Food was good here. We came for a wedding dinner rehearsal and had a large group. They setup tables for us in the back and we had plenty of room for our event. The couple had placed a pre-order for all the food which was super easy because we only had to worry about ordering drinks. There were ton of options like nachos, wings, and pizza. Plenty of options and huge portion sizes. The staff was super nice and was very helpful. They always came around refilling our drinks and putting in new orders with the bartender. I especially liked how helpful they were when we needed to box food. We would definitely come back for more events and other meals. They had a huge venue with lots of tables and multiple levels. There was even a section with shuffle board and easy to find bathrooms.

Maui Brewing company is always one of our stops during our trips to Hawaii. Their consistency in the beer and the food is noted and that's one of the reasons why we like coming here. The pizzas, during happy hour, are priced around $12 or so. You really can't beat that in many places for the quality of food that you get

Really wanted to try Maui brewing co when visiting Oahu. The restaurant is very large with plenty of bar seating and tables. They also have live music in the evenings. When we went we were a party of 8. We were disappointed at the amount of items they were out of- all pizza and mahi mahi. Pros- I liked our server. He was nice and checked on us often. Beers were good and came out quickly. The coconut mango beer was amazing. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the pork bao tacos were good too. Cons- There was a mix up on items so food did not come out all together. The amount of items on the menu they were out of.

Solid spot for some beer and pizza! Swing by inside while strolling the streets and was able to get a seat - usually very long wait times. Staff are very nice and helpful and service is pretty fast. Given this, nothing is special. Just good vibes to wind down. Live music on weekends so expect a lively atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Really solid brew and eats spot! Came for the beers and shared a few flights with my group. I appreciated the server taking us through options that they had on tap as well as giving recommendations that they enjoyed. I was a bit disappointed that some of the popular options were sold out, especially the ports. But those we did try were very tasty!! Good spot to chill for a bit and enjoy the music. Removing a star because of the amount of sold out popular options :(( and because the music was a bit too loud for my preference, making it hard to talk with my friends

Went for happy hour and got the hunter pizza. The busser kept dropping off the wrong items so we got hooked up with the warm tortilla chips & trio of dips by accident which was cool. I really liked the kukui sausage queso dip. But then he also dropped off a pepperoni pizza that wasn't ours. Our server got switched half way through our time there. The pizza was good I love the ranch dip. I asked for more chips and they charged us for chips and pico which I thought was weird. The birds were everywhere it was a lot. If it weren't for the birds everywhere and flying over us I'd give four stars.

Right off the main strip is Maui Brewing. The place is huge. They were able to take care of our large party very fast. Food was great! We picked up the Baja tacos and Jalapeño bacon burger. They also have live music and a solid happy hour. It will be a regular spot when we go back.

Maui brewing company was a great stop for us! I got a Mai tai, the pineapple whip is to die for! My boyfriend tried the coconut beer and was sold IMMEDIATELY! Garlic fries were excellent as well. Food came out hot and fast, service was chill and no pressure.

This place is cool! I didn't even know they had a storefront with actual food. It's centrally located near the international marketplace in Waikiki. They've got merch on the first floor like glass versions of their canned bear and large plus dog toys and accessories! The food is decently priced with Maui Beer as the beverages. They also host live music! Happy Hour: Monday - Friday 3PM-5PM Sunday - Thursday 9PM-10:30PM (late) Food: - Guava BBQ Pork Sando - Mac Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi - Seared Ahi Salad - Bikini Blonde Fish and Chips

Stopped by Maui Brewing Company for drinks on this trip. We've been here a few times over our last four trips, and it's always been a solid spot. One of our favorite visits was during the Spam Jam Festival--they had spam baos that were so good paired with their beers. We've also tried their pizza before, which is always a good choice. This time, we just came for one round of drinks. I wanted to try the Pineapple Mana Wheat, but it was already sold out by the time we got there around 6PM (we had just come from the Waikiki Makers Market). I ended up getting something similar--a Pineapple Chi Chi, which was refreshing and hit the spot. My husband got the Big Swell IPA, which he enjoyed. They have a good selection of food, and the view is nice. The space is big with plenty of seating, so they can accommodate a lot of people without feeling too crowded. It's also very family-friendly--pretty much all ages--so it's a great spot if you're with kids but still want somewhere chill to hang out. Still a great place for drinks, just wish they didn't run out so early!

It's up the stairs and there's a really big bar. This is a fun bar for people watching & watching sports. They have great service and good food. Happy hour has deals. If you are going for a game, just know that not all seats allow you to view screens. The beer is good. The asparagus is tasty. The fish sandwich is great and fried.

