Eggs, Wheat Toast , and Home Fries

We were seated within seconds of enter and the server took our drink order. Most impressive... Ordered eggs (scrambled soft) and wheat toast dry... Wife ordered French Toast and bacon... Everything was cooked to perfection... Additionally, everything tasted great... This is a fairly large diner... It was clean and well maintained... Also it was quite and peaceful... Most enjoyable... We would recommend a visit to start your day off right...

Pretty decent spot. Huge menu. Typical diner layout. Waitress was nice. Christmas tree year around is great.

    Greek Salad

A coworker and I stopped in for lunch mid week. The diner is large and spacious with good lighting and clean too. Looking for something I could cobble up as gluten-free, I opted for the Greek salad with grilled chicken. My coworker ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. The salad was huge! Another customer nearby asked what I had ordered. It was a bowl of romaine and iceberg salad with tons of mild feta, olives, cucumber and probably a whole pepper sliced up. The chicken was tender and almost shredded. Flavorful, fresh crunch and not over salted. The Greek dressing was mild and delicious. My coworker's Monte Cristo platter was also what he considered excellent. The service was fast and friendly. I would certainly recommend this diner to anyone based on my 1st experience.

Never been here before. It looked busy and like a nice place to eat, so we went there. It took a bit to get my coffee, but I survived. My chicken was a bit over done, but not bad, and they gave me a partial credit. Overall, the girls were nice, friendly, and we would return, if we were in the area.

Home style comfort food. This place is very nice. They have a large menu and homemade desserts. The turkey dinner with stuffing was quite Hardy. It comes with soup or salad and two sides of your choice. It's a lot of food and was under 15 dollars.

Yep in For brunch fri end of March 2019 after work at dealership. I had the baked Haddock sandwich, side salad with ranch and chips. Now the fish was yummy but I took it off my bun. It was a HUGE hamburger bun. Just too much. Cocktail sauce and my fish was great. Ate my pickle and small coleslaw. I took the lettuce from my fish and made more of my salad plate! Hee hee. I love their homemade ranch ... so buttermilky. Bf had the dinner Greek salad. We did ask for the dinner rolls too. Then the sliced carrots they put on the salads here... asked for a small bowl of those with my left over ranch. Delish as usual. Thanx! Yes can u tell .. one of our haunts!! It's aug '19. Luckily today ( after sleeping in the lot) we just missed the bus load! They were just boarding yeah!! Came in for a nice leisurely breakfast with great coffee. It's the Carlisle Truck show this wknd. So it's a bit busier but I'll tell ya the food still comes out perfect!! The cooks back there are seasoned veterans boy!! Today I wanted their fantastic eggs Bene cause I love it so much. This and one other place ( in FL) are my favs. It's always perfect and NEVER have I had a wrong poached egg!! I'm a stickler about the perfect poached egg ( see pix). Bf actually HAD a breakfast today. Chopped steak n eggs. Yum. Our server is Morgan today. She is very pleasant and u fazed with how busy it was

We visit this diner once a year. Food is good and staff is friendly. It could be a bit cleaner and updated but I still enjoy our visits.

He scarfed down two of them and a good bit of an order of french fries. You can also get hotchee-burgers which I have yet to try. While I enjoy the toppings on the hotchees, that's a bit too much food for me on a day where we have an all evening outing at a far off baseball field. I will say, I love the fries here. Not only are they golden brown, hot, bite-sized,... they don't put too much salt on them!!! They taste amazing! I was trying to eat a little healthier so I ordered a house salad (i think - it's the one with kalamatas and feta) and it was great! The house greek dressing is wonderful, not too much not too little. Lettuce and tomatoes super fresh. I like the layout too--it feels accessible for all as I watched a wheelchair be pushed through. The middle of the afternoon is surprisingly peaceful and pleasant between lunch and dinner rushes. The big windows display the weather outside. It started raining not long after we got there and ceased before we left. Staff is helpful, kind, courteous and friendly, especially to each other. There are many desserts on display... But we were full! Multiple fruit pies and rice pudding. For those who don't know, the Hamilton began sponsoring our NYE events a few years ago. I'm extremely grateful for what they've invested into the community, though they were already a huge staple of our town. I don't venture out to this part of town and eat here enough, but as long as my son has a say, we're always going to come back here!

Walk inside and staff will immediately greet you and walk you to a seat inside what feels like an old school diner. To eat, I ordered their chili hot dog with cheese. It comes with two on buns and a side. The cole slaw was a gentle compliment to such a heavy meal. To drink, I ordered their cherry Coke. They make it themselves with Coca Cola and cherry syrup. One thing worth noting is that it's cash only. There's an ATM inside, but it didn't work for me. The staff were trusting enough to let me go to another one and come back to settle my bill.

My sadly discontinued faves were the chicken salad salad - a large green salad with a scoop of chicken salad and a hunk of blueberry muffin, and grilled (or was it broiled? haddock. I lie the grits at most CBs but they tend to be watery in Carlisle. The house salad, an up-graded side, is huge, crisp, and delicious, highly recommend. I also love love the broccoli cheese casserole, but at the CB in Mechanicsburg it was mostly cracker topping. We used o always sit family for Thanksgiving but that is no longer possible so we've bee can do without their stuffing and I need far far more grave and cranberry sauce. And please ditch the horrible overcooked green beans! Im sure they are popular, but I won't touch green beans unless they are obviously thin French beans, barely steamed so they are still bright green.
