came here right after our flight for a quick lunch! we came during happy hour and ended up ordering a few yummy beers and the mac and cheese for my daughter. we love us some mac and cheese and this one did not disappoint! my husband and i also shared the fish sandwich and it was so fresh and the perfect portion for us to split. our server was also super nice and attentive, which made for a great start to our vacation!

This place has been on my list to try for a while. A coworker finally got me to get out. I was able to get a parking spot in their lot and appreciated the lady there that was making sure people parking were customers. The place looked cool inside and got busier into the early evening. I enjoyed the flight sampler. The food unfortunately was mostly dry. It seemed like the shrimp, wings, and pork belly sliders were all sort of dry. I think maybe it was an off night or something because I've heard great things about this place. I also love the collaborations on their labels especially the one with the Blood Bank of Hawaii. Thanks for helping to promote blood donation! Beer was a 5. Food that day was a 3.

Support local brew houses. I've been visiting here since they opened in 2019 and have always admired their craftsmanship & creativity with their beers - especially the names...lol. . Most recently, their collabs with neighboring Rice Factory hv been tasty, pairing well with their hefty Hana burger and a Fried chicken sandwich special. Kindly requesting garlic truffle fries be brought to their regular menu - please (: . Excited to eventually attend one of their community events - I saw yoga on one of their ads?!...fun. . As usual, scoring a parking stall in the trippy mickey lot is still based on prayers & luck. Nonetheless, cheers to more beers & mems @ Hana Koa Brewing!

Had a vendor networking event here ... up in the Moon room (2nd floor). Great venue area that has a full bar, and easy to have business conversations without shouting ... we could order any drink on the menu! Sweet! I had the Lilikoi Mule and it was so refreshing. We had a buffet of prepared food items, which were all tasty. I was told that the pickled onion rings were super popular here! Made some great contacts for future business opportunities ... then finished the night off with a wonderful glass of wine. Love Hana Koa ... the bartenders upstairs provided excellent service, will be back soon.

Came here expecting just a typical brewery, but it ended up being such a great spot. They have a full bar in addition to their beers, which is perfect if you're with friends who want cocktails or something different. The food was surprisingly good too -- definitely more than just typical bar snacks. Everything we ordered was really tasty and paired well with the drinks. The environment is one of my favorite parts. The space is big, lively, and really well designed, with a nice upstairs area that gives you a great view of the whole place. It's a fun vibe whether you're coming for drinks, food, or just hanging out. Overall a really solid spot with good drinks, yummy food, and a great atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

Came here on a Sunday with some friends and food was good for a brewery. We made reservations online but we probably could have just walked in for a party of 4. They have ample seating both up and downstairs. When we were leaving, around 2p the place filled up. They had a big menu with some special Sunday brunch options too. I was craving a burger and it did not disappoint. Service was great- our server kept checking on us and let us chill for a while- we hadn't seen eachother in a while. Parking wise they have a good size lot that was empty on Sunday but I imagine is fills up at night. If not it's just street parking in the area. Overall it was a good experience and plan to be back!

A hidden gem worth trying. The service is great from the moment we came in. The hostess is welcoming and our server was friendly and attentive. This restaurant/bar is spacious with lots of seating. Their menu is easy to choose from and lots of variety of beers to try. I'm not a beer person so I choose a Lilikoi Mulē which was very good. My husband is a IPA drinker and he loved the ones he tried. The food we got was delicious and omg, their onion rings are soo good!! In my opinion, their onion rings are the best I have tried, lol. We also got the sliders and added a extra one. That also was good. Our friends got their specials which was a brisket plate. The portion was enough to feed 2-3 people. It is a very chill place with TVs to watch and restrooms are maintained. Parking is very limited. You need to be lucky if there is parking in their parking area or street parking. We ended up parking behind their building at ALTRES which was less than a 5 minute walk. (It's free after 5pm) Other than that, I definitely will come back again.

