5/5 Stars We've now used Hana Hou for two completely different services, and to say we're impressed is an understatement! They are officially our go-to one-stop shop for home services. Our first experience with them was after winning a Reverse Osmosis system through a local fundraising event. Scheduling was a breeze, and they got us on the calendar surprisingly fast. Our technician, Lukas, was top-notch. He took a look at our sink setup and got straight to work. He was incredibly friendly, thoroughly explained how the RO system operates, and walked us through the filter-flushing process before we could start enjoying clean water. He even tested our tap water to show us the chlorine levels, which was a huge eye-opener for our future filtration needs! Not long after, during the absolute hottest heatwave California has seen, our A/C started short-cycling--turning on and off continuously without properly cooling the house. I called the front office, and they amazingly managed to send out a technician the exact same day Lukas was doing our RO install. Gus was our A/C tech, and he was as thorough as it gets. He took the time to listen to the issues we were experiencing, gave us great context on what might be happening, and then did a deep dive on both our indoor furnace and outside unit. Throughout the inspection, he sent detailed photos of the furnace, ductwork, and diagnostic readings so we could see everything firsthand. Afterward, he clearly explained his findings and presented several straightforward options with fair, reasonable quotes for each scenario so we could decide what worked best for us. Between the flawless RO installation and Gus's thorough diagnostic work, we feel completely confident in Hana Hou. The day after we returned from vacation our ac went out during the hottest two weeks we've had this year. It was a VERY old unit so we knew it was probably time to replace rather than repair again. I placed a service request via Yelp the next morning, responded to two of the half dozen companies that reached out and scheduled them to come the next day to provide estimates. Hana Hou weren't in those two, but the owner followed up on the next day and offered to be of service; review any estimates I got and provide some honest feedback. First company comes out. Nice, professional guy. Agrees that it's probably in our best interest to replace as a repair would've been around $2k, and we're still going to need to replace it within the next few years. We decide to continue with replacement. He leaves. His company sends a replacement quote a few hours later. Estimate seems a bit high, but what do I know? I send it to Bill at Hana Hou then wait for the guy from the next company. Next company comes out. Another very nice man. He completes his inspection, then sits down and and gives us three options. The highest cost option is $3k under the first company. But the catch is they can't do it until 10 days later. It's over 90° in my house when he delivers this news. "Yeah, we'll keep you on the list," I say. I send their quotes to Bill at Hana Hou, who loops in his expert Marc who tells us he can install a new unit THE NEXT DAY. He's 1 city over from us and just wrapped his last appointment for the day. It's 93° in our house. I'm honestly pretty desperate. Marc comes through. Inspection, FIVE options, we decide on one (not the cheapest we've seen all day,, but not the most expensive either). I sign the paperwork and he leaves. We go to a local hotel, and Hana Hou starts work the next morning at 8am sharp. Come home from work that night to a comfortably cooled home. (My husband said our installers Steven and Josh were great! Very personable, hard working and had great communication.) It honestly seems like there are quite a few great companies in the area. Even the most expensive option seemed like they were just riding the market at its high point (heat wave). But I recommend giving Hana Hou a shot. I'm extremely pleased with their work and the price I paid for it. read more

Of course our AC upstairs has to go out during the worst heat wave of the year. We had a different company come out and they quoted us an extremely high price to replace the unit so we decided to get a second opinion. I made an appt with Hana Hou and Gus came out right on time and was very honest, knowledgeable and prices were significantly less than the first people that came out. He connected us with Marc to discuss our options but not before temporarily repairing our unit so we can get through the very hot weekend and decide what we wanted to do. When we agreed on a system Marc scheduled the installation for the very next day and the 2 installers were very kind and respectful to us and our home. Our AC died recently. It gets hot in Riverside and replacing was the only solution. I got 4 estimates from contractors that I felt were reputable and should have been knowledgeable. What I got was pricing all over the place ($15K - $60K) with very little explanations and I was even more confused as compared to when I started this nightmare. We called Hana Hou to check our A/c, technician inspected the air conditioning system and advised that the entire duct system was falling apart and needed replacement at a quoted cost of approximately $8000, Based on the seriousness and cost of this recommendation, we sought a second opinion from another licensed HVAC contractor. The second contractor determined that the ductwork did not require replacement and that the actual issue was simply low refrigerant. The system was repaired and returned to normal operation for approximately $300. The substantial difference between their diagnosis and the actual repair raises serious concerns regarding the accuracy and professionalism of the inspection. Hopefully this review will be eye opening for others. read more

during the heat our AC air flow went low . the technician from Hana Hou misdiagnosed and said air ducts in the attic are falling apart and we need to replace them and gave us estimate over 8000 dollars . and charged us 88 dollars diagnostic fee . We got second opinion from another company . They said there is no leak from the air ducts and they are in good condition . Air conditioner just needed a little work and cost only 300 dollars . Now it works fine . Hana Hou intentionally was pushing a sale and unnecessary project . We are very disappointed . We needed help during the heat but they made us so frustrated .
