This remodel puts the Hampton In. At the top of the heap of what I call a traveler hotel. Phenomenal service, the staff is super friendly and the lady handling the breakfast every morning is an absolute machine. Now would I eat that nasty breakfast, no! But people line up like pigs in a trough to devour it so who and I to say anything and about it. It's in the perfect location near the fwy and gets you out of NASTY downtown. I drove through the skid row and it was a crazy scene of drugs and chaos. PS watch out for the locals in often trucks especially with Idaho plates. I thought I was going to get run down multiple times by a hillbilly redneck. God bless. read more

This hotel was decent 10 years ago but now it's trash. I went down to tell the front desk idiots that my shower didn't work and they just laughed and said a pipe had burst. I asked about compensation for my inconvenience and they said there was no management on site so they couldn't help me. Meanwhile the short and slow front desk guy was staring me down, like he was trying to provoke a physical altercation, which I would welcome with open arms. Used towel hanging on the back of the door in our bathroom, the rest of the room was filthy. I walked out the end of the building and seen someone's company work truck had the windows busted out and was robbed. The valley has gone down hill,, don't stay at that Sh## hole unless you like abuse, filth and ripped off. read more

So we stayed at the Hampton for a volleyball tournament. Very pricy as we know they raise the prices when there are events. Clean hotel, spacious room. The issue I had is with Diane. I simply called the front desk to say we did not need our room serviced, however we did need some supply's (towels, toilet paper and trash bag liners). She immediately had the WORST attitude like I was bothering her. I don't see a problem when I'm paying over $300 a night and tell you, you don't have to service my room. She should have graciously said, "no problem" and sent the items up. Sick of people treating you any kind of way. Customer service remediation would be appropriate for Diane!!! Stayed here for a few days and the room was clean and spacious! Each morning the continental breakfast was delicious, catered well, clean and offered plenty of breakfast options. Staff was friendly, courteous and friendly and we were also able to hang out in the lobby with our own beers and watch TV with friends. Several local eateries are within walking distance of hotel so you do not have to drive. read more

If I got to give this a title I would say "It's Fine". It's your run of the mill chain hotel. Out of the way but close to the mall so shopping and food are easy access. Staff was kind , parking was easy. "Complimentary" breakfast was good if you are a carb lover! Muffins, waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit. There was one premade egg frittata. We stayed in a double queen. Beds were firm enough, shampoos and such were basic. Complaints: the TV channel options in this day and age were non exist and old school in that there is no real on TV guide. The remote sucked. The room smelled faintly of stink bugs. Other things to know: the pool is much smaller than pics lead you to believe (though the kids still had fun) and the pool area is small so even as a spectator you are likely getting wet. In the lobby, There is coffee available all day but no water station. There is a little panty with lots of options but I wanted my water cold and free. Finally if you are a smell sensitive person (as I am), I just generally struggled with the scent of the hotel In conclusion, it's fine! read more

The hotel looks nicely updated inside. Unfortunately, the renovation dollars must have gone strictly to furnishings, and not structural. We just spent a sleepless night there because the rooms are so poorly insulated--absolutely no soundproofing from outside or between floors. With interstate road noise and a neighbor above us that arrived in their room sometime close to midnight, and left at 4 am, it was unbearable. We could hear every restroom visit and movement from the room above us. Add to that a very lumpy mattress, with a 10 lb coverlet and sheets that were so worn they wouldn't stay on the bed, it made for a miserable night. We stay in Hilton hotels more than 25 nights a year and this ranks as one of the worst. For $300 a night, we expect a bit more. read more

I'm here on business and normally I wouldn't choose a Hampton Inn but there weren't many options in the Spokane Valley that I could choose from. This is conveniently close to where I needed to be, so close I could walk. And it is close to I-90 and the Spokane Valley Mall is conveniently located nearby. The lobby is clean and inviting with some modern touches. They have a decent fitness area with an indoor pool. There's also a free breakfast buffet, but the food is typical continental breakfast-type stuff and some hot foods like scrambled eggs and sausage. The rooms are pretty decent sized with typical hotel amenities. My room was one of the smaller ones with a hidden closet behind the mirror and a large bathroom. There was no refrigerator or microwave in my room. A nice bonus is that the Centennial Trail, which runs along side the Spokane River, is right across the street with easy access. You'll see walkers, runners, cyclists, etc... Overall, I like the Hampton Inn at Spokane Valley. If I'm ever in the area on business again, I'd probably book a room here. It would be 4 stars, but since there was no fridge or microwave, I deducted 1 star. read more

