I had gone to the restaurant in Bell Gardens, and always wanted to go back. I had no idea there was a location closer to me. I went, and it was just as good as the first time I tried it. The burger had so much flavor, and it was nice and hot. The fries w/ the sausage were so tasty, and I couldn't decide if I should continue w/ the fries or take more bites of the burger. Everything was good, and I can't wait to go back. Oh, and the Chile momias are so good. Get a side of those too. Maybe two orders of that. The parking lot is pretty small, so if you're planning on eating there, be patient w/ the parking.

LOADED burgers, great service. The space was clean and inviting. You can't beat the value of a $11 burger with EVERYTHING on it.

Today I was in Vernon for work and I was craving burgers so I went on yelp and I found this place. What can I say? These were Mexican style burgers and they were absolutely amazing. I got a couple of their popular items and I also got their loaded fries and the stuffed jalapeños. The burgers came with ham, the meat that cheese, the salsa remind me of a torta. This place is absolutely delicious and the service was so fast. You have to check this place out when you're around Vernon.

The food was amazing! The service is very well too. Me and my family of five ordered and got our food in about 15 minutes. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I was lucky enough to catch the Mad Pambazos truck at Brouwerij West last Friday. Their pambazos…read morewill blow your mind about the concept of sandwich. I mean, it's a sandwich, right? Meat, cheese, whatever....no, this pambazo is something special. Each one is handcrafted to order and you can tell that each of the ingredients is super fresh. And, since this is LA, there are plenty of tasty vegetarian options....bonus, they're delicious and very Insta-worthy. I started off with their roasted Japanese sweet potato fries with the subtle curry flavor, aioli and yogurt-mint dipping sauces, and those nice crispy edges. I split Silvertongue's Chicken and the Doofwarrior with my fiancee. The fact that they had the tender, flavorful chicken and rich, complex tikka masala flavor downnnn (Silvertongue) and that dreamy roasted pork belly (Doofwarrior) has me convinced that these guys can do no wrong. The pambazos are HUGE and filled with layer after layer of tender meat and veggies. Each bite is a perfect mix of texture (crisp, chewy bun and shredded cabbage crunch), herbs, spices, and acidity. The Scrooloose taco was awesome too....tortillas made in-house from a food truck?! You can tell that these guys put care and effort into preparing the meats because it doesn't taste or look like it's made in a food truck. So good! And if the flavor-forward food isn't enough for you, they have about a dozen hot sauces that they make themselves! Since I am a bit of wimp, I did not try all of them but the blueberry habanero was my fave out of the ones I had. They don't post up at a permanent location so do yourself a favor and check out their location on IG or Twitter....it's totally worth it.

A big bonus was that they hand make every single corn tortilla. The Ton Ton Tattoo Taco comes with sliced brisket, kimchi diakon, scallions, and a korean chili vinaigrette. It was pretty good, the brisket was pretty tender and had a great marinated flavor to it. It might be a little bit spicy though, so fair warning. They have a great selection of sauces which complimented the tacos as well. Our favorite was the mango habanero but its got some real heat to it so watch out!

The food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the burgers live up to the hype. What makes it even better is that you're not just getting a great meal; you're experiencing a piece of Los Angeles history. Places like this are becoming rare, and Hawkins House of Burgers has earned its legendary status. If you're a local and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. And if you're visiting Los Angeles, put this place on your list.

If you are wanting a better tasting burger with pretty much thr same ingredients, I would suggest The Shack in Playa Del Rey. The fries here got soggy because of how they put them in the bag. It's unfortunate that there is no where to sit and that's why the fries get soggy. Let's now talk about the process. They accidentally messed my order by missing fries. Not the end of the world but in order for them to correct their mistake, I had to take all the food they put in the bag and give it back to them. That means while I waited over 25 minutes for my order, I had to wait longer for them to see what's in the bag to see the mistake. Who is to say that if I was crooked, I would simply remove the fries from the bag. What this ultimately means is that now my family is eating colder food. I didn't even bother for the fries anymore since I didn't want to either have my food get colder or wait another 20 minutes for them to remake all the food. I simply wouldn't go back. I do hope they stay around because we are losing small business but the owners should really reconsider the policy for missing food.

Since I frequently attended, worked, or volunteered at the myriad of year-around events throughout Southern California, I had never seen this food truck before and was drawn to the scrumptious-looking eats that were leaving the meal mobile. I saw and smelled enough to perk my interest, so would my hunger be satiated by their grub!?: QUICK BIO "The talented crew running the Me So Hungry truck specializes in delicious gourmet burgers and sliders that should satisfy the cravings of any street food aficionado. After crafting an impressive career cooking in the kitchens of McCormick and Schmicks and The Four Seasons, Chef Cory Ewing has created a mobile menu that puts a classy twist on classic fare, without overpowering the flavors with too many ingredients. And...one of the best things about Me So Hungry? Burger fans of Los Angeles can enjoy all this quality cuisine at a quite reasonable price." PURCHASE Monster Burger ($13): Angus beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Asian BBQ sauce between a lightly toasted bun, mine certainly wasn't as well-made and aesthetically pleasing as its picture. Thankfully, the jumbo juicy patty, messy melted cheese, and sweet syrupy sauce more than made up for it! This two-hander was a monster that met its match https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=gUiTa-pdUnlUnhHW_uerDA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE The tiny staff that consisted of one cook and one order-taker seemed to work well together as they kept the line flowing. From the time I ordered to when I received my entree was about a 10-minute wait (standard). I carted my burger away, found a spot along a nearby chain-linked fence, and ravaged it - all was good! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever the event was held. In this case, the event to place in DTLA along the historic Broadway Theatre District which had plenty of paid parking garages, lots, and structures (no parking allowed along the main drag of Broadway during the event) within the surrounding area. Another option was the nearby Pershing Square Red Line Station (which I took) or hired a driving service like a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. There were no TVs nor background music https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=hRfddsMgMpuGjoORoC4nJg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL My first encounter with Me So Hungry Food Truck was a pleasing one and would consider them again. The burger I had was rather simple but tantalized my tastebuds. However, the prices were above-par among the food truck scene, the menu selection was scarce (only six items in this case), while the service was fine. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $13.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS
