We traveled across state for a college graduation and had 8 rooms based on family. The rooms are an assortment of suites with king, double queens and 1 bedroom options with either a king or double queens. Since our family is a variety of ages, the rooms weee great for social gatherings across the rooms. Each room also has a microwave and mini fridge. They offer a free breakfast and evening cocktail for your stay, which was an added treat. The hotel sits on the river and Java access to nature walking travel along the river. We saw a bald eagle and a marmot (had to Google that one lol). They have a small gym which was enough for me and I used the treadmill each morning. The kids loved the pool and hot tub, which is indoors and they even have a steam room! read more

We had a pleasant overnight at this pet-friendly hotel. It's a nice location, right on the river and close to the mall for shopping and restaurants. The premium double queen room was spacious and quiet. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The evening "social" is pretty lackluster. There is a bar for free beer, wine, or well drinks which is nice, but the salad was pretty sad. Breakfast in the morning was fine. This was my first time staying at the Oxford Suites Spokane Valley. The room itself was fine and appeared clean, although I did find clothing left behind by a previous guest under a table, which was concerning. The king bed lacked support and noticeably sagged when lying down, making for an uncomfortable sleep. The hotel does offer some nice amenities, such as a nightly alcoholic or non-alcoholic refreshment and a hot breakfast, which I appreciated. However, I was traveling for business and needed to print a document. When I inquired at the front desk about a business center, the staff member pointed me to an iPad in the lobby. When I asked if there was any way to print, I was told no--and the response came with little interest or effort to assist. Unfortunately, due to the lack of business support and the overall experience, I don't plan to stay here again when visiting Spokane for work. read more

My son and mother stayed here last night and they got about four hours of sleep the whole entire night because of all the noise , from a woman screaming to a bunch of other super loud noise !!! They couldn't bare stay there the second night she pre paid for for she is 83 years old !! They refused to refuND ANY OF her money fOR the second night she did not stay THERE !!! Often a good stay. Everything looks nice but it's not been renovated in the 10 years that we have been coming. They only do housekeeping upon request (low staff) so unless you ask, they won't even come to your room. I wish the buffet had a few more fresh options and more flavors of pastries but overall it's great for the price (Free!). Appreciate the free cocktail at the evening reception. My bathroom did have several long hairs on the floor that we're definitely not ours but I know it's tough being a housekeeper these days. We choose this property because they have a one bedroom suite with two separate bathrooms, which is hard to find. read more

I stayed in this hotel few times through out the years for business. The last time I stayed was between January 8 and 10, 2024. This time the stay was terrible, first they gave me a room with non-functioning heater then I changed a room then no tea or any water in the room. When I ask for tea bag they told me they don't have any. They never cleaned my room for the whole stay. I will never stay in this hotel again. read more

Pet friendly always makes me happy. This hotel is super clean and conveniently located to some of my favorite shopping (and the mall). Staff was great upon arrival and check in. The breakfast was FANTASTIC...but a bit weird trying to locate. You have to take the elevator downstairs and it kind of feels like you are in a hole or in a corner. Been coming here for a several years now to take in a local art festival - and each year, this hotel has become increasingly disappointing. First let me say the property is WAY overdue for a renovation. I don't think the hotel has undergone any real upgrades for many years. The carpet is now beyond dirty and stained - and to say the decor is dated would be an understatement. But what really got me this trip is how inconsiderate and unprofessional the staff has gotten. Aside from not being very friendly as we checked in and not being very happy that we declined a room next to an exit door that slams every couple minutes, they really have left this Covid pandemic way behind. Now, I get this is Spokane, and masking is not a "thing" anymore (despite the area's high outbreak numbers), but when our microwave dies and we need a replacement, the only guy on staff that night shows up and expects to just cruise into our room maskless. (We have an immunocompromised family member so we asked that he wear a mask before coming in.) Unfortunately he said sorry, I have no mask, then just left the microwave at our door and walked away. Never mind we had no idea how to move heavy furniture out in order to plug it in. Regardless of your feelings or personal politics, when a customer requests that people entering their room during a pandemic wear a mask, it should not be seen as an unreasonable request. Nor should it be a surprising request for public facing hotel staff. And gone are the supposed evening "manager's receptions" they tout- at least on Sundays and Mondays. So depending on the day you show up, that amenity could also be a major bust. So... not sure where we might go next. There are more hotels being built in the area. I will give this hotel kudos for being pet-friendly, which is what attracted us to this hotel in the first place. But something's gotta change to bring us back again. read more

