We were greeted by several people right away, with a smile, eager to seat us. They were very attentive and filled our water and checked in on us several times. Impressed by their attentiveness. FOOD: We ordered steamed clams in a garlicky sake broth, and they were delicious! Perfectly steamed, and generous portion to share with 4 of us. LA Kalbi dish - very good. Meat was good, but a little too saucy. Beef Soondubu - generous portion. Son enjoyed it. Beef Dol Sot Bibimbap - also very generous. Pot was extremely hot, so the rice was extra crispy on the bottom. Came with miso soup. Very filling. Hubby ordered the Spicy Seafood Spaghetti (aka Jampong), which was decent. A little sweet, but plenty of seafood, and the texture of the noodles were good. And Kalbi Tang - this one got extra points b/c hubby loves piping hot soup. Broth was so tasty. The meat however, could have been cooked longer. Should be falling off the bone. Dishes came with 3 small side dishes (banchan) - would have been nice to have bean sprouts or spinach, which they did not have. But that's being nitpicky. This was one of our favorite meals in Vancouver, and would definitely recommend. They exceeded our expectations, and left feeling like this was money very well spent.

A friendly staff member from the bar came over, greeted us, and showed us to a table. I would have preferred a booth, but we were not given an option and were seated at a regular table. We had plenty of time to look through the QR code menu and were ready to order, but no one came to take our order. We were not asked if we wanted any drinks, and we were not provided with plates, cutlery, or napkins. What made the situation even more frustrating was that customers who arrived approximately 10 minutes after us were seated at a booth, even though there were only two of them as well. They were immediately provided with plates, cutlery, and glasses of water, while we continued to be completely overlooked. At that point, I became so frustrated that I simply got up and left. I understand that restaurants can be busy and that there may be a system for seating guests, but customers should still be acknowledged and served in a fair and timely manner. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling ignored and unwelcome. Customer service is an important part of the dining experience, and in this case, it fell well below my expectations. I was genuinely looking forward to trying Banju, but based on this experience, we will not be returning

Bossam (pork belly wraps) - served with tofu and spicy kimchi and some vegetable (kelp?) as well. They don't really give enough wraps compared to the pork slices. Decent portion size. My friends and I gobbled this up. This place also serves makgeolli (Korean rice wine) for a very reasonable price. Goes well with the food. Overall my friends and I left happy. LA Galbi was delicious but price wise, rarely feels justified. Great cuts of meat, well sauced without being overly sweet. At times I feel this place needs more staff to service the customers. Perhaps it's all the take out delivery orders they face that deters from the service. Don't hate this place but don't love it either.
