Five of us stopped in for breakfast. All of us were happy with the quality of the food. Hot, made well, delicious ingredients. Our server was attentive and kept our coffees full. We like to chat after our meal and our server made sure we had enough drinks while we hung out. The restaurant was pleasantly busy but not rushed, so we were relaxed enough to enjoy our time together. The decor is pleasant and bright. It was a real pleasure to eat there and I'm sure we will visit again.

NY Steak & 2 Eggs Breakfast but I change up my eggs to an omelette style and added a French toast on the side. Delicious

One of the best diner I had in Pennsylvania! Food is amazing. Service is a diner type service. I was happy I was able to adjust my order to all of my cravings.

As a diner it's nice and new, pleasant staff, and basic good food. Lots listed on the menu. Good value for price of what served. Very clean in dining area. Food usually arrives quickly too. Bathroom was a bit worn for being a newer diner. Desserts look wonderful but not ones with better high end ingredients. Just the basic dry, non-buttery and or fake whip cream items.

Food was pretty good. Chicken wings, soup, Cobb salad, eggs Benedict, all good. Would recommend. Needs a little renovation.

We ordered hamburgers that were large and delicious. Prices were great too. My two friends ask the waitress for extra Cole slaw because it was so good and she happily brought it. My only negative was the manager/owner (?) smelled of smoke.

We were met with a pleasant greeting to which we requested a booth by a window... Apparently I wasn't real clear because he brought us to a booth where I would be sitting next to a wall... Me moved one booth to fulfill our request: "by a window"... Things improved greatly from there... Our server was there taking our drink order before we even sat down... Very impressive... Drinks came within 30 seconds; then she took our order... I ordered 3 eggs scrambled soft, wheat toast dry, and the home fries that come with it... Wife ordered French Toast with powdered sugar... Couldn't believe it when breakfast came within a couple of minutes... This was fantastic... To top that... Everything tasted GREAT... EXCELLENT... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to the Sunshine Diner for most enjoyable experience...

I've heard great things about Dad's Garage, so I decided to check it out on a solo Friday night…read morewhen I was seriously craving a good burger. I was hoping all the hype was true and maybe I'd even find a new spot to add to my breakfast places to try list -- but, spoiler alert, I won't be doing that. Pulled in around 5pm and found parking (miracle, since there are only about 4 or 5 spots). Inside, I was greeted right away and told to seat myself. The specials board out front caught my eye, so I went with the bacon cheeseburger croissant, upgraded my fries to chili cheese fries, and grabbed a Diet Pepsi. I was the only dine-in customer, but there was a steady flow of pickup orders. Still, a 20-minute wait for my food felt long considering it was just me sitting there listening to FM radio straight out of an 80's prom (hello, Mr. Mister's "Broken Wings"...literally). When my food finally arrived, the staff immediately realized they'd forgotten the chili cheese on the fries and whisked them back to fix it -- good save! The chili itself? Fantastic. Like, "I-need-this-on-a-hot-dog" fantastic. The fries, though...yikes. Grease was literally pooling and dripping through the basket like a leaky oil pan. The burger was fine -- solid flavor, but the proportions were off. Giant tomato and onion slices took over the show, and the croissant was way too big for the small patty. Loved the croissant idea, just needs a smaller bun or a bigger burger. Ended up eating the patty and ditching the salad-sized toppings and half the croissant. The check was the real surprise: $12.99 for the burger, $2.49 for the Diet Pepsi, and another $2.99 for the chili cheese fry upgrade -- plus a mysterious "conveenience Fee (2.99%)" for $0.55. Maybe time to run spell check before charging extra, Dad. All in all with tip, $20+ for a burger that didn't quite live up to the hype. It hit the spot for a burger craving, but not enough to make me a regular. Glad I gave it a try -- it's got potential and a great location (even if parking is a tight squeeze). But honestly, it might be time for Dad to roll up his sleeves, give the menu a tune-up, and maybe double-check that receipt printer while he's at it. Bottom line: Cool concept, great chili, and 80s prom tunes -- but for $20+, I expected a little more horsepower under the hood.

Total came to approximately $16 (not including tip). What's hot - Menu. Very good variety. There's sandwiches, pastas, salads, gyros, omelets, even scrapple. I really like they serve breakfast all day. There appears to be something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans. - Quality. I appreciate that the food was not salty. You can tell they use frozen corn and heated it up, but the broccoli appeared and tasted fresh. - Service. I ordered takeaway and was told it would be ready for pick up when I arrived. When I asked how long that would take, the staffer responded about 15 minutes. That was the amount of time it took for me to get there. Sure enough, my order was already packaged and ready for pick up. They appear to cater to the traveling community and those who need their orders in a short amount of time. - Portions. Good value for money. Really good size portions. Definitely enough to get me full and to share with my husband. - Location. Easy to find and there's a decent size parking lot, which is helpful for larger vehicles, which I saw plenty of when I arrived. There's a decent size seating area, as well, with tables big enough to sit for parties larger than 4. What's not - Quality. It's not the most flavorful and delicious, but it's decent and reliable. - Location. Somewhat out of the way, because it's on the outskirts of Carlisle, but it's convenient for passersby. Final answer Willing to come back, but maybe not a first choice.