What a great place for lunch or dinner. Ordered the pepperoni pizza and chicken sandwich and both were delicious. The service was awesome, our serve did a great job with the chaotic crowd! The environment was wild in a great way since we were here when Switzerland was playing. Pricing was reasonable being in Waikiki. Overall such a great place.

Customer service can be hit or miss at this restaurant, but not too bad. The food is that of any chain restaurant/bar, although I do recommend the bacon jalapeño cheeseburger, paired with an old fashioned *chefs kiss*. Good location and had plenty of tv's airing march madness, which is always a plus. A tad bit overpriced, but what isn't anymore, especially in Hawaii. One thumb up and a high-five for Maui Brewery Co. Waikīkī. Happy eating, my foodies!

As for the food, it is a hit & miss. Some of our party liked their salad w/fried Char Siu chicken, onion rings and tots were also good appetizer food to munch on. Others had the Kalua Pig burger which was real salty. I had their Loco Moco with their dark gravy, which also was a bit too salty. I also chose to have the burger cooked medium well, which was a bit too tough to chew. I should have chosen medium. (An update to my previous post - I upgraded this review to 4 stars, from previous 3. As we left the place, the nice waitress stopped my friend who had the Kalua burger & gave her a new Kalua as the chef threw out the previous batch & made a new one. She loved it. Now who does that in today's world, listened to the customer & make a new batch & even sought out the person to make it right. This is a place to definitely come back to. Awesome Beer Lab!!!) The drinks were their pluses. And their service was excellent. Our waitress was very nice & very attentive. I did like their ordering system thru Toast where you scan a barcode & order & pay before the food gets to you. You can pay individually or as a group. Keep in mind the group tip is set at 20%, but the waitress deserved it.

Good food, okay service. I stood at the host stand for quite a while with the rest of my party…read morewhile we waited for a host to ever notice us. Finally, got seated and a server eventually came by. The pepperoni rolls are delicious as always. We tried the paniolo burger (excellent) and the It's a Gouda burger (good, but I couldn't really taste the aioli or the Gouda). The mac salad on the side is fairly good although I prefer Zippy's because it's more flavorful. Kona's is a bit on the bland side. I got an itty bitty beer to go with my drink and didn't realize that the 5 ounce pour was basically the size of one of their little taster flight beers, but it's $4.25, where the 10 ounce is $6.25. Kind of wish my server had pointed out the 10 ounce is a better value, but they were extremely casual and seemed pretty distracted the whole time, so I don't think they thought to mention it. The 15% off for kama'aina makes the food a better deal. A nice place for a bite to eat and to try some interesting beers and seltzers on tap.

A Sad Decline of What Used to Be a Hawaii Kai Institution…read more It honestly saddens me to write this review because I have been coming to Kona Brewing Company in Hawaii Kai regularly for years. Kona used to be a place where the community gathered--locals would stop in for a drink, grab some food, catch up with friends, and enjoy the atmosphere. It was a thriving neighborhood restaurant and bar that felt like a true part of the Hawaii Kai community. Unfortunately, over the past couple of years, I have watched a noticeable decline in service, food, atmosphere, and management. On my recent visit, I was struck by how empty the bar was. This used to be a place that was bustling with locals and regular customers. Many of the people I used to see there regularly have simply gone elsewhere. The menu is a fraction of what it used to be, with far fewer choices and portions that seem considerably smaller. For an establishment of this size and reputation, the current menu is disappointing and doesn't offer the variety or value I remember. The service has also suffered. Some longtime bartenders seem less interested in customer satisfaction than they once were. I can't say whether that is a reflection of management, staffing issues, or declining morale, but there certainly seems to be a disconnect between the people working there and the customers they're supposed to be serving. When employees don't feel supported or appreciated by management, unfortunately, the customers often feel the effects. And then there's the ambience. Kona used to have an energy--a feeling that you were walking into a neighborhood gathering place. That feeling has largely disappeared. I don't write this review because I want to see Kona fail. Quite the opposite. I remember when Kona Brewing Company was a thriving part of our community, and I would love nothing more than to see it return to that level of service, quality, and community spirit. There are still good people there, and I believe the establishment has tremendous potential. But something needs to change. Management needs to listen to the longtime customers and the employees, take a hard look at what has changed, and find a way to bring back the Kona that Hawaii Kai used to love. It's genuinely sad to watch the decline of what was once such a fine establishment and an important gathering place for our community
