Excellent customer service, delicious food, clean quiet restaurant. My daughter recommended this place and it didn't disappoint. It seem to be a family owned restaurant that take pride in quality food and customer service. If you're ever in the area stop by. We ordered shrimp fried rice (added garlic), chicken fried rice (added garlic), crab Rangoon (no picture because my daughter ate them before I could get a picture) and shrimp tempura. Hana Dragon? More like Hana Slay-gon. The wonton soup? Divine. Rich, flavorful, healing like if a gay wizard brewed comfort in a cauldron. But BEWARE, darling. That soup comes out so hot you'll swear Hana herself is a fire-breathing dragon serving vengeance in broth form. Sip carefully or lose a layer of tongue. Takeout? Fast as a RuPaul wig change. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hana Dragon, and I must say, this restaurant is a true hidden gem! The food was exceptional--each dish was packed with rich flavors and cooked to perfection. Good Really delicious food that wasn't overly salty and was really thoughtfully prepared. I love everything we ordered from the menu. Worth noting, there are some ridiculous 1 and 2 star reviews here that are about the PREVIOUS owners of a sushi restaurant, but this new ownership and restaurant concept are great! I loved this place, this was my first time I've been here and I'm sad to say I have not come here before I ordered some crab ragoons and it was the best thing ever. MY TASTE BUDS WERE NOT HAPPY We came in here for a late night bite on a Sunday night. Place was empty, we got seafood udon and order of sexy beach roll. Food wasn't anything special. Roll was small compared to other sushi spots in the city and both dishes were missing flavor especially the soup. Presentation of the roll was also terrible. Both of us felt the owner was given us a stink eye, maybe because we announced we would like to use our Groupon. He gave us a stone face look, likely a young lady working there stepped with a huge smile and took care of us (5 star rating for her work ethics). At the end was disappointed that a hole in the wall spot we thought would be our new discovered hidden gem was nothing more than a piece of coal. read more

Ordered on uber eats. Timing was spot on. Flavor not so much. I wish I could remember the name of the roll I got. It was tasty and filling with 10 large pieces. So 5 stars on that for like $13? But I also ordered a red curry and it was absolutely disgusting! It tasted like soap or perfume or something. I have never before thrown away food I paid good money for but I couldn't stomach this for more than 2 bites. I might return for sushi, but honestly I could get similar quality and taste elsewhere. I was excited to have sushi and curry in one place but highly disappointed. read more

First time ordering, everything was excellent! My husband is pretty picky about his foods and he enjoyed everything he ate. He loved the egg drop soup, and he doesn't even like egg drop soup. I ordered beef pad thai and it was full of tofu that i did not order, along with the beef. i don't eat tofu and was not happy. on top of that, the beef is ground and chopped into slimy, greasy pieces that look like they might be regular cuts of beef but taste terrible. the egg rolls have peanut sauce that i wasn't expecting, and it made the flavor weird. maybe that's normal for some egg rolls, but it didn't work together with whatever else was in the roll. i only took two bites before giving up. read more

This restaurant serves Japanese, Chinese and Thai food. This review is for the Chinese food. I really wanted to like this place because I live just down the street, but it's mediocre even for "bad" Chinese food. I like salty food, but everything was salty without actually having decent flavor. I still gave 2 stars because they used douchi (Chinese fermented black beans) as an ingredient, which I love. Ordered 3 lunch specials online for pick-up around 11:30am today: 9. Shrimp Lobster Sauce - shrimp was a bit over cooked, sauce was too salty and lacking flavor 10. Pepper Steak - generous portion, beef was tender, and the bell peppers and onions were cooked perfect, but not the typical pepper steak flavor that I'm used to. Again heavy on the salt 22. Fried Chicken Wings - literally fried chicken. Not breaded or dredged in anything. Definitely will not order again. The chicken fried rice was bland even though it was salty enough. Seems like it's missing a flavoring ingredient. Like many of the reviewers said, the guy who rang me up acts like he hates being there. I asked if there's hot sauce, and he told me it's a side order and costs a $1. He said like he was annoyed and just wanted me to stop talking to him. So just a heads up... -Sauces are considered "side orders" and cost between $1-$1.50. They charge almost $2 for an almond cookie. What?! -$10 minimum for credit card use, no Apple pay or American Express accepted If you want Chinese food, just order from another place down the street or Chinatown, and pay the delivery fee. read more

I love to support local small businesses but please don't got to this place for food. It is very hard to mess up Asian food. I ordered two items. One is a beef noodle and the other was pineapple fried rice. Both item have no flavor beside dark soy and salt. Both items the proteins is not fresh at all. Spoiled. I get it, business is slow so for a small business, they need to save everything you can. I'm a business consultant, so what they need to do is limited their items and only focus on few. Don't do Chinese, Thai and Japanese. $30 went down the drain. Heading over to Popeyes. Easy on the baker soda on the beef. Marinated it with salt, wine, corn starch and etc. Deep fried the beef first and stirred fried with the noodle. The base sauce need to be dark and light soy sauce. Over night the white rice, and DO NOT use spoiled protein. Old spoiled shrimp smell can ruin everything. When I came in and ask about your recommendations, don't say "I don't know what you like, we have Chinese, Thai and Japanese". The reason I asked, because I knew the moment I walked in, some of your items won't be fresh so that is why I ask your recommendation. I was hoping to pick the fresh ingredients dish for me and not the other way around. Please don't ruin struggling small business trying to survive. read more

