I stayed here for two nights while on a work trip. My company booked the hotel and paid for the accommodations, which appealed to me since that meant I didn't have to track on an expense report. I arrived a little early, about 1:30pm and went to the counter. I was told they did not have any rooms available yet and they suggested I return about 3pm. When I returned, I was asked if I wanted a room on the ground floor, to which I replied that it did not matter. There wasn't any further conversation but I was then given keys to a room on the third floor. I did not attempt to use a digital key on this visit. This Hampton Inn appears to be physically connected to another Hilton property. After a quick look online, it appears the "Hilton" portion of the property is a level or two above the Hampton class of properties. Therefore, prices at the Hilton property are more expensive than those at the Hampton property. I think I must have been in an older section of the Hampton hotel. My room did not have a refrigerator and there were definite signs of major wear even though there appear to be attempts to make improvements. I honestly cannot remember the last time I stayed in any hotel that did not have a small refrigerator in the room. I ended up throwing out my leftover pizza because I could not keep it cold. The bathroom had significant signs of wear including rust on the ceiling and paint was peeling in several areas. The frame of the bathroom door was also rusting. Most of the USB ports and outlets on the furniture/lamps were too worn and did not charge my phone or computer. I plugged my computer directly in the wall to charge it and I plugged my phone into the outlet by the bed to get it to charge. On the second night I wanted to have some cold soda and a water for in the morning. I went to the ice machine on the third floor, it did not work. I went to the ice machine on the second floor, it did not work. I went to the ice machine on the ground floor and it worked. I guess third time is a charm. I thought the breakfast was good for a hotel. Both days they had a nice selection of options: Waffles, oatmeal, a potato option, bread, bagels, English muffins, meat (one day patty sausage, one day sliced link sausage), eggs (one day flat muffin style egg, meat, cheese, one day omelet style egg and cheese). I made a bagel breakfast sandwich each day before heading off to work which hit the spot. I also purchased a Coke from the lobby. I was surprised to find out it was $5.00. I stay at Hilton properties every time I book a hotel that one is available. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it. I am sure there are better options.

I am so utterly disgusted by my stay in Parsippany that I can't even believe that this property is within the Hilton portfolio. Came here with my daughter after a really long drive. From the moment I entered the elevator, I knew I was in the wrong place. The elevator is downtrodden and in serious need of a facelift. I got to the sixth floor and noticed an unpleasant aroma. Got to my room (with a sleeping child on my shoulder) and tried to relax. Unfortunately, I couldn't because there was no hot water, the restroom was filthy, the coffee machine didn't work, the TV had four working channels, the heater didn't work, and the A/C vent was broken and filthy - causing it to shoot out god-knows-what into the air. Additionally, the entire floor around the unit was soaked... So, I called the front desk. She offered me 5,000 points and told me I could change rooms. When I arrived to 1619, I was shocked to see the maintenance man there. He informed me that the only way to get warm water is to run the sink and tub at the same time. He was very apologetic, but it was clear he'd been working on the same issues in multiple rooms all night. By this point, it was after 11 pm and we just wanted to shower and sleep in a clean room. That wouldn't happen. We kept hearing loud, clanking noises coming from the restroom all night long. Additionally, the room was filthy - covered in hair and raisins from previous guests. At one point, I attempted to call the front desk, but the phone didn't work, AND, there was a hairy raisin on the phone's receiver which wound up on my face. My entire experience was horrific. It was also alarming because no hot water meant that employees weren't washing their hands properly - including the breakfast crew. I am so disappointed. To have gotten no sleep and be subjected to such filth is beyond me.

This property is smartly packed into a business park and shares the lot with the Hilton Parsippany. Why is that smart? It's quiet, no traffic noise and you can walk around the business park and visit with the strolling ducks by the pond. First thing is first, I do not recommend staying here without a car. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and the Hilton with three restaurants, one of which is Ruth's Chris are an option but everything else - you'll be looking at a $10 Lyft, minimum each way. It's NJ, so walking is not possible beyond the business park. The hotel is modern with a sleek and big lobby. The lobby was quiet when I worked in it. There is a free business center in the lobby along with a pantry with ice cream, drinks and snacks. And a limited number of other sundries. Free internet is available to all guests with higher speed free to HHonors guests. Also, free parking! The rooms are clean and bright. I had a big room with two beds. The noise carried from the hallway but it was brief as others were just talking as they were opening the doors to their rooms. There is also a clean laundry room on floor two with two washers and two dryers. The staff were all really nice. If anything, they are busy at check in and out but bored during the slow day. They work hard and are very helpful. The fitness center is in the Hilton. It's easy to go there with your key. You do not need to speak to anyone at the Hilton. The rates are much better than Hilton, so why not give it a try?