Stayed here while I was attending a training with my husband. The location is a little hard to get to because I was not familiar with the area. It is located across the street from a shopping mall and a shopping strip. Lots of traffic and busy most of the day as well. However, the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, we had a nice, clean room and the rooms were quiet. We also had the salad and soup dinner one night and were pleasantly surprised with how fresh the food was. Great place to stay, excellent service and some great breakfast included! read more

I visited Oxford Suites while on vacation. I was at the Spokane Valley, WA Oxford Suites Aug. 18-20, 2022. I requested cleaning service every day of my stay. I was told "due to Covid restrictions" housekeeping staff did not clean every day. I replied I did not see any staff wearing masks, guests were not required to wear masks, and there was no social distancing. This was a lie on the part of the corporate management. The concierge did not apologize. Housekeeping did clean one day. The housekeeping staff and kitchen were friendly and helpful. The front desk staff were rude and not helpful. You need to hire more full-time housekeeping staff so cleaning rooms can occur every day. You need to increase salaries and offer benefits to retain staff. read more

I have been staying at this particular Oxford Suites for 3 years because it is close to the Valley Mall. The bus for Bloomsday picks up at the mall. For the first 2 years there was a nice man who worked at the front desk who would give a little bit of wiggle room on check out. As long as there were other rooms to clean before yours, you didn't get charged. This year they charged me $50 at noon for being late. While I understand the rule needs to be in place so that the housekeepers aren't stuck working late, if there are other rooms to clean of people who have checked out, why charge people who are a little late? Regardless of the policy, I will never again be staying here. The lady at the front desk was particularly rude. She didn't even look me in the face as I was talking to her. If you're staying on Bloomsday weekend, do not stay here. If you want to be treated like a human and be looked in the eyes while you're being charged an outrageous amount, do not stay here. I will be advising all of my friends and family who travel for this event the same thing. read more

Pros: Free drinks (beer, wine, sodas), a solid breakfast, great location by the river and mall. Cons: The family suite is located on the 3rd floor and there are no safety locks on either window. A child can easily open the window and push the screen out and fall right out. I told Carol at the front desk about this. She said, "I can't even open the window myself, and there is a screen". The screen is for bugs, not for people. These windows are a huge safety issue and could easily be solved for a few dollars per window. The least the management could do would be to give us a heads up when we checked in and let us know that the windows can be easily opened and screens pushed out. I have never stayed in a hotel where the windows don't have safety locks on above the 1st floor. Additionally our room wasn't cleaned (we were gone from 730-1230, but came back for naps). The cleaning lady was 2 doors down on her phone. It took two calls to get some fresh towels and our garbage taken out. The maintenance lady who came was extremely nice. I don't expect the hotel to make everything childproof, however I think the safety of a family suite is well below par. read more

We travel to Spokane 2x a year and have stayed at a variety of places. It's a bit of a challenge as we have a larger family and like to bring our dog along, too. Oxford is our new favorite place and we've stayed there a handful of times. The hotel is conveniently located by the mall and many food and drink options. They have a great room set up that works well for our family of 6. Main room has bathroom and two queen beds and sitting area, then a small bedroom with a king size bed for the parents. I'm not 100% sure, but I think all the ground level floors are dog friendly. Our visit over New Years showed that they'd updated the rooms with carpeting, new furniture, and art since our last visit which was a nice surprise. The pool area is always clean and I appreciate the small store to buy snacks. The free breakfasts are ok. I mean, its free... so yeah :) My only complaint is that the rooms can be kinda noisy with the HVAC and plumbing noise. Overall, this is a good hotel for our needs and we will continue to stay there in the foreseeable future. read more

Nice hotel - clean and comfortable with nice sized rooms and great showers. Hot breakfast, evening reception and free drink coupons were great amenities. Also a nice pool area. We didn't give it a higher rating because of a few annoying things. The bathroom sink is in the bedroom which makes it hard for one person to be getting dressed with one asleep. And the shower/toilet room is quite small. The HVAC system only allows for the fan to be on or off. It ran the entire first night (on medium cool) - drying out our sinuses. read more

