up to the fillings. On the other hand, my friend really liked his cheeseburger and fries (not pictured). Qi was a good waiter. He was attentive and accommodating. My friend felt he did not receive enuf fries, and Qi was kind enuf to bring my friend more fries at no charge. Regarding the ambiance, its upscale in here. The motif is dark and there is a bar, a sushi bar, and several tables of two & four. I would return to Half Shell, but I would shy away from the po boys. The other food is much better.

While visiting Biloxi recently my friends & I decided to stop in Half Shell to eat. We ordered a few things, all very delicious. The charbroiled oysters and crab beignets were very delicious. The raw oysters were perfect, as was the gumbo. Everything passed the "eat local" test for me. Service was good, we came in midday on a Saturday in November, so it wasn't much of a crowd. We were actually seated immediately. I'd definitely come back here on future visits to Biloxi.

The food was good so for that I would have given a 4 star. However the location is very dated and in need of some tender loving care. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Everything was good. The ambiance was just lacking. I had the seafood pasta and it was top notch. My husband had the seafood platter. Everything was just so so he said except the fried shrimp was better than anything he has tasted. We had tasty drinks and left with full bellies so we were content. Not in a hurry to eat here again. We really wanted to love our dining experience.

This one had good reviews and so We tried it. Honestly I wished I would have came here for my birthday which was the day before! It blows The Den out of the water at Treasure Bay! The vibe is classier, the service was impeccable, and the food was 10x better. We started with some drinks: A Apple caramel martini for my son, a pink pearl martini for me, and a pineapple colada for my hubbie. They were are nice drinks. Next for apps hubbie got an oyster sampler which included oyster Rockefeller, Florentine, and Bienville oysters . He also got a dozen raw . I got fried green tomatoes with crab cakes between them. I enjoyed the tomatoes. The crab cakes were too wet for my liking but it's a personal preference only. The taste was good. For entrees I got a seafood sampler which included fried oysters, hush puppies, fried shrimp, and I think catfish. It was exactly what I was hankering for. We got some boudin balls. They were ok . My son got the brunch burger with an egg! For dessert a cinnamon roll bread pudding for my son and a banana foster cheesecake for my husband and I to share. We went up the stairs there is a bathroom up there. Be careful going down if you have had a few drinks lol. Everyone was friendly. We are so glad We found this place off the main strip . Honestly the prices are comparable to anywhere else . If you are looking for a place quiet or even somewhere special to celebrate a birthday or even an anniversary . This place would be a good choice. I suggest going as soon as they open or early evening. After 5 I bet the place would be getting packed. By the way upstairs it feels like you are in Nola . It just has this vibe. Nothing but good things to say about this place and We are definitely coming back possibly the fall!!

Luckily it wasn't too busy and we were seated within 5 minutes. Hostess was organized and got everyone taken care of quickly. Started with a cocktail and Rockefeller oysters. The crème brûlée mojito tasted like a sweet caramel latte--definitely on the sweeter side. The oysters were delicious (hard to go wrong there). For mains, I devoured the linguine--loved the mushrooms in the sauce, super flavorful. We also shared the Brussels sprouts, which we've had before and loved, but this time they were pretty soggy and overly sauced, with the balsamic a bit overpowering. Shoutout to Maria, our server--she was phenomenal. Super attentive, guest-focused, and genuinely on top of everything without being intrusive. She made sure every table around us was taken care of, checked in at the right times, and even noticed we barely touched the Brussels. After we shared our feedback, she kindly removed them from the bill. Maria is also just effortlessly warm and personable--made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Thank you, Maria! (: Overall, solid service, tasty drinks and food, and a perfect spot for date night.

This was my first visit to Crave, and it's a nice setup with a few different eateries. I went for their "Crabster," a lobster roll with some crab and a special sauce. The lobster was good--definitely a solid portion, though not the most life-changing bite I've ever had. It came with a side of potato chips, which.... eh. Overall, it was a good experience--something fun to try, especially if you haven't had a lobster roll before. The food hall itself didn't completely wow me, but it was a nice spot. The easiest way to find them is to follow their Facebook page for locations, which vary weekly. Salty Jax is most famous for their lobster rolls, because few other places down here even offer such a thing. They are quite expensive (upper $20 range, depending on market price) but for obvious reasons since we don't have lobsters out in the Gulf. I always go with the Cajun roll because it is doused in garlic butter for a wonderful kick of flavor. They recently advertised that you can now get lump crab meat added to your roll, and I can't wait to try it! You can also get extra lobster meat so you get a stacked lump of seafood. Be sure to grab some extra napkins because you'll need it. I've been to Maine twice and had plenty of lobster rolls up there, and Salty Jax can hang with the best of them. They give you a roll stuffed with meat and it is quite filling. The owners are local and super friendly, and I don't mind paying for this gourmet premium because of that. If lobster isn't your thing, I highly recommend their fried shrimp basket when they have it on the menu. It's some of the best fried shrimp I have had, and they are plump and crispy. I'd love to see them eventually open a full blown restaurant one day.
