Melissa was really nice , the server was extremely accommodating as well. I'd give 5 stars for the service! The food is where it started lacking. The sisig feels like it's not seasoned enough, it was good but I've had better. The calamari's coating was interesting, it kinda made the batter soggy not crispy. The drinks were super cool we had ube margarita and calamansi mojito

Come here if you want to feel like family and if you want to know what it's like to be in a Filipino house! So welcoming, so friendly, and just so warm and inviting. And the food matched the vibe...such good Filipino food! Big portions and just scrumptious and flavorful!! Our first time eating lumpia as a lettuce wrap with cotija cheese...like what?!! Sooooo good! This place was such a great representation of Filipino culture. We were visiting from Seattle, but would definitely come back here when we come back up to Vancouver.

A little foodie adventure from mid week for a little birthday meal for a friend. Never knew about this place prior to her mentioning it, as a lover of filipino food i was ecstatic and had hungry eyes. I would say the menu had a decent variety, prices were a bit higher compared to some other restaurants i've been to. The service is exceptional though. Super friendly, knowledgable, accommodating .. Super attentive!! The restaurant takes resos online and it was pretty easy to make, a lot of street paid parking available and some free maybe 2 blocks away etc. The chicken wings had a nice flavour but inside it was a tad undercooked but i just ate around it and took the rest home and cooked it a little longer no biggie. The sisig wasn't all that crispy as i was expecting it but still good. The spring rolls are a must try!!! They were super sweet and brought out a ube dessert since it was my friends bday the following day. The ambiance was super relaxing inside, big and spacious. Not even loud but then again there was maybe only 1 other table eating at that time ... the restaurant is still pretty new i'd say. I'll definitely return to try more items .

We visited Halina Restaurant for breakfast and ordered a selection of classic Filipino favourites: silogs, chicken inasal, Filipino-style scrambled eggs, and ube cassava cake for dessert. The silog meal called "three stars and a sun "was hearty and comforting, especially for including "sabaw," or soup, a common addition to meals in the Philippines. I liked that the portions of garlic rice, eggs, and well-seasoned bangus and tapa were generous. The Filipino-style scrambled eggs were soft, fluffy, and flavorful--simple but done right, perfect with rice and toasted pandesal. The chicken inasal stood out with its smoky aroma and savoury-sweet marinade. It was juicy, well-grilled, and paired nicely with rice and salads, making it a satisfying breakfast plate. For dessert, the ube cassava cake was rich and had a nice balance of sweetness and texture, perfectly paired with ice cream. The only downside? The prices are somewhat high -- but overall, it's still a satisfying Filipino breakfast experience."

Came here last night and it was great! We ordered basically everything. Crispy pata, sisig, short rib pares, liempo and cassava cake were all delicious. The salmon sinigang and spaghetti were much different than what I'm used to.. so if you're expecting traditional Filipino tastes on those, you might want to skip. They had an event running so I had to constantly look for our waitress but it was a great atmosphere as there was karaoke! Awesome place to eat will come here again when in town!

Halina does a modern take on Filipino food and I am all for it! Their dishes are all perfectly sized for sharing and top points go to the wings where I would order another full plate if I wasn't stuffed

Amazing meal, service and vibes at Halina last night! All the dishes were sooo flavourful and packed with umami flavour. We left full of pork belly, chicken and noodles highly recommend and looking forward to trying the salmon berry sinigang next time!

As a Filipina, I really wanted to like this place. The decorations were beautiful and the playlist was bumping some OPM. My friend and I went to Halina on a Tuesday night. We had reservations and were seated right away. There were a few people dining when we were there. We wanted something light so we got the salmon berry sinigang. If you like something sweet, you should get it. If you're expecting traditional sinigang -- it's a different take! I like my sinigang sour, so I don't think I'd get it again. Getting the food took so long and we were surprised because we only ordered one dish. The salmon portion was small so it was honestly a let down. The waitress forgot our dessert but we liked the dessert the most and we would get it again!

We visited Bar Corso during happy hour. It was nice ambience and service was very good…read more What we ordered: Crostini - Wagyu(Wagyu tartar Smoked bone marrow emulsion, onion ash and pickles) Tonnato(Confit Albacone tunnel belly Fried capers) Stacciatella(house stracciatella, balsamic,Perl's and basil) Tapenade(olive, sun dried tomatoes, roasted pepper and Calabrian chill) Wagyu was the best. It was full of flavor and wagyu was tender. Great item. Tonnato was also good. Very solid item. I did not have stacciatella. Tapenade was sour side, with strong olive and roasted pepper flavors stand out. Vongole(savory clams, fermented Taragu mares chilli white wine and parsley, squid ink linguine) Highlight! Clam and Vongole sauce were very delicious! Squid ink linguine was also good. It was good to have sauce with bread. Bistecca(Babette steak, Amaro jus, garlic scapes, frisee and hazelnuts) This item was also very delicious. Medium rare steak was tender(a bit chewy) the garlic scapes, hazelnut and frisée combination was excellent. i really enjoyed having together with meat. Overall, I really liked this restaurant. I would like to visit late night next time.

We weren't sure what to expect especially because the price was so reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious. Each course was innovative and delicious. The service was fantastic.