Worst night sleep I've ever had. Cheapest hardest uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on, a couch would have been much better. Room smelled like cat pee. HVAC unit cover was busted, window was busted letting air in and out from trying to be pried open (they're sealed shut) pillows were lumpy and hard. Other people who I talked to at the pool (which had so much chlorine I couldn't smell right for an hour after just being in the air and my eyes were burning) had issues with their rooms as well. Wall outlets not installed correctly (at angles) and surfaces had dust all over. Double queen room. $240 a night. Breakfast was ok, only reason I'll give it two stars. Find somewhere else. read more

My son and I arrived to the Hampton Inn & Suites around 8pm and the front desk greeted us as we entered. They said my name and knew it was me arriving. I showed my ID and credit card and was quickly given access to our room. While checking in I asked about upgrading to a room with a fridge, the lady at the desk said all their rooms have fridges. I was a bit confused because the website showed different information about refrigerators. I wonder if that was recently changed? The hotel is very newly renovated or built. Everything was very clean and well kept. Our room was no exception, everything very updated, nice, and clean. My son and I slept well and were very comfortable. We went downstairs in the morning and had breakfast. The spread was very nice, typical hotel breakfast. My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Spokane Valley for three nights in July 2021. The recently redecorated hotel is very nice. The decor in the public areas as well as in our room was very tasteful and comfortable. All of the hotel front desk staff members with whom we interacted were friendly, welcoming and helpful. While we were there we even received a couple of text messages from our check-in desk attendant, Oleg, checking to make sure that we were satisfied and asking if we needed anything. We appreciated his courtesy. Likewise, the food preparers in the complimentary breakfast area are attentive and courteous. We found our room well-insulated; we did not hear noise from any of the adjoining rooms. Our beds were reasonably firm, the bathroom was clean, and the room was spacious. We're glad we stayed at this Hampton Inn. read more

Truly disappointing. We were charged twice for our stay. Our card was run and the clerk insisted it did not go through so they made us run it again which resulted in a duplicate charge. They said and continue to say there is nothing they can do about it and that the bank can fix it. We heard so many different things from customer service about how it would drop off in a few hours, that it had happened to others (we found out it was just us). Anyway they have held up $500 dollars of our money and take no responsibility for fixing it. It tainted our weekend and now 5 days later it's still not fixed. And we have a printed receipt from our stay which is $40. 00 higher than the charge reflecting on our account. At this point it feels like we were scammed. We even went to the general manager who also said they couldn't do anything to help us. She had stopped returning our emails and calls. This has been a total hassle getting them to return our money. The cleanliness of the room was also an issue. We had what looked like feces/blood stains on the sheets and the bedding did not look like it was changed between guests so we requested another room which also had smaller stains on the sheets. They do not do daily cleaning you have to request it. Our key kept resetting we had to go to the lobby 4 times because we could not get into our room. Beds were not comfortable. Pros - Breakfast was nice with lots of standard hotel options. The ac worked well. The staff were generally friendly but not helpful in our situation. GM could not be bothered to help us. She just sent an email saying she was sorry it happened. It's very frustrating having to resolve a mistake they made and to have our money gone for days. We two ladies booked a room with queen double beds six weeks before our trip and prepaid for the room. Upon arrival we discovered our room had been given away. So the 2 of us, almost strangers, were given a king room with a pullout couch! My husband just died and no way could I sleep with another person now - especially someone I barely know. This property has many PROs and we'll list them below: ...very new, all of the infrastructure - from lobby to breakfast room to exercise room to guest rooms are clean and current which means they are also accessible for people of all physical abilities ...the friendliest, most accommodating desk staff and management.. Our reservations were hosed up twice - both directions of the stay - and they bent over backwards to apologize and make it right. ...the breakfasts are good for what they are - a hotel free breakfast. I say this as someone who typically doesn't even eat that stuff...but there are healthy options here too - something for everyone. ...very convenient to the freeway and to downtown. Now the CONs: ...close to the freeway means a little noisy in the rooms from the traffic. You can't have everything. ...word is getting out about how good a value this is, room rates and quality compared to the competition, and they're sometimes full. Now TIPS: ...given this is just a few freeway minutes from downtown and Spokane proper, you can find good eats there rather than at the local mall places. ...what Mark B said - visit the downtown Riverfront Park - an amazing place. ...check out Latah Creek Winery, just a couple of miles up the road from the hotel, for wine tasting in the lovely tasting room. ...if you're on way to CDA (Coeur d'Alene) stop at Rosa's Italian Market and Deli in Post Falls for breakfast, Italian cookies, sandwiches at lunch or Italian specialties to take home. Highly recommend this property to any road weary warriors or tourists! Front desk will give good restaurants to visit based on type of food. I booked rooms here for a group for my daughters soccer tournament. From the initial email to check prices to the last day checking out, everything went smoothly. The rooms were nice, good sized, clean, and the hotel is newer. They provided a decent standard complimentary breakfast, and they had a big lobby area for the team to hang out in and play games in the evening. The pool was little but fine for the little kids. The hotel is in a great area where there is a lot of shopping and restaurants but easy on and off the freeway. Amazingly enough I didnt hear any traffic from my room though. All employees we encountered were helpful and very nice. One bummer was that we booked 12 rooms and supposedly got a discount on rooms but someone who came at last minute booked their room online for 20.00 cheaper. I didn't really appreciate that and that is why they are losing a star. read more

