Update to my original review: I was contacted directly by both the General Manager and the Owner after my original review, and I really appreciate how they handled the situation. They rearranged the schedule to fit me in at 4 PM today and were even able to squeeze in a pedicure. They couldn't fit in the manicure as well, but honestly, that's completely understandable considering they were already going out of their way to accommodate me. More importantly, they acknowledged my complaints instead of brushing them off and did everything they could to make things right. I'm more than grateful for the follow-up and the effort they put into turning around my experience. To me, taking customer feedback seriously and actually using it to improve the business is what keeps customers coming back. I'm still not a fan of the AI assistant, and I hope that's something they continue to work on. I know changes like that won't happen overnight, but hopefully with enough customer feedback, improvements will come. Overall, I really appreciate how the General Manager and Owner responded and handled the situation. They definitely turned what started as a frustrating experience into a much more positive one, and that deserves to be acknowledged too. read more

7/24/26 So this was my first time here. My cousin goes here and has a membership and had credits that he was able to give to me so that I could come try the place out. See what it was all about and it did not disappoint. I've been looking for a really good barber to do fade and fade my beard and so forth and I wanted to try this place out. Mateo was my barber. I hope I'm spelling that right. He was great. I was able to show him pictures of what my sister-in-law does from California who is a barber and he was able to do exactly what I wanted. I thought it was really cool that you get a complementary drink too. It's a very cool vibe. Very chill good music playing. Really nice big shop. It can be a little bit on the pricier side but if you do a monthly and wanna get your haircut / beard trim a couple times a month then it's worth it. I can't remember the Manager's name, but he explained everything to me and showed me all the different options and it is very cool. This is a men's retreat, no skirts please. Finally, a spot for a little self care with a full bar and sports everywhere. I've had a pedicure, a haircut and a manicure (first in 30 years!). From the outside, the shop looks pretty small, but once you walk in, it's actually super spacious and really nice inside. I was greeted right away by the concierge and even offered a drink, which was a great first impression. Didn't have to wait at all either, which I appreciated. Kimi was awesome. She was super nice, gave me a quick tour of the place, and made me feel comfortable right away. She was really gentle, asked exactly what I wanted, and explained everything she was doing. Booked two weeks ago. Scheduled 4 services. You only get to choose arrival time so expected that they would bundle his services. The artist "forgot" the main part of the PREMIUM BEARD SERVICE, and told my husband we only paid for the basic. He was then told to come back in an hour for the rest of his services. I had the great pleasure of visiting Hammer and Nails for a haircut and they turned me from a first-visit customer to a return customer. I couldn't help but notice how nice, helpful, and prompt Kim (the manager) was. She was a delight to speak to on the phone and when I was in the salon, she was cool, calm, and collected despite being very busy. She gave me the membership sales pitch in a friendly, non-pushy way. I really appreciated that. Then I met Kimmy, my stylist. Wow!!!! I am so happy I did. She gave me the most amazing hair cut I've had in a long time. Her attention to detail, her precision, and her expertise are things I've been looking for in other stylists for years but haven't found.... Until today. She is my new stylist for sure! The facilities are top notch and any guy can appreciate the setup they have.... TVs at every station, big screens in the lounge, big screens in the mani/pedi area. I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed my favorite spot! I look forward to getting to come here. Not only is the concept genius, the service is exceptional. I've seen all three of the barbers at this point, and Miguel, Jack, and Avery are all excellent at what they do. They're all relatable, kind, and they care about doing a great job. I've also seen several of the cosmetologists that specialize in nail care, and they've all been great. I want to give a special shout out to Sinai (so sorry if I spelled this incorrectly!). She is an absolute rockstar. She is so kind, and she remembers everyone that goes in there. I was a manager for a long time, and I know that she is the kind of employee you find maybe one-in-a-thousand times. I also love their scheduling system and the app. You can book an appointment really easily, and you don't have to wait a week or more to get in (unlike other barber shops in town.) You can also choose the provider you want to see. I really appreciate how easy it is to get an appointment booked or changed. Overall, Hammer and Nails demonstrates the age-old adage that you get what you pay for. The membership is a pretty good value, and you get amazing service (and a free drink!) every time you go. I'd give this a 5-star but I've yet to use the services. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I received a tour and wow the place is amazing. Much larger than you'd expect. Very clean and inviting. There's multiple rooms which was very cool. Even the bathroom was well stocked. They have a nice lounge and bar area. All grooming areas were well maintained and spacious. All areas had their own TVs. It really was amazing to see. Hope their services are just as wonderful. I'll do a follow-up for sure. read more