Good place if you're looking for a place to hang with a group of friends that not only has good beer but also a solid selection of food! The group got a few appetizers to share along with food and drinks. As I'm not much of a beer drinker, I got the Mango Li Hing Mui Seltzer which I liked. They also have plenty of mocktail options for those who don't drink but still want something different than the typical soda. We got our drinks and food pretty quickly except for when one of them asked for another beer and it took a while for him to get it. I got the Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs and my boyfriend got the Mando Mac N' Cheese and I enjoyed both of them! He thought his wasn't salty enough but I thought it was just right. Food items ordered: - Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs - Mando Mac N' Cheese - Garden Burger w/ Side Salad - Beer Battered Fish & Chips - OG Swiss Burger w/ Onion Rings & Ranch - OG Swiss Burger w/ Fries

Had a great time at Hana Koa, Saturday night they have a prime rib special but we didnt order it. The marlin toast was delicious it comes with 3 pieces but you can add an extra piece. Smokehouse burger was perfectly cooked, argula and beet salad was a generous portion. I loved the Pumpkin Cheesecake. They also just released the Mochi Daze Ipa delicious for me but some found it too sweet. Service was friendly and lively atmosphere. Good food and great selection of draft beers.

Hana koa has some of the best brews on the island. You have to try the Rice Breaker if you have the chance. I brought some friends who were visiting Oahu to hang out and try some beers. The service was great, our server was very attentive despite it being busy. The food was average. My friend ordered a Teri burger medium, and it came very rare. Not sure if I have the wrong idea of what a medium burger should look like. Oh well :/

Hana Koa is a beautiful brewery with two stories! The interior is spacious and very clean. The drink selection is vast and unique, with beers and ciders you can't find other places and taste extremely refreshing. Parking is limited as the street is narrow and doesn't really allow for street parking nearby. I would plan to park a few blocks away and walk. Regardless, I would highly recommend checking out Hana Koa Brewing while in Oahu!!

So we had a team building function at Hana koa brewery. We went during Happy hour 3-6 The following staff gave awesome customer service recommendations. They're very knowledgeable into details about even the brewing of their beer. The food is great. The beer was great most definitely we will be back. Got the following FLIGHT OF THE WEEK (no substitutions) breaktime blonde, rooftop, rotating sour, rotating ipa Marlin toast The following individual stood out while we were there Bartenders Sarina, Nick and sunny production brewer Kris

Stopped in on a busy Tuesday night. The lot was full and all street parking was taken. Hostess told us to find street parking or we can park in the parking garage behind the building called "Altres" which was free of charge and allowed after 5pm. I think making a reservation would be recommended, but we lucked out with walking-in and snagging a high top table. Ordered a flight and my all-time favorite HanaKoa Beer, which is the Rice Lager. All beers on tap were written on the wall and you can find more on the menu. This place was poppin' for a Tuesday night but all of our servers were helpful and friendly. I didn't feel like I was waiting around for a server to come by despite it being busy. I recommend this place! This is one of my favorite breweries on island and I know I will definitely come again.

Hana koa hamburger. Quite filling and tasty.

Ask the Community - Hana Koa Brewing

    Where is the private parking?

They have a parking lot around the side of the building, or there is street parking.

Does this spot host a trivia night at all?

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

Yes. If you have a service animal. They only have inside seating.

Do you have any non-wheat beers? For example, are any barley-based beers available?

Hi! Hana Koa currently doesn't serve wheated beers such as Hefeweizens. All of their beers are made with malted barley and other non-gluten adjuncts. If you're GLUTEN-SENSITIVE, the malted barley beers might enjoyed without much issue. HOWEVER,…

Do they have a private area for a baby or bridal shower?

I guess you could possibly take the entire upstairs as a private party.

Can you order food if you sit in the mezzanine?

Yes, the food menu is available in the mezzanine

    What's the dress code?

    Very casual

    Do they have happy hour?

Yes they do. 11am - 5 pm everyday.