The hotel is old; the latest updates seemed like they were from 10-20 years ago. If you stand near the window, you can feel cold air seeping through the cracks (1 star off). The staff is friendly, but no one brings up anything if you need anything. I got a paper cut and needed a Band-Aid, and was told to go down to the front desk to get it myself. I guess it was a good thing that I did not have a more severe injury? I am not a prima donna, so that was fine. Cleaning crew turns down the thermostat to 64F after servicing your room. I guess they don't know that the windows are seeping cold air and guests want the thermostat up. They really should not be adjusting the room temperature during cleaning though. If you are looking for a no-frills hotel in the area, this is a good choice.

We worked primarily with KeriAnn to help coordinate for the weekend of our wedding and she was so thorough and detail oriented. She was incredibly communicative and made sure we went through all the nuances of our wedding weekend with a fine toothed comb. The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, modern & spacious. We used Gathering Room 1 & 2 the day of the wedding for myself & the bridal party to get ready in with the hair and makeup artists which was more than enough space to accommodate everyone. We were able to access the space early in the morning and the hotel even provided a complimentary hotel room next door for us to use to store our stuff, use the restroom and take photos in. The staff was great about passing out hotel room bags to our guests, putting together signage for our shuttle, and trying their best to accommodate early check-ins when they could. We opted to have an after party and were able to keep the bar open that was private for just our guests which was the best way to end the night with our family & friends. Raj was an incredibly attentive & friendly bartender. We had nothing but a positive experience here and will continue to recommend it to other couples who may be looking for a room block for their wedding weekends!

1-Star Review for Hampton Inn & Suites, Parsippany, NJ…read more We had a shocking and deeply upsetting experience at this hotel with our two kids -- one of whom is autistic. We had stayed here just two days earlier with no issues, but this time, a rude and unprofessional front desk woman unfairly accused us of causing a problem simply because our autistic child didn't have shoes on at check-in. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion, she escalated the situation by calling the police on us -- even though we did absolutely nothing wrong. To make things worse, she contacted corporate, and without investigating or even listening to our side, corporate backed her actions and refused to let us check into the room we had already paid for. This entire experience was humiliating, discriminatory, and traumatic for our child. Families with special needs deserve compassion -- not judgment and false accusations. Hampton Inn corporate should be ashamed for how this was handled. If you value decency, empathy, and respect, stay far away from this hotel.

I made a reservation as I always do on the Hilton app. The app notified me I was able to check in and select a room which I went ahead and did as I have in the past. Today I get a voicemail from the property asking to call them back. When I called them back I got an earful from the front desk woman because apparently I wasn't allowed to check in and select a room despite the app allowing me to do so. I explained to her that the app allowed me to and that I always do that and have done so in the past at this same property. She proceeds to in so many words call me a liar and say it isn't possible when again it absolutely is. The entire interaction was so off putting and uncomfortable. She made me feel uncomfortable even coming in for the stay. I late cancelled my reservation after calling the Hilton 800 number and upon them contacting the property to cancel the reservation the same woman proceeds to tell the corporate customer service agent that "that isn't how the interaction went down". I told the agent I'm uncomfortable and I absolutely refuse to stay there. I booked another room at another Hilton property, checked in, and got my digital key in all of 5 minutes total. If there's a disconnect between Hilton and their apps check in policies and the individual property that shouldn't be put on the customer. Felt like I was in the principals office getting an earful for checking in on the app. Do better. It's disturbing to have this level of crap customer service.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany has serious heating/cooling problems and you need to be aware of that before booking here. Came here for an event and left with one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany is easy to access and has plenty of parking, but you do have to pay for parking. I want to say this before I go further, the hotel staff were not really the problem here, it's the whole property as the building and rooms are out of date. Check-in went badly, as while they did have my reservation, they could not check me in even with downloading the app. Corporate helpdesk even had problems when the employees called about my reservation. Basically, my reservation had to be deleted and remade, and this whole process from start to finish took around an hour, and it was frustrating. The interior of this hotel is iconic. The atrium is full of trees, plants, fountains, and stone walkways. It is very visually appealing, and I cannot stress that enough, with a large amount of natural light coming in from all the windows. This design caused one of the biggest problems of the weekend sadly, as the heating/cooling plant could not keep up with the high temperature's outside. The interior of this hotel was shockingly warm all weekend, and very much affected our event experience. On top of that, the pool was closed for renovations, so you couldn't even go for a swim to cool off. For the rooms, they were suites with a nice amount of square footage. The beds were comfortable, but the whole room looked like it had not been upgraded in roughly a decade based on the wear and tear and what TVs are provided. Room did come with a larger mini-fridge and microwave. Because of the oppressive heat outside, our rooms heating/cooling basically did not work all weekend, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom due to its design and shower curtain could easily flood the floor. Our mini-fridge was dirty on the inside with some sort of spill I cleaned up using disinfectant I brought along. One sink had major calcium deposit that I could not remove. It was also dark in the room unless you opened both the atrium facing and outside facing curtains. Our room was disappointing for the most part due to the heat. The complimentary breakfast was ok, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, various grains, pastries, coffee, juice, soda, and an omelet bar. Event space is somewhat limited depending on your needs, and you might have to be creative with setups. Overall, this hotel was massively disappointing and I cannot recommend staying here at the $150-$200 price point. The iconic look of the atrium is the only reason to stay here and you should otherwise avoid the Embassy Suites by Hilton Parsippany unless absolutely necessary.