It's all about the details. No newspaper offered in the morning. Staff started putting away breakfast 20 min early. Shower knob was stuck, so when I finally yanked it on, I got a freezing blast of water. It was hard to shut off, too. Room towels are thin, and the towels in the gym room are super worn out, even transparent in spots. Hair blow dryer's high mode is the strength of a better quality dryer's low setting, so it took twice as long to dry my hair. The nearest electrical outlet didn't work. Bedside clock time was set an hour ahead. Hamptons usually offer free cookies at check-in. This one doesn't do the cookies on fr, sat or Sundays. I would give this 4 stars if the staff was a little more friendlier. I had actually booked this room through Expedia, spacing that my husband and is a Hilton Honors Rewards member. When he checked in, he asked for waters and was informed that he could not get any because the room was booked through Expedia. I understand protocol but it just doesn't seem like very good customer service. I had also booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children and we were put in a tiny, corner room with one king bed and no pull out bed. Luckily we had our pack n play for one kid and the other one slept with us. I've never seen such a small room before at a Hampton Inn and it seemed like it would be difficult for someone in a wheelchair to get around, despite it being labeled as an accessible room. Overall, it was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The breakfast options did not seem as good as other locations we have been at either so we didn't really utilize that option. read more

Nicest staff I've ever met in many years of traveling. Super friendly, extra helpful, cracking jokes... the kitchen staff went above and beyond for me at breakfast, the night staff gave us extra time in the hot tub when we came in late and chilled. Front desk manager gave another couple's fussy toddler an extra sucker so he could "have one for both hands!" I like to sit in the lobby over coffee and people watch, and everything I saw says that this hotel staff enjoys working together and keeping guests comfortable. Highly recommend. We had a very nice stay. The rooms were extremely neat and clean. I liked the extra touches such as a sanitizing wipe on the remote control and bathroom essentials. The decor was beautiful. Tis' a shame, Hilton doesn't have anyone to catch simple 'stupid' errors. Curved shower curtain rods are intended to increase shoulder room in the tub/shower not decrease it! If only these came with instructions but wait they do, all that is required is to read them before installation, perhaps they weren't in Spanish. Placing the tiny fluorescent light fixture 2 feet above the mirror, while providing ample illumination for checking for cobwebs, fails to provide adequate lighting for something many men have to do, at that very mirror, like shaving. I was able to locate a YouTube video to show me how to turn the PTAC air conditioner fan on, for that needed white noise to overcome the cheap windows that absorb all of the traffic noise and funnel it into the hotel room. I did request a room near the elevator on the quiet side of the hotel. Not sure why I got the room the farthest from the elevator, yep long end of the hallway, on the Interstate highway side of the hotel. Could have been because the A/C wasn't working in the first room. T-stat was set on 72 but it was closer to 85. Towels are on the very low end of cheap. Although Hilton has a line of good quality towels available to properties, looks like this one got the blue light specials. Paid for a "Suite", got a little bit larger single room, definitely not a suite! Room doors are set to slam closed so whomever gets up first in the morning can make sure everyone else is awake prior to their alarm going off. Although I have been Diamond with Hilton for years I still never find a great room at Hampton Inn, sometimes you are just stuck with what is available. Still better than Wyndham, Marriott and Intercontinental. read more

Great place to bring your kids!!!! Visiting Silverwood amusement park with kids and picked this location 45 min away since it was much less expensive. Great idea!!! The staff was awesome! Rooms are clean and well cared for. Fridge & microwave was great for restaurant leftovers. Breakfast is always good at Hampton. Pool room was heated so you wanted to jump right in and didn't freeze when you got out. Overall, excellent experience. One reviewer complained of no closet- he obviously never checked behind the mirrored closet door. read more

Just average. Everything looks relatively new. Didn't care for the room odor. Smells like over dried laundry. It's a very distinct odor. Now I need to sleep in it. Argh. This seems like a very new hotel. The room we had was large and very nice. It was very quiet - we didn't hear anyone at all - and the hotel was full! The person at the front desk was very pleasant. Breakfast was quite a bit better than standard fare. Quite a wide variety, including waffles -my husband's favorite. Over all, an extremely pleasant visit. We will be sure to stop here again if we are in the area. read more