The place is clean. Very disappointed in our stay. We paid extra to stay at the Oxford Suites on evening of July 4 because we were looking forward to the traditional drink coupons in the bar, and possibly some food, after a long drive. When we got there, we were told the lounge was closed due to it being a holiday and they wanted to give employees off. We had to spend a lot of bucks to eat at a nearby restaurant (most of which are expensive chains). The employees at the restaurant were working. Furthermore, I could not get several channels I wanted on the cable TV (i.e. CNN, etc.); message said channels were unavailable. I called the reception desk and they acted very unconcerned; said they couldn't do anything about it. read more

Um, it's just ok for the price. They do the sales job on the pricing by stating they have "free dinner bufet and breakfast. Dinner "buffet" is potato salad, soup and salad. Decent, but breakfast was similar to other hot breakfasts, like at La Quinta. ALSO, they charge a pet fee...but here's a question: What does that cover? I am pretty sure it does not cover treatments for fleas from previous pets, cuz my kitty came home with bites all over her. read more

So I was in the processing of moving to a new place last weekend in the middle of this Covid19, I wanted a place to stay while i was in transition and getting things organized. I thought immediately of this Hotel as it is located in the valley(where I was moving to) and i could go walking along the river when i wanted to relax. I had a River-view room which was pretty awesome to wake up to, as well as a really comfortable king size bed. Staff (Dawn, Amanda, James & Cindy) they were wonderful and very accommodating for me. It made me feel relaxed knowing who I would be greeted by (like family). i had a bottle of wine and my bottle opener was packed they found one for me to use to open my wine to enjoy my nights there. I would have went to the bistro to have my wine but until this is over it was closed. Thanks to the staff.. they really are amazing out there. read more

The hotel is nice, it's clean and well maintained; morning breakfast and the staff that work at the breakfast room are wonderful. We had a king size river front room on the 4th floor which was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Con: not too long after we checked in, I was trying to take a nap and heard knocking across the hall - then a woman called out 'housekeeping' and I hear the door open and the woman exclaimed 'Oh my goodness, I didn't realize the room was occupied, I am SO sorry'. Door slams. 5 seconds later a knock on our door, same voice calls out 'housekeeping' and door is immediately opened by her - I think my husband ran to the door and had a few choice words, but this is the first time this has EVER happened to me anywhere. I had read in a review somewhere regarding this hotel that the same thing happened to someone else, I just thought it was sour grapes, but no, it actually did happen again - to us. What an invasion of privacy! The front desk staff, after initial check-in, was pretty unfriendly and unprofessional. And there is no business center as marked in several places at the hotel (elevators, 1st floor) - it now consists of a very small i-pad sized screen in the lobby with no keyboard, no printer, etc. The screen was filthy - wouldn't touch it. For the price we paid, this was a GREAT place to stay. We chose this specific hotel for its location-- right across from the Valley Mall, in a nicer part of town. We didn't want to worry about our cars getting broken into in the middle of the night. My mother and I made our reservation at about 1pm on the day-of. We arrived at 5pm to check-in. The lobby was small, yet cozy. I found the people at the desk to be professional and friendly. There were fresh cookies right on the desk, though I didn't try one. We were given tickets for a complimentary breakfast as well as two complimentary adult beverages or soft drinks at their "Bistro", which is in the breakfast nook area. Our room was on the main level, which is the second floor. The location of the room was perfect-- nice and quiet, with a nice little view of the river. Our room had one king and a small couch, desk, LCD TV, microwave, and mini-fridge. We did not hear any noise from other guests. The bed was very comfortable and had great pillows. Shower had nice water pressure, and the complimentary toiletries were a nice change from my usual stuff. Didn't use the hot tub or pool, but they looked very nice.This is also a pet-friendly hotel, though you wouldn't know from the smell inside (smells clean, no perfumes, no pet odors). There are a lot of grassy areas outside for Fido to use and there are complimentary doodoo bags available outside for your convenience. There were only a couple disappointments: the Bistro (kinda a joke as far as ambiance goes), and the Breakfast "Buffet". As a carb-conscious person, there weren't too many options for me. I was expecting a little more than ham (bleh) and scrambled eggs as my only options. Not even water?!? There was also oatmeal, french toast, a few kinds of fruit, and a plethora of juices for you non-carb-counters. And most of the stuff is not self-serve... Despite the food/bar being a let-down, this is still a great place to stay. This will be our go-to place to stay when we have our mini getaways. read more