The lobby is very nice and inviting along with the light color furniture selection and window detailing in the rooms. There is also a basketball court outside, an indoor pool, and 2 pelotons in the gym (per my coworker) for those that want to remain active during their stay. There is also onsite parking which I hear costs money from other reviews and I was not told that so waiting for that bill to come through... Now for the lack of cleanliness... I walked up to my room and there were 2 lady bugs right by my room number. I walked in my room and there was one on the wall. Since ladybugs can be an infestation, I figured switching rooms would not fix this. It was also late and I didn't feel like running around town to find another place to stay. Upon settling into the room I started finding hair in various places of all color... brown, blond, black, curly, wavy, and straight. My coffee table had a sticky spot on it, clearly not wiped throughly. There were brown/black spots on the ceiling and cabinets. I found a random pair of socks in the stairwell on my last morning as I was leaving. Also the cherry on the cake... my shower took FOREVER to heat up, to the point I thought it wasn't working. I made up my mind that I would suck it up and take a cold shower then check out first thing since I was exhausted and didn't feel like getting dressed and packing. Luckily as I was rushing to take my shower it started to get a little warmer and finally on the verge of hot, so I decided to stay another night and letting it run for 10 minutes before getting in (I would be pissed at this water bill if it were my actual home). Didn't remove a star for this but I do wish there were more takeaway options for breakfast like fruit. I grabbed a yogurt which worked but maybe some hotels are not doing fresh fruit anymore to minimize waste? I'll be staying here again soon since for longer trips my coworkers and I tend to need a kitchen to cook fresh meals (I hear the knives suck and my coworker bought her own) so I'll see if I just got a bad room or if the lack of cleanliness and lady bugs is consistent....

Several of my friends who checked in with us had a similar experience. Even if we were appropriately informed that we would have to pay, it's nonetheless a ridiculous policy. The only time I've ever had to pay for parking at a hotel like this was in the heart of major cities such as Manhattan or Chicago, not rural New Jersey!! Considering the rooms are disproportionately expensive as it is, making guests pay for parking is corporate greed at its worst. Additionally, my wife and I left our room at 9:00am to attend a nearby wedding. We got back to the hotel around midnight, only to find that our room had not been cleaned. It was very disappointing. Lastly, a friend of hours who was also staying in the hotel had called the front desk to request extra linens. The response? "Come down and get them." Like I said, the lobby was very clean and the breakfast was great, but having to pay for parking in an area like this is ludicrous. What made it even worse was the deception.

It seemed nice at first, but upon entry it felt like a sauna! I went out and got dinner and figured fit just needed time to cool down since it was much hotter than usual. After coming back, I noticed the temperature hadn't changed. I alerted the desk upon on my way to work out to let them know. When I got done from working out, I noticed it still hadn't changed so I asked them again and then sent someone up. He deconstructed the unit and gave me the "VIP" temperature, which unlocks it to go past 65. He said he put it at 60 and said it'll cool down in 10 mins. Now, while he was giving his spiel, he specifically said something about the hot water being off. I asked if that meant I wouldn't have hot water for my shower and he said no because they were separate units. I beg to differ. Once he left, I hopped in the shower and surprise surprise, no hot water. It wasn't even lukewarm. Not to mention, it never cooled down and I woke up sweating. I alerted them in the morning what went on and asked if I could switch rooms. The attendant said she'd award me 5,000 points for my trouble and gave me a new room. The first thing I did was check the shower to make sure the water was hot, and it was. I noticed the air felt the same as it did in my other room so I let them know on my way to breakfast. I came back and saw it hadn't changed. I told them again on my way to workout. Came back and same thing. When I went back, the attendant said the repairman closed out the ticket but she could send him back. The man came back to the room and you could tell he was pissed to be there. His tone was dismissive and after explaining what happened he said, "we fixed everything. You need to sit here for a while and you'll see." Oh ok, pal. I guess I'm a child now. I said thanks and he left. While the new room eventually got cooler, it was the principal and tone behind the matter. I wouldn't be raising a fuss if there wasn't merit behind my concern. If you're ok with mediocre service, this is the hotel for you. I won't be back. Update: 3/19/2026- I never got the points that they said they'd give me.