I ordered four different types of nigiri (salmon, white tuna, yellowtail, and mackerel) and the fish was discolored and not fresh. In fact, I'm not sure if the fish wasn't fresh or if it was partially cooked because the texture and taste were way off. I couldn't eat more than one bite out of concern I'd be sick. read more

I ordered off of doordash and the estimated time was 45 mins for my order. I like ordering local and this was one place in my neighborhood that I hadn't tried so I ordered it. I got a notification that the order was ready and I drove to pick it up. When I walked in the owner came out from the back and told me the order would take another 10 mins. I was upset by this because I had already waited 45 mins and the app told me the food was ready. I told him this. His response was, "Well it's not ready so come back in 10 minutes." in a very rude tone. I know these are tough times but that's not hospitality. At least offer me a drink while I wait or give me a discount on my next order. I cut owners some slack because these are hard and stressful times but I won't be returning to Hana Sushi. read more

Unfortunately the literal restaurant is the sole factor for the 3 star rating here. The sushi itself was really delicious and well made. Some fan favorites were the Snow White roll (warm, well made, and great flavor combo), the Mexican, and the Juke. All of the flavors were amazing, rolls were delicious, and you get great yelp deals ($25 for $15 and free miso for checking in!). Service was friendly and prompt. Very willing to accommodate and get everything necessary to make sure we had a good experience. The down side was the actual physical restaurant. It felt very run down, in a small space, and there were tiny green bugs on the wall crawling up and down as we ate. That alone took away from our experience dining in here. I would highly recommend getting the sushi to go, I don't think I will be eating in here again anytime soon though! read more

Older Male (Maybe the owner?) was rude when I picked up my food, and told me I placed my order wrong online, when I selected "cash" and then wanted to pay with my card. Just scan the card, I don't care, I'll pay how I want. The food was the saltiest food I have ever had in my life. I had to rinse it under the sink. That is a new one for me. The chicken was super cheap and very chewy and fatty. The Pad Thai is NOT pad thai, I dont know what that was. They make a very strange sauce for it. I would go elsewhere. read more

Whoaaaaa! We just decided to pass by and my friend Lupe said "smoothie", but what I didn't realize was that "smoothie" also had lunch specials for $6.50. Lawd what?!!! This combo lo Mein is really good! It took longer then I thought but I must say it had to be fresh! This is really good Lo Mein indeed! I would highly recommend this spot, but know that it's not the biggest in size but definitely enough space to accommodate about 15 couples or so. I also ordered a mango coconut smoothie that really made me a believer that they ate on the right track with this spot! Prices are really fair and they also have Bento sushi boxes that of course I will try a a later date. Simply stated, this little spot will definitely give the area a run for its money as far as authenticity I just say. I would be embarrassed to admit how many times I've ordered both delivery direct from the restaurant and UberEats from here over the last year if it wasn't so dang good! Personally I think they make some of the best chicken fried rice around, as well as excellent edamame and miso soup. I've also had the pleasure of enjoying a couple varieties of lo mein, as well as a few of the sushi rolls. While the sushi is not my favorite, the hot food has always been consistent and good. Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of dining in - they're still just doing carry out and delivery - but it is worth it! read more

I'm giving Hana a four star review for their lunch menu because that's all I ever have. I've heard good things about the sushi but can't say I have tried it. For lunch they give you a ton of fried rice, a entree of your choice (orange chicken for example) and a choice of drink or 2 egg rolls or 2 crab rangoons, ALL for $7.50. Thats a lot of food! None of it will blow your mind - buts its definitely bang for your buck. read more

I've only ordered sushi from here. Both times have been within the last month and they've really delivered each time. The nigiri is fresh and inexpensive compared to our normal West Loop spots. The salmon and super white tuna were so tasty i could have only ordered those. We had a Forbidden roll and a spicy crunch hamachi and they both had great flavor. I highly suggest Hana for staple sushi spot in the area. I'm also a huge fan of their Tea Bar when they open back up. The Strawberry Matcha is heaven. read more

On a hot summer day I stopped by because I saw they had bubble tea here and its really REALLY good. I think we've been back 3 times now. It has real fruit and you can taste it! This was before I read all the reviews about how there's a mean owner. I met him and his daughters and I think they're really nice. When I walk in there's no one there and it makes me sad. Tom yum soup was tasteless and seemed like the vegetables came out of the can. The vegetable fried rice had frozen vegetables that seemed to be frostbitten. Horrible food. We ordered the asparagus and sweet potato maki rolls, which were subpar. The spicy mayo on the side (costs $1.50 per small container) was the consistency of water & tasted disgusting. We also ordered two veggie egg rolls. Even when asked if they were vegetarian, he said yes. On receiving the order, we discovered they were not. Despite the other reviews I ordered the tuna roll and sashimi sake for pick up and thought it was great. Super fresh and quick service. The place itself is pretty small and would be good for a casual dining experience. The only downside was when I called she didn't give me a delivery pick up time and said she'd call me when it was ready, which was literally 10 minutes later. She said the chef was backed up and when I got there they had one couple dining so just a little confusing. Overall I would go back again! read more

Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings
