I called them back to see why my request was canceled, and they hung up on me without a response. I called AAA to get another towing company that will drive on a gravel road with grass. I will NOT be using Lucky 13 for any of my other tows!

A little hairy! I figured it was the alternator. I pulled into the gas station next to the Cracker Barrel for easy tow access. After unsuccessfully dealing with State Farm road assistance, I searched for a local tow company. K&K had excellent ratings and also has Golden Automotive Repair. I decided I have to trust someone other than my hometown mechanic with my 2008 Pontiac Solstice (it's my baby!), so, gave them a call. The girl who answered was friendly, understanding, and very knowledgeable. She had a truck to me in 30 minutes. This was around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon. By 8:30 the next morning, she called and said it was the serpentine chain and pulley; way better than being the alternator since no one had one, and they should have me ready by noon. Got the next call at 11:35 and she said she my car was ready and would pick me up in 10 minutes! The service was great and the price was right in line with what I expected for that repair. I was back on the road southbound for home! Highly recommend! Side note: The Sleep Inn at Exit 310 on I65 is VERY clean, newly remodeled, reasonably priced, with wonderful staff!

Well, I never thought I'd be writing a love letter to a towing company, but here we are. I called these guys after I accidentally hit a cow with my Tesla. Yes, you read that right - a cow. In my defense, it was a very ambitious cow, just minding its own business in the middle of the road. The Tesla did its best to warn me with flashing lights and gentle beeps, but alas, I'm not sure the cow was impressed with its 'high-tech' features. Anyway, I was stuck, flustered, and frankly, a little scared to explain this to my insurance. But these guys showed up faster than a cowboy chasing down a runaway steer. The driver not only towed my car but also gave me a pep talk that made me feel like I'd just won a NASCAR race. He even reassured me that cows aren't great at texting, so this wasn't my fault. Now, the *only* catch is that the grumpy old owner only takes cash. Yep, no credit cards, no Venmo, just good ol' fashioned cash. But honestly, it adds to the charm! It's like a little treasure hunt to find an ATM when you're already feeling like a mess. My Tesla may never be the same, but these folks treated it like royalty, fixed me up, and even suggested a better route to avoid any future bovine encounters.