Now this is living! I had heard a whisper of Hammer and Nails from others in the past but never gave it much thought. So finally a trusted friend told me go give it a look while we were next door at X Golf. So I went over to check it out and was throughly impressed. Just so happen to bump into the owners while I was there and him & his wife gave me and my wife the full tour. Really impressive place! I signed up for the classic membership on the spot and have already used one credit for a foot service. So far- so good! Side note: I tried to get in Sunday but they were booked solid. Suggest downloading the app and booking out a bit if you want the weekends. Joined the waiting list from the app for Sunday but wasn't able to get in. Got a call from Erin late Sunday asking if I'd like to book for Monday. Nice personal touch to have someone reach out like that I thought. Monday wasn't an option for me and they are closed Tuesdays so I booked first thing on Wednesday and got right in and out. Enjoyed a nice & cold VOSS sparkling water while Tish took care of my talons. Oh and I got a little beard tune-up too. Overall I was happy and am looking forward to my next visit. Great concept, lackluster execution. (I am a VIP founding Member, was I should say) From start to finish this "experience" felt like it wasn't going to go well. I walked in for my 2pm appt, the lounge was filled with employees so guess what? I had no where to sit. Drink menu was terrible. This is supposed to be a "luxury" experience yet it felt like sports clips with cheap alcohol. The employees are BSing and loud up front - there goes relaxing experience. 2:20 before I start actually getting my haircut, so no respect for my time in a place that was empty. Now my services I paid for explains a master barber experience, yet I'm getting my haircut by a cosmetologist that doesn't specifically specialized in men's hair. (Like sports clips, wow). The overuse of aromatics to give you a "luxury" experience is unbearable. Employees walking back and forth aimlessly seems to be the norm. Idk why this bothered but now that I was bothered. I noticed everything haha I couldn't wait for this whole thing to be over. Arriving at 2 and it's not 3:30 and I'm still not done. Literally missing 2 other appts I had to do. Save your money, if you want this experience go to sports clip and drink a tall can in your car. Might be more fun. I cancelled my membership immediately - it's been a short time since they opened but from the guys I work with, none had a good experience. This is a very impressive shop! I called ahead and made an appointment as a first time customer. I had no idea what to expect. I walk in, and I am immediately greeted with a smile and a tour of the shop. Everything is put together and very clean. The vibe is relaxing and modern. I was handed a drink as one of the ladies up front explained how their haircuts work and took the time to answer any of my questions about their different memberships. I sit down with my barber Cody and he greets me with a smile and we start talking about how I wanted my hair cut. He takes the time to ask me clarifying questions to really understand what I wanted. So I gave this a few days to gather my thoughts on what's billed as a "premium experience" for guys. Let's break it down into skill of the barber, experience of the salon, and overall impression. The barber - so I booked a "premium cut". I'm older and have been lucky in having some really great barbers cut my hair over the years. The guy that gave me the "premium cut" has been doing this for 1 1/2 years..... The upside is that he has some skill and talent.. and cares about his work. The downside is that he's still learning, and for a "premium cut" I'd prefer someone who's further up the experience ladder and is more knowledgable and skilled in his craft. I'd give my haircut a C+ The salon "experience" - I'd give this a D- and maybe an F..... I wasn't welcomed, or given a tour, or informed about the services available. Just shown to the chair. If this is going to be an "experience" kind of place then they really gotta up their game. The place has only been open 3-4 weeks and it already appears dark and dirty.. Really not good and frankly waaaay overpriced. Overall - I think the guy that cut my hair deserves another run at it, because I think he cares about doing a good job. On the other hand, there are a lot of options for spending $100 to get a haircut in a nice and welcoming environment from someone with skill and experience. read more

