The food was amazing. Half Shell has become my moms favorite place to get fried shrimp! The maple bourbon salmon was AMAZING! And the chicken Alfredo pad was delicious! For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was just ok....nothing to write home about! May have been better if it was warm and had a scoop of ice cream. But the sauce on it was delicious. We were told the wait time would be an hour. It was 6:30 when we put our name down. we ended up waiting TWO hours and when we asked about it we were told twice it would be "10 more minutes". After 2 hours we just had to leave in order to feed our toddler before 9pm. Some people waited 10 minutes, others waited 1.5 hours. It was just a hot mess with who would get seated and when. Today, my family and I received text to be seated around 4:26pm. We received no service or welcome until 15-20 minutes after being seated. My brother in law ordered oysters appetizer. Those were dropped off at table, then we continued to wait and wait... now it's been more than an hour since we sat and we're still waiting on entree's. I received my salad and cup of gumbo, even though I ordered a bowl of gumbo. My family still continued to wait. We're approaching almost 2 hours at this point. I didn't realize Dinah, the waitress, added my brother in law's appetizer on to my ticket until after I paid. I spoke with same manger as we were leaving. I expressed that I hardly complain as I have been a server, but this was absolutely horrible service. He says that the whole restaurant experienced poor service but that's not true. We watched as tables of ppl came in after us and received their food timely and with great service. These tables also left before us. We received nothing to "right" the situation and barely received an apology. The manager told me he would go back in the system and reimburse for the oysters I paid for that were not mine and email me. How was he going to email me? Charbroiled Oysters - Delicious on par with New Orleans ACME and Felix Royal Reds - Amazing, a must try if you haven't; half pound Starter could be a meal. Big Easy Surf and Turf - Ordered medium rare filet and came out rare; still tender and delicious; small crab cake and pieces of lump crab meat made a fine trio. Sides: Jalapeno Huspuppies were quality with just a little kick; Sweet Potato Creme Brulee is so good you'll wonder why everyone doesn't make them this way. Coco runner tastes like a delicious Pina Colada from Cancun. Strange things: - Manager refused to change television from State game to Ole Miss game which might be a pro or con depending on who you cheer for but I thought the customer was always right. - Manager didn't do a table stop so we couldn't tell him that. - The back room seemed to be a bit more ethnic then the front of the house but this could have been just a fluke in how tables were sat. read more

Great food. My wife and I ordered seafood pasta and blackened redfish. The food was prepared excellent. For starters we had a bowl of gumbo and oysters sampler - perfect. The sampler was really great. We will definitely be back! The service was good, but not perfect. Very friendly staff and professional. I had a great lunch experience on my first trip. I sat at the bar, solo on a busy Friday. First come seating was tight but fine. I ordered a nice Mississippi micro brew, Royal Reds and Parmesan new potatoes off the lunch menu. The Reds were steamed just right and the potatoes were perfect. My service was great. I just had lunch at the new location in Flowood, MS. This is as good as their locations on the coast. The service was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The staff has good knowledge of all dishes on the menu. I would recommend you do an oyster sampler plate if you have not eaten her before. You get three oysters of each of the following: Charbroiled, Oyster Orleans, Bienville, and Rockefeller. Eh, thats what i got when i visited this place. The service was good but the food was mediocre at best. We tried the shrimp with voodoo sauce and comeback sauce on the side. Nothing spectacular, just fried shrimp with with sauce on the side no seasoning, nothing. I had the dozen oyster bienville along with a cup of bisque, my mom had the fried shrimp with the new potatoes and a salad. The bisque was okay again no seasoning. It did have a good amount of shrimp and crab in it. The oysters had more breading then anything else. They came out luke warm and did not taste of chargrill. My mom shrimp were fried perfectly but the potatoes were again not seasoned. I got the breading pudding to go and all i can say is long blank stare. The sauce was sweet but i did not taste anything that resembled a cinimion in the cinimion bread pudding. I will save you all 70$ and go try another place because it just wasnt that good. read more

If your specialty is oysters, own it. In this case, they were so small that our server offered to bring us a few more without us having to ask. My tuna was overcooked, but the second time around it was cooked perfectly! Steak was also made very well. Side dishes were all very greasy, too heavy or too salty so we barely touched our sides.
