Maryland Crab Cake On The Hill

Food and service were excellent and certainly hit the spot after a long day of walking around the Mall.

Came to DC for a few days before I head out to Maryland to visit friends After a long day of travel I checked into my hotel and given that I was thirsty and hungry I decided to just keep it local... and by local I mean eating inside the hotel Came down after leaving my stuff in the room and the grill was hopping! You have to sit yourself bar style so I was lucky enough to find an empty table for two although it was me, myself and me again! Service was slow but can't fault a ton there as it was packed especially since I was told they had a few conferences going on which explained the packed bar and grill I had a few drinks... started with a stella after I was told blue moon ran out ugh but I love Stella too but was bummed because I wanted a blue moon. Stella wasn't stellar ... I mean it was fine but it wasn't cold it was kinda room temperature cool which was a little disappointing. Then I decided on an signature cocktail and did the cherry old fashioned and that was delicious!! I ordered some wings, a pretzel, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The wings were great and so was the pretzel but I was hoping for more flavor on the chicken sandwich it felt bland and that's shocking given the chicken was grilled and had pesto so I was surprised and the fries it came with felt a little half cooled down too... not sure if they had left my plate sitting made before they brought it out but either way the sandwich could use more flavor Still it is a nice place and good choice to unwind after a long day!

Our friends were in town for the weekend and we stopped in here for a quick bite. We started off sitting at the bar, and tried their old fashioned's. I tried the apple cider and my boyfriend went for the cherry, both were tasty and made very well. There's ample seating and there's a ton of photo ops, including a sexy fireplace! Our servers were quick and helpful, we got a chance to talk with one of the managers and he kept us informed about their upcoming events. I'd definitely like to come back for dinner and try out some of their specialties.

Great food and great service. I ate a lentil curry dish. That was absolutely amazing and did not have any rice only Vegetables and lentils. My friend had the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. She said it was delicious. The food was beyond amazing. I had the best salad I think I've ever eaten in my entire life called L'Enfant Salad $15.00 Local Spring Greens Dressed with Sherry Vinaigrette, Shaved Fennel, Grapes, Tiny Tomatoes, Black Olives, Toasted Pepitas I couldn't do the vinaigrette due to mini allergies so I asked for a balsamic vinegar and olive oil. That way there was kind enough to bring me an amazing, thick, delicious, balsamic vinegar with it.

Not bad for a hotel restaurant and bar, quick service, decent options but as you may have guessed definitely overpriced. But that's standard for hotel restaurants and bars. I had the lamb kabobs and hubby had the rotisserie chicken. Both dishes were good and worth coming back if you're staying there.

This one of the best restaurants inside Hilton hotels i have been too. Food was great. We got cheese quesadilla. It was spectacular. Salad with salmon. Was super fresh. Pizza to go. Was amazing. Bar tenders were nice And very attentive. Will come back.

    Pretzel, crudites.

If you're staying in the Hilton, this place is handy. But it's expensive, and slow. Fairly swanky bar and restaurant layout, a bit noisy at busy times (hotel busy times, not just the restaurant, because it is fairly open.). I first went in the evening for a late meal. The staff didn't seem to know the items on the menu, I had to point at each one. I got the pretzel and the crudites. It took half an hour to arrive. Now, for an entree, that's a little long but might have been appropriate. But not for these. True, they did arrive elegantly plated. And the food itself was great. Huge pretzel, a good dipping sauce. Very fresh veggies, also with a dipping sauce. But, for $40 and 90 minutes there total? Not worth it. The breakfast buffet, which you can purchase ahead of time or bill to your room, was equally overpriced. Service again was good, though minimal. The buffet is really nothing more than your standard hotel buffet, although the quality is definitely a bit better. But is it worth $20? No. Scrambled egg, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, pastries, fruit and juice. I mean, it was decent, but the only reason I went is because it was handy. There aren't many other places in the area.

Salads here two nights in a row - perfect. Service is truly outstanding. If you're staying in the Hilton Wharf - look no farther.

Common hotel bar food not particularly well executed. The Tuna was fishy and the hamburger was OK at best.

