I have been to the Hammam Spa twice now and have had THE BEST EXPERIENCE! -The hammam treatment rejuvenates your skin's texture, detoxes you head to toe, and leaves you so impeccably soft. They use all natural products and exotic oils you can't easily find here in the states. -The massage I had with Latifa was absolutely amazing. She applied a good amount of pressure and was able to knead out some trouble spots/knots on my shoulders. I've had massages dozens of times and Latifa is truly one of the best massage therapists & estheticians I've seen. -When you are done with your facial, hammam treatment, or massage, you're warmly invited to enjoy a cup of tea in their lovely Moroccan seating area. Trust me...I'm a tea snob, and have been all over Houston trying to dupliate its ingredients...it's the most heavenly tea I have ever had. I probably down it in a minute but they generously offer another cup of tea when the cup is empty :) -The spa is well kept, meets high sanitary standards, and is beautifully decorated. The staff (Latifa, Ghazal, Katie, et al) is professional, courteous, and extremely educated. They make everyone that walks through the door feel like royalty! Cost me 229$ and once I was done the owner gave me tea before I headed out. Very relaxing. I had some problem dry skin areas that I could not reach and this is the cure! Rhonda my specialist and the owner were SO attentive and welcoming. I felt so comfortable like I was at home. I was so elated when Latifa was so generous to schedule me for a treatment on a busy holiday weekend. I was wowed immediately as I entered the spa due to the extremely serene and welcoming ambiance. Each staff was knowledgeable and attentive to my every need. I selected the 90 minutes Hammam Treatment with massage. Amantha one of the aestheticians explained the process very throughly and was very warm and extremely knowledgeable. The magic began when Malika began my treatment. She was thorough and detailed ensuring my experience was UNFORGETTABLE! I've had this treatment done in several parts of the world and Hammam Spa exceeded my expectations. I felt like I was in the heart of Morocco! They ended my wonderful day with amazing tea and beauty tips to enhance the magic they created at the spa. OMG! First off, let me say that I am absolutely IN LOVE with this place! At first it doesn't look like much on the outside, but once you go in and walk behind the curtains it's like you are literally transported to Morocco. I went with my friend and her boyfriend on a whim, just because i'd heard about Hammam from a cousin who lives in Abu Dhabi and wanted to try it for myself. I also suffer from unbearably dry itchy skin when the weather changes and NO amount of loofah scrubbing or salt/sugar scrubs can penetrate my rough shell. Ghizlane did my hammam treatment and she was so nice and comforting, like a close friend or sister. Even while I was apologizing profusely for the massive amount of dead skin she was sloughing off of my body, she remained polite and sincere and explained how normal it was. After the exfoliating I felt like all of my sins were scrubbed and washed away, then the lotion she put on afterwards turned me into butter. I COULD NOT stop rubbing myself. It was glorious. The facial had me smelling roses the rest of the night and my face wasn't irritated or anything, just smooth and baby soft. The mint tea that was served afterwards was delicious and just the right way to end a relaxing spa treatment and I mentioned to Latifah and Ghizlane how I wanted to visit Morocco soon. They extended their hospitality to me and told me I could travel with them or if they weren't able to travel they would make sure I would be welcomed by their family! I love when God places good spirited people in your path. :-) Of course at the end we had to purchase almost all of the items used in the treatment (which are all natural), the body gel used for the shower smells delicious, my friend bought two. All in all, I could write a story about how beautiful a time I had, but it is something you have to experience for yourself. I will be back every other week for hammam as I see a definite difference in my skin(no more dry patches, yay!!) after the first treatment. This will be home away from home. The tea service after is very nice. Be careful with required tips. Sometimes they mention required tip and sometimes they do not. The prices for services beyond traditional hammam are also very high. I LOVE HAMMAM SPA!!!!!! I have never been so welcomed at a spa not to mention have such amazing services to top it off! Now I originally came in just for deep tissue massage, but they highly recommend the HAMMAM so I decide to give it a shot after Melody and Latifa gave me there personal testimony. They told me about pore getting clogged easy and those little bumps that appear just on the outer top part of your skin will dramatically improve after just one treatment! So I had a HAMMAM full body exfoliation with the argon oil body treatment! They literally scrub away that unwanted dead skin off you that your everyday loofa or sugar scrub CAN NOT DO! They are super professional and have so much knowledge to give. Melody my tech was sweet and made me feel like part of the family! We even talked over tea after my service was done. Now after 3 days since I have been there I can personally say I see the difference and hate that I didn't know about this sooner! You notice that your skin is soft and smooth afterwards and it's not just the oil! Ask during the session and they will let you feel the difference too! I seriously recommend that you try this if you are just passing through, a Salon Junkie or just someone looking for something new and fun to try! The place is very clean and new .. the ladies are so nice.. the body scrub treatment was good but I tried the Korean scrub and I guess I like the Korean better.. just bcoz I felt the scrubbing was more intense and more dead skin came out doing the Korean scrub.. I thought it's also a bit over priced.. overall very good for sensitive skins or on weekly paces and would recommend it since there is no Korean spa in Houston yet but not the best I've ever had personally. I finally found a place in Houston that KNOWS how to do sugaring waxing. I've been sugar waxing for over 5 years and moved to Houston recently and couldn't find a decent aesthetician to do so until now. I've been to two other places, which I won't name, but I know a professional waxing when I get one. The previous two seemed as if all they did was watch YouTube videos. I really enjoyed the staff. They were pleasant and continuously checked on me while I waited for the service. The location isn't great but the decor and ambiance was very Morrocan and nice. I felt comfortable and the actual wax was done by a professional as I'm used to. It's a little pricey but I will likely be back since there really aren't any other options in Houston. read more