Everyone was very nice there and the space was a good sports bar to watch the World Cup at. We sat at the bar so we could see the TVs, but there were plenty around the restaurant. The food was mixed reviews. The shrimp fried rice was really good, a bit on the oily side (personally don't mind that) and lacked salt, but that was an easy fix. The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. I'd still go again and try other things on the menu and maybe ask for the colada to not be too sweet

We were seated relatively quickly, outside, at a long picnic table. No problems there. But then... Our server (Andrew, I think that's his name...it was on the receipt but we literally never saw him after he took our order and then brought the bill), really didn't want any small talk at all. He seemed a bit annoyed when my fiancé asked about their own brews....almost like it would've been easier for him to just order Coors or something. You're a brewing company...people are going to have questions. All 4 of us ordered something different- Sicilian pepperoni pizza, some type of burger, pulled pork loaded fries, and a macadamia nut chicken salad. Food was average...you can tell they cater to tourists.. Our server never checked on us. He took our order, a runner brought the food out, and the next time he came to the table was with a bill. I actually had to flag down another service so we could cash out. I have so much respect for people working in the service industry. It's a hard job. You deal with people all the time and some of them are downright jerks. We weren't jerks. We were regular, nice customers. It takes a lot for me to not tip anywhere between 20-25%. Sadly, this was one of those times. 2 stars

My only complaint is that Lokahi Brewing fit us all into a pretty tight space on the second floor so it was a bit uncomfortable. 5/5 Yelp Stars for Matthew Singer. Unfortunately, Lokahi Brewing's food missed the mark for me. Their brews were not bad, but there are other breweries in town that I prefer over Lokahi. I tried 4 different ones, and my favorite was the FLOOR IS GUAVA. Here's all the food we got: LOKAHI NACHOS w/ BIRRIA MEAT ($23) [3/5] - Portion was decent for $23, but the chips ran stale and there was uneven distribution of cheese and toppings throughout the nachos. Literally, one side had all the cheese and toppings. The birria meat didn't really taste of the classic Mexican spices that makes birria so good, it felt more like pulled pork. It was also dry. FRIED PICKLES ($10?) [2/5] - This was SO SALTY. I didn't really taste the tang of the pickles, felt like it was squeezed out of all its juice. It was ultimately just chips with a ton of salt. I downed two cups of water trying to finish these. Ultimately, I would come back to Lokahi Brewing for their shows and a brew or two, but I'll eat at home or elsewhere first before coming.

The only difference to this establishment was instead of a server taking our order, we were instructed to go to the front podium to place the order when we were ready. We opted for the Fried Calamari with Cilantro Lime Aioli to start, and ordered the Chop Salad with Tofu and the Verde Bowl. The pork on it was a little dry but the corn, beans pico and sour cream made up for this, tots were fluffy and crispy. We liked this one overall. The ceviche was $26 (not on the happy hour menu), it was a portion for 1-2 people, the fish itself tasted fresh but I wasnt a huge fan of the ceviche flavor, I wish it was more lime/acid forward and would have liked an herbal element like cilantro to spice it up. The wonton chips were not great, they weren't crispy and tasted almost mealy, they also lacked salt, I imagine if they were freshly fried it would have been tastier. Service was very fast and polite. My partner and I had just finished a long hike and were excited to relax, enjoy a good meal, and watch the World Cup game. When we arrived, we approached the host stand to put our name on the waitlist. Instead of being greeted with a smile or any sense of hospitality, the host, Sarah, came across as very snarky, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She informed us there would be approximately a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood and were happy to accept. While waiting, we stood near the bar area so we could watch the World Cup match. Despite standing there for around 25 minutes, not a single bartender or employee acknowledged us, offered a menu, or even greeted us. Eventually, after about 30 minutes of waiting, a table in the bar area became available. Since it was empty, we sat down, assuming it was open. Within moments, the host approached us with the same rude attitude and told us that table was being held for another party. We politely asked to speak with a manager. Rather than responding professionally, she visibly rolled her eyes before going to get one, which only reinforced how unwelcome we felt. When the manager arrived, the interaction was equally disappointing. He never asked us what had happened or tried to understand our perspective. Instead, he immediately apologized and reiterated that the table was reserved for another waiting party. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we simply moved to another available bar table. What made the situation especially frustrating was that the original table they insisted was reserved remained empty the entire time afterward. No one was ever seated there while we watched. It left us questioning why such a rigid stance was taken over a seating arrangement that appeared easily manageable. The issue was never about having to move tables. We understand restaurants get busy and that hosts have to manage seating. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. From the host's attitude and eye-rolling to the manager's unwillingness to listen before making a decision, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As first-time customers, first impressions matter. We arrived excited to enjoy our evening, but instead left feeling ignored, dismissed, and genuinely unwelcome. A little kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to communicate could have completely changed this experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we received.