Great restaurant inside the Hilton. Good selection of alcohol at the bar and decent food options. The short rib tacos are great

We settled on a clam chowder, buratta, petite filets, and molton chocolate cake. The chowder was a tad bit salty but delicious. Unlike most restaurants they serve a hearty bowl vs cup. I had to pace myself. The buratta was very earthy as the arugula was heavy but the sauce did lighten it up and give dimension. Now, that Filet was simply divine. Perfect flavor and so delicate and moist. I'm a well-done weirdo but ordered medium-well. It came out medium and was oh so juicey. It literally melted in my mouth. There was minimal seasoning. Yet, the whiskey-peppercorn sauce that accompanied it really added flavor. I'm a suckered for a good sauce. Definitely, worth my time. Top tier steak! Service was top tier. David was phenomenal. As a visitor it was well worth the stop! Perfect service

I tried the Mane Attraction ($13), made with Little Saints St. Juniper Lion's Mane Spirit, raspberry, honey, and lime. It was quite tart and interesting to try, but probably not something I'd order again. The highlight for me was the Happy Hour Today's Oysters. We had the choice between East or West Coast and went with the West Coast oysters, which I really enjoyed with lemon and mignonette. Carla also tried the Spicy Tuna Bite, which was a nice addition to our happy hour bites. Overall, a solid stop at The Wharf, especially if you're looking for oysters and a quick happy hour bite!

Or as they call it "Martini Happy Hour."…read moreWe enjoyed a dirty vodka martini and a dirty blue Martini - made with bleu cheese stuffed olives and a bleu cheese vermouth. Nicely priced at $12 each. Also served with the cocktails were a bottle of still and a bottle of sparkling water - very welcomed on our August 20,000 step sight-seeing tour. We ordered the $12 shrimp cocktail - 5 decent shrimp with two sauces. The $7 fries were insane! If we're in the area again on this trip, we'll definitely stop in again for Martini Happy Hour.

She was most likely on auto pilot and appeared embarrassed when she realized it. I politely smiled and said (confidently), table for 1. We solo diners need to be loud and proud! I digress... Before being seated I found the restroom. I found it odd that it was extremely dim. The main dining room was brighter than the restroom! I also saw the Photo Booth. Interesting addition. $5 for pictures. I was seated at a small round table with two chairs by the window. The restaurant was plenty busy, and I'm just glad I wasn't asked if I wanted to sit at the bar (I didn't). My server Noel brought two bottles of water: still and sparkling. I requested lemon slices, which he brought. And I proceeded to finish the entire bottle of sparkling by the end of the meal...guess I was thirsty! But I appreciated the option of both. I forgot to ask for a straw, but saw them in a container at the register right behind my table, so I got one myself. After ordering I noticed a nearby table had some bread so I asked Noel if they served complimentary bread. He said yes and apologized for not bringing it initially. Not that I needed it, but I don't eat bread with butter often and this was a night out to indulge a bit. There were two slices, nothing special. My food arrived within about 10-15 minutes and looked so scrumptious. I ordered the lamb and short rib meatballs and Brussels sprouts. The meatballs were pretty good, but what made them even better was the tzatziki sauce. I didn't realize the green rice was on one side of the plate until I was almost done. That tzatziki sauce was really all I needed to go with the meatballs. It was cool and creamy to go with the dry, meatiness of the meatballs. I honestly wish there had been more of it! I did not finish the rice, which didn't look super appetizing because of the intense green color. I will say though, I'm not a fan of spicy food but the tzatziki had a kick. I think perhaps due to chopped jalapeños. I tried to avoid them once I realized. The Brussels were delicious! Roasted to perfection, not too charred and not too mushy. I requested the green goddess sauce on the side because I'm not a huge sauce person, but once I tried it, I couldn't stop. Again, the combination of the creaminess of the sauce with the flakiness of the Brussels was a genius pairing. During the meal the beverage manager stopped by. I didn't have any drinks with the meal, but perhaps I will return to see what they have. Noel brought the bill at my request, then brought over the portable device so I could pay at the table. While that process is efficient, it's always awkward leaving a tip when the server is standing right there. Anyhow, overall it was a good experience and a delicious meal!
