My truck is on a 12-inch lift with 42-inch tires, which basically means it's less of a truck and more of a mobile observation tower. Small children look at it the way people look at monster trucks at a county fair. Most oil change places take one look at it and suddenly say things like "our lift is down" or "we don't service... aircraft carriers." Not these guys. They walked out, looked up at the truck like they were inspecting a skyscraper, nodded, and got to work like it was a completely normal Tuesday. One of the techs climbed up there like a Navy SEAL scaling a building. Next thing I know, oil change done, no drama, no weird upsells, and nobody needed a ladder from Home Depot. Truck runs great, still sits high enough to change the weather pattern in Glendale, and I'll definitely be coming back. 10/10. If your truck is ridiculously tall and slightly irresponsible like mine, these are your people.

Dave was kind, direct, honest, said it's a common issue with Volts, was confident and gave a reasonable diagnostic quote $150. While I was recommended to him for a 2nd opinion on a pricey job, I ultimately will stick with my auto guy in NoHo purely because of distance. He encouraged me to call another shop he recommended, and said "you want to ask them how many times they've seen this on a Volt" and make sure it's something they're used to, so you don't have to pay money for their inexperience! I mean what kind of amazing guy is he? Very rare. I did call the other shop, Long Auto, and they were very polite (eventually opted to stay with my auto guy near me).
