We have purchased several appliances over the years from Shore TV and Appliance and it never occurred to me to do a Yelp review. In short, They run like a small business that cares about its customers. Our last two purchases had defects from the manufacturers. ! item was a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator where the water dispenser stopped functioning after one year. Shore TV got the manufacturer to replace the item with a new one and even threw in the $70 water filter replacement. The unit had been incorrectly insulated and evidently the water line was frozen by Fisher & Paykel running it too close to the freezer. The second item was a GE induction range. The unit was DOA on arrival as the oven kept shitting off. It was going to be several weeks to get a replacement and Shore TV had already removed our old stove. We would have been out of luck but Shore TV offered (and we took them up on it ) to provide a temporary replacement stove (electric and basic) until the part for the GE came it. While I skeptical that replacing a part on a new stove was not a great idea (I wanted a brand new one), Shore assured me the item would be correct when they got the part. It was . They were extremely accommodating by getting us a stove to use until the replacement part came in (3 weeks) . I am only concerned now because they have combined with a company called Hallocks and their Yelp rating is poor at best. read more

Originally I called HALLOCKS and I was told that Kevin got sick and called out. Mr. Hindu kept asking for my name when, in the background, a woman was saying my name to him. It was totally surreal and unbelievable! Then, Adam, at Shoreline in Clinton, was contacted and he's going to attempt to get my new washer and dryer to happen as it hasn't as of yet! I recently went to Shore Appliance to replace a washing machine that stopped working unexpectedly. I knew that I needed to get something quickly or face a few more weeks of laundromat visits. I was very pleased with the customer service and information that the salesperson provided. Delivery was scheduled quickly and they carted the old appliance away. Always have great customer service at Shore TV and Appliance. Over the years, I have bought AC, Grills, dishwasher, Stove, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer. They deliver good quality, on time, and easy to work with when I go into the store. Their prices for a smaller local vendor are comperable and often times exactly the same or lower, than the big box stores. Best around and conveniently close. They also take away my older appliances if no longer need them. read more

We got a beautiful dishwasher that works wonderfully with our new kitchen. We had a few knowledgeable workers that were attentive to our questions and were more than happy to help us choose what was best for us. Wow..this store used to be A rating but my recent experience has been horrible. My mom and walked into the store and was ignored for 5 min while people saw us walk us. We hadn't even looked at items yet. Then our sales man couldnt tell us much about the different microwaves other than "size" he knew more about the dishwashers but again not a lot of detail. Made arrangement to have contractor pick up the items called ahead of it by 2 days so the items could be brought over from storage. As the store asked us to do. Then our items weren't at the store when contractor went to pick them up Then on top of it, the lady who answered the phone raised her voice and started to argue with me. And then the salesman got on the phone and yelled and argued with me. Store manager wasn't available. Horrific customer service. I have purchased many things (Refrigerator, Stove, Washer, Dryer, TV, Dishwasher) from Shore Appliance and have never had a problem with them. The sales people spend a lot of time with their customers and do so with a smile on their face. I most recently purchased a dishwasher from them. Because my construction was delayed due to the pandemic, Shore Appliance had no problem holding onto my dishwasher for me for over two years until my construction had recently commenced again and sent Keith to install it. Keith was punctual, polite, professional, and pleasantly agreeable even when I changed my mind and asked him to please change the outlet I originally asked him to plug it into, despite having completed the job and having already packed up his tools! He was happy to accommodate me and then explained all the buttons and functions to me in great detail. Fantastic service. Our oven died right before Christmas, they had a new double oven installed and working by New Years! Great techs, knew what they were doing, courteous and cleaned up after theyvinstalled our new Electrolux double ovens. I can't speak highly enough about our experience with them. I like to support local businesses. I have a friend that has bought all of her appliances from shore TV, she brought me there a few months ago to look for a dishwasher. I wish I could remember the salesman's name he was wonderful, gave me great recommendations for a dishwasher. It was delivered and I love it. However, I recently went in there a few weeks ago to purchase a refrigerator and a new stove. I did not have the same salesman I previously had, unfortunately for me. The salesman was younger and seemed a little uncertain, perhaps new. I realize we learn as we go. I am fine with that, but ask for help if you're not sure. After returning home I realized the refrigerator is too tall for the space that I have. I went back in there and dealt with the same young salesman, he told me there was no refrigerator that height, 67". He advised me to research other places and that they would refund the balance when I brought the credit card back into them. I was shocked I was basically advised to shop elsewhere. The next day I ran in to get the credit, dealt with another young salesman, I told him that I was told the ht was not available and that I found it in Best Buy. He said "that's good". I think they have a great store here and I'm sure some of the salesman have been there for a while and really know the merchandise. I don't think I was asking for anything exceptional I live in a condo and 67 inches is what will it fit in the space, they exist they are sold at other stores, The gentleman could have asked for assistance from a manager or someone else they could've directed them to assist me to order the correct refrigerator, as they carry the brand that I have found at Best Buy. I feel bad for whoever owns the store because I think they are losing business to salesman that are basically telling people to shop elsewhere. I was very disappointed and I'm not sure if I'll go back there or ever refer them. read more

I live in OldSaybrook. Wanted to buy local so went to Shore for a frig. Worked with Lyndsey and then Jim. Purchased the frig. Delivery was quick and 2 days later. Delivery guys were nice but could not get frig doors straight and could not balance the unit. It rocks when you open it and the side by side handles are crooked. They also did not have the ice maker to install. Best they could do at 9:30 am was send a repair guy on Monday. Called the OldSaybrook store and no answer or machine . Called Clinton. Spoke with Barbara who asked me to take pictures of the init. She called back 90 minutes later to say nothing she could do until Monday. Went to the OldSaybrook store on my way down town. Spoke with Jim. Believe it or not a manager! He says these things happen. Nothing he can do. I advised I would no longer make the effort to keep my business local. He responded very casually, sorry. Monday I will wait for the repair crew to fix my new frig and install the ice maker. Next time PC Richards, Or Home Depot! read more

Very pleased with our experience at Shore TV & Appliance. We purchased a wall oven and cooktop. Great customer service at the store followed by excellent, professional installation. They came to our place first to take measurements to make sure everything would fit into the given space (no charge). The removal of our old appliances and installation of the new went smoothly.