This place is amazing! I was looking to get a facial and came across this place on Yelp and saw how close it was so I figured with all the great reviews it was worth trying. I went with the full body treatment and facial and let me just tell you it was a LIFE CHANGING experience. I could not believe all of the dead skin that came off of my body even though I regularly exfoliate..... Which at home exfoliant are nothing compared to a hammam visit. The place is beautiful and the women there are just as beautiful inside and out with warm welcoming smiles and personalities. After you are done they have this amazing Moroccan hot tea and a bottle of water for you to sit and relax with. I got to spend some time with the ladies and talk which truly made my experience complete. If you have never had a hammam treatment you must go at least once in your life but I promise you will be hooked and can't imagine going without it. read more

I wasn't quite sure what to expect since I've never been to Morocco, but the terrific reviews here gave me enough confidence to book a scrub (hammam, without massage afterward) and see what the fuss was about. Glad I did: Hands down, it was the best spa experience I've had in Houston. Amantha was sweet and professional and made me feel very comfortable despite the new experience, and she did a great job. My skin feels like butter today! Next time I will plan with enough time to also do a massage afterwards - and I will bring a banana clip for my hair instead of just using my usual elastic. The place is clean and the rooms offer you the feeling of privacy, for those who aren't 100% comfortable in various states of undress. This was a horrible experience. I bought a scalp massage for $80 for my mother as a gift. I spoke to a gentleman who told me he was the owner's husband and assured me it was a one hour massage. However, all they do is cover your hair with oil and make you sit there for a half hour then wash it out and pull out half your hair while washing it out, because they are trying to massage wet hair while washing shampoo out. Definitely not the type of scalp massage that I have had in the past; the owners were misleading. My mother arrived at the spa at 5 and was in her car before 6, so they don't even give you a full hour. On top of that they make you sign paperwork that you have to leave 18% gratuity, so my mother had to "pay for her gift"; the owner's husband was well aware that this was a gift, because he told me how to print the certificate out, but decided to leave this detail out. There product may be good but Argan oil is not that expensive in Morocco - I have been there and watched it being freshly pressed. So basically we paid them $96 for spending 5 minutes putting oil on and another 5 minutes washing it out (a one hour body massage on average costs $70 and uses more oil). I have been to Hammams in Morocco and Turkey. My overall impression was a lot of marketing emphasizing an exotic experience for a poor quality service. read more

I went to use a gift certificate over spring break and had a Moroccan Hammam and massage. I didn't know what to expect and left completely relaxed and satisfied with the service. I didn't want to leave and thanks to the delicious, complimentary tea and the inviting lounge area, I stayed to savor the state of relaxation before leaving. I really like this spa. Everyone was very nice and professional. It is small and I believe I was the first client of the day so everything was clean and orderly. The decor is comforting. I purchased the Hammam with massage. Overall it was wonderful. The scrub is abrasive so if you have delicate skin I caution you. It hurt in some areas. The hair wash was a nice simple touch also. The massage was soo good. I am an athlete and my legs kill me Amantha put in good work on my calves and thighs. The only things that were outside of my preference were the lack of communication/education about each step of the process and the products being used. I was kind of guessing along the way because she was not explaining the process. It was my first time so everything was a surprise. Also when I was put in the steam room it was like 78 deg for the first 5 min as it warmed. Therefore I was cold due to the shower prior. I would have preferred it to be warmed prior. It's pretty expensive so I would prefer a lounge to relax and drink tea after treatment, similar to other higher end spas. Feels weird being so relaxed then running to the checkout and hopping back into the real world so abruptly. There is an 18% grat that I wasn't aware of. No big deal because those ladies put in good work. Just a fyi for the newcomers. Overall I will return. The full hammam may be a bit too expensive and excessive to do often but I will def go back for massage and other treatments. read more

On 11-21-15, my fiancee and I purchased the VIP Full Body Moroccan Hammam Treatment. IT WAS FABULOUS! We love the way our skin felt, and we loved the relaxing experience. We were able to stay in the same room together for the treatment. This spa is exceptionally clean and professionally run by very qualified and experienced managers and staff. We will definitely return for more treatments. We also liked the organic skin products. The Moroccan tea is excellent! read more