I was not happy with the premium haircut I was given. I didn't feel the quality was what was advertised. Apparently there is a difference between what the stylist and barbers can do. I'm used to barbers and was expecting a more finishing detail. I was very disappointed in the haircut and service but after speaking to the manager they refunded my service and offered to reschedule me with a barber in the future. I just got a membership - and I am, already, thrilled. My wife and I were at the Summit last Saturday, when I remembered seeing ads for a new Men's Grooming Salon at the Summit Mall, so I wanted to check it out! I had been to other places that cater, largely, to men - but, I was so much more impressed with Hammer & Nails. My wife and I walked in and were instantly greeted with a warm smile and hello. We were quickly offered a tour and a complimentary drink. The facility is awesome - with a comfortable lounge area near the bar, a separate area for the hair and beard services, and then feet and hands services in another area. It was all very clean, elegant-looking, and accessible. Accessibility matters to me a lot, given that I am a wheelchair user, and I was very impressed with Hammer & Nails in this area - which I will give more details on later. After our VERY INFORMATIVE and just plain-ol pleasant tour, the membership options were explained, all of my questions were answered, and everything was very clear. I signed up, that day, for the VIP level membership that provides 3 Premium Services per month, and an additional add-on free-of-charge for $189. After I signed up for my membership, I was offered, right away, to book! So I did! And this is where I was really sold... As I said before, I had been given a tour, and, while on my tour, I passed by one of their barbers - Avery. I said a quick "Hello" and moved on. When I was signing up for a membership, the question of getting set up with a barber came up - Well, Avery was up front at the time, and eagerly offered to take care of me! I loved the enthusiasm and eagerness! I loved that someone WANTED to "Claim me" and provide this service. So, I came back the very next day, and MAN...was I pleased. I roll inside, and the same lady who had offered me a complimentary drink the day before remembers me, and offers me the same again, to enjoy during my service. I took her up on the offer, got my drink, and Avery took me right away back to the chair. I also want to mention that I appreciate when my being in a wheelchair is not seen as something to be afraid of - Avery was incredible in this area; He did not hesitate to offer to help me transfer in-to and out-of the barber chair, the barber chair itself was super-accessible, and I was extremely comfortable. And the services! I knew that this was going to be a service - I had no idea this was going to be an experience! Avery was very helpful in asking what I wanted - I showed him a picture, he asked a few other questions, and he checked in on me, making sure that everything was as I was expecting, regularly. And then came the moisturizing cream and cold towel...and the other creams and hot towel...and a clay mask and another hot towel! It was all an incredible service! all the while, Avery was informative, personable, friendly, and always checking on one me - whether it be about my service, or just to let me take a break and enjoy my complimentary drink! I am very pleased with my experience - so much so that I am, already, talking to friends and family about this place, AND, will be bringing a friend in to have a service as soon as I can. My teen daughter visited Hammer & Nails with her dad for a Daddy Daughter spa day. They really enjoyed their services and want to come back again. My husband had his beard trimmed and lined up while my daughter had a pedicure with a paraffin wax treatment. The products smelled so good that I bought the facial moisturizer for myself (it smells like oranges). Everything was clean and inviting in the shop. The chairs are soft leather and the décor is pretty swanky. They have televisions that you can watch during your appointments. There is also a bar to grab drinks with friends. They have some cool looking products that would make great gifts. The staff was warm and welcoming and checked my family in right away. No one cared that I wanted to take a bunch of pictures to capture their Daddy Daughter date. They also let me smell the products before buying them. This was such a fun experience. Best barbershop in town by far! From the moment we walked in to hammer and nails we were greeted and given a tour. Both my son and I got our haircut by Miguel and while I was waiting for Miguel to cut my son's hair, they offered me a drink. I then toured the rest of the barbershop and it is so much larger than you would think from just looking at it from the outside. They have a great Barber area in the front, going a little deeper they've got more of a salon area and then all the way in the back they have a hand and foot area where you can get Mani pedi, along with large screen, TVs and noise-canceling headphones. Let me tell you, I have received so many compliments about my haircut as well as my son. After the amazing haircut, and the straight razor shave on the back of my neck, they gave me a shampoo and a style and I was out there looking sharp.