The experience at Oxford Suites seems to depend on the location. We originally chose the one in Boise because it was the halfway point on our trip that also took dogs, we were hooked and always use it for that trip. Tried another Oxford Suites in California and it was essentially a run down motel with some paint. So this trip we needed another halfway point that took dogs and thought it might be a gamble with Spokane Valley. Good gamble. As with the hotel in Boise, you don't get the smelly urine soaked carpet room for your dog, the room is nice and comfortable with spacious bathrooms, and dogs are welcome all over the grounds and the hotel. When you treat dog owners this way, you don't get the obnoxious folks that let the dogs run everywhere and create noise and havoc. Everyone is happy to be welcomed here that they are responsible and kind. You'd never know there are dogs staying here- no noise, no poop on the nice grass out front, etc. And they really are very welcoming and friendly here. Kids burn off their 6 hour car ride in the pool, Lots of space for the pup to do the same. Everyone wants to say hi to the dog and they smile at the kids. There is a bike rack out front full of bikes for the guests to use if they want to bike along the Centennial Trail. read more

This is probably my favorite hotel. Anywhere. Ever. It's a great value. I've stayed at this Oxford Suites about four or five times when travelling to the area for work. It's very conveniently located to anything important in Spokane Valley. It's clean, the service is outstanding, it's located right on the Spokane river trail, and the extra touches such as free drinks every evening are really nice. The dining area has a large outdoor seating area, so you can sit outside on nice days and watch rabbits come and go down by the river. It's a really nice place to eat your breakfast. If you're a runner, you'll love the paved trail that runs along the river here. It's a peaceful place to walk or run, and I was even told that the hotel has bikes that you can check out for free. There are plenty of dining choices within walking distance, although Spokane Valley isn't exactly a restaurant hot spot. The beds are comfortable, and the overall atmosphere here is quiet and cozy. I've been to fancier hotels, but this hotel has fantastic bang for the buck. I always look forward to staying here. read more

This is my second stay in this hotel and both times I have had a decent experience. The lounge has a decent happy hour, from what I have heard. Alas, I have not been able to partake due to my work obligations when I stay in Spokane. Breakfast is offered only until 9am, which is unfortunate for those of us who are late sleepers. Nearby attractions such as the Spokane River and the mall on Indiana offer plenty of dining and recreation ideas. I will continue to stay in this hotel when I am in town. I stayed at this location in July of 2017, and enjoyed my stay. The room was adequate, and the complimentary breakfast and happy hour drinks were a nice bonus. However-- The hotel management has proven unscrupulous. I was double charged for my stay, and after making two phone calls to the hotel during the summer, plus a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau in early October, it is now the end of October and the overcharge has still not been rectified. Stayed here recently for a leisure trip with the family to Silverwood Theme Park. Booked 2 nights with high expectations based off reviews and their site. 1. Paid $243/night for a "Luxurious Well Appointed Room". It needs a huge update and renovation. It was NOT at all luxurious or well appointed. Upon entering the room, it reeked of mildew. Dingy carpet with one 2 seat eating area, a dresser and small TV. Bedding was average with beds advertised as "queens" but felt more like full sized beds being super uncomfortable. 2. The shower was an odd walk straight in from the tile style. No real splash guard so of course the entire bathroom flooded. The shower head was a handheld shower head. Was no more than 5' 3" at the highest. The options to shower were to shower with one hand holding the shower head above my head or crouching to bathe hands free. I'm 5'7" so I was crouching to wash my hair. Worst showers of my life. 3. Included breakfast was average continental breakfast with a few extra add ons like fresh scrambled eggs, potato bites, and sausage links. We opted out of eating there again the 2nd day and decided to get breakfast at a better establishment elsewhere. All in all, for the price they charge per night, I would have expected FAR better for a hotel located in Spokane Valley. Next time I will take our business elsewhere in downtown where I can get a nicer room at a much better rate. We are from Seattle. This is comparable to a 2 star hotel in Seattle for the price of a 4-5 star hotel you would get in Seattle for the same price. Unless you have a great discount to stay here, take your money and run! Due to a family emergency, we (family with two kids and a dog) had to stay here during the virus shelter-in-place order. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful and made our stay as comfortable as possible under very difficult circumstances. Though not fancy, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and a great value. Super location right on the Spokane River with easy, immediate access to the Centennial Trail along the river's edge.
