Awesome place! Now my go-to auto repair outfit! Went there to see about a repair of the sagging undercarriage of my Toyota since I knew the dealership charge would be sky-high. Hanagan's fixed it at NO COST in about 45 minutes and said the repair should last the life of the car, but if not, to come back and they'd re-do it. This is a family owned and operated business, and all of their prices seem reasonable. The owners actually work on your car or personally over see the work. That's quite a rarity these days! From the other reviews I would imagine that they are great most of the time but I did want to provide warning that things don't always go as planned. I dropped off a fuel door to be painted and it took over two and a half weeks before it was done. Whenever I called to check in it sounded as though they had forgotten about it. When I finally got the part I asked if I could get a discount given the multiple delays and guy responded curtly that he was giving me a discount already. No apology for the delays. I don't want to be too hard on them because it sounds like they are very busy. With that said you may want to be careful if timeliness is key. read more

I'm SO glad that I found this place! I don't know much about cars and in the past I've felt like an easy mark paying for unnecessary services and repairs but not knowing for sure. It is such a relief to take my car to Hanagan's and feel confident that they'll give me an honest assessment of what needs to be done, do good work and charge fairly. I took my car in to them again today to check out my squeaky breaks and make sure it's up for a road trip this weekend. I got a call a few hours later saying that they'd looked everything over including the breaks, nothing needed immediate repairs. There was some routine maintenance that could be done, but would wait until my next oil change. Best of all, they wouldn't charge me for taking a look at it! I was in a car accident for the first time in 18 years. I have USAA car insurance, and Hanagan's was a recommended shop by USAA. I took the car in the day after the accident, and the staff couldn't have been better. They were friendly and knowledgable, and since I was little lost on what the process was, they explained everything to me. They delivered the car in less time than estimated, and took the time to explain exactly what was done. They also worked seamlessly with USAA. My car looks perfect - like nothing ever happened to it! I dropped off my car without any issues with my tires but picked up my car a few days later and my tire pressure light was on. Showed this to the guy Tim or Jim, he just topped the tires off with some air and said they were ok. 2 days later my tire light comes on again, come to find out they had switched out my almost new rear tires with some faulty worn out tires. I have had experiences with a lot of Awful shops but Hanagan's Auto Body was professional, timely, fair and honest! I was involved in an accident and they fixed my car in three days and when I picked it up it was in a better condition that what I what left on the interior and exterior. There is NO better body shop in the entire DC area. Trust me, I know, since we have had some bad luck (none were our faults) with a few of our cars over the the past 25 year, and I was fortunate enough to find Hanagan's way back then. This is a family run business, they take pride in their work and go out of their way to make an unpleasant experience a very good one. I don't have enough good things to say about Hanagan's! I sent my car here after it was stolen and got completely smashed up, and I could not have been more pleased with my choice. Jim worked on my car, and he was very communicative. He advocated for me with my insurance company making sure that everything got fixed, including the many things the adjuster had missed. In addition, he went above and beyond by thoroughly cleaning the car inside and out. When I dropped my car off it reeked of smoke from the thieves, and it came back not just not smelling of smoke, but actively smelling GOOD! I am so happy. So, last month some idiot rear ended my Acura on the way to work. Was referred to Hanagan's by my auto insurance company, USAA. Never received a better referral. Absolutely outstanding. Quality of Repair: Outstanding. $3K worth of rear end damage that is no longer deducible. Paint matches perfectly, new lift gate latches with ease as before, rear bumper & quarter panels look original, and they even replaced my cracked plastic Acura emblems & license plate frame. All done within 5 business days. Service: Hanagans worked around my crazy work schedule allowing me early bird drop off and to pay the deductible by phone with a after hours pickup. Had paint transfer on the front left bumper from grazing a pole...removed (not part of the estimate or required service) without me even having to ask & did not charge. Managed all correspondence with my insurance company, no action required on my part. Vacuumed and washed my car for pickup. Awesome experience & would highly recommend. read more

Hanagan's is the best car repair shop I've ever been to, period. Clean and cozy, and they go above and beyond with customer service. My car was damaged in a hail storm and I found Hanagan's through Yelp. I brought my car in and the people there were so nice and honest! The part I needed was very expensive, but instead of pushing me to go ahead with the fix, I was told that the damage was strictly cosmetic and that unless we decided to go through insurance, it wouldnt be worth fixing. I checked with the dealerships repair shop and they confirmed that the part was the same cost that Hanagans had listed on the estimate sheet. I used them because they were the first people my insurance company suggested when somebody crashed into my parked car. They did a nice job on the repairs. Then, a couple of weeks later, my car wouldn't start (in the rain, in the supermarket parking lot), funky lights were blinking: weirdness. I called the dealer and got lost in the voicemail system. So I called Hanagan's for advice, and when they found out I wasn't too far away, two guys drove out in under 5 minutes, got the car started, escorted me to Hanagan's, checked it out, explained the problem, drove me home, carried my groceries in, and delivered my car (and its new battery) to my driveway later that day. I cannot believe this customer service. I took my car to Hanagans because they have a special arrangement with my car insurance company. They really did a great auto body repair on my car--for $200 more than other nearby repair shops that do not have a connection to my insurance company. Also, when I reported that my hidden coin stash had been tampered with, they had a knee-jerk reaction and automatically denied everything without listening. read more

There is something to be said for a family business..They treat yYOU as family too. .it began with my regular repair ppl (rayco on georgia and east west hwy) sending me over as i hit a parked car (i know, i know) and did some damage..when i got there they asked if i had money for the meter out front--i didnt ..so they ran out in and got quarters for it. I had my 2 dogs in the car, which were invited right in!! My insurance co was paying the bill other than my deductible and not only did they fix everything needed perfectly they even buffed out a long scrape the estimator didnt cover in his "what needs doing" list., You are taken care of by a brother (i think there are 4 of them) and when i came back unexpectedly with no warning he called me by name!!!! I am a convert and i will spread their name everywhere it is not convenient for me since I live by the zoo but my car is a major part of my livelihood and i have to trust my mechanic--that my new one for everything and anything! read more

They have "can do" attitude, are very friendly and are very, very knowledgeable. First they fixed a falling undermount on my prius and changed the oil for a fraction of what I've paid in the past. These guys are great. They are not, despite their name, an Irish pub, but an auto body shop. I figured they were good when my husband went to them after accidentally hitting a deer; they returned his car in gorgeous condition, EARLY! Well, when I had my own accident, they also fixed my car perfectly. My front bumper and parts under it needed to be replaced, and it was all done in a week, including ordering parts. They even stayed open late when me and another customer had to come slightly after closing because of a long wait returning our cars at the nearby Enterprise. "Hope I don't see you again anytime soon!" the nice lady working the desk said to me.
