When I was there the fresh fish was your choice of Ono or Ahi, or you could get a combination! Owner and staff are very friendly and will answer any questions or give opinions. Great portions, not too filling but just enough for lunch. Can't beat the view either! Cute little food truck! They have a lot of different sauces and specials for their poke it was difficult to choose which one to get. We got the ahi poke with wasabi sauce and the Local Girl poke which had a spicy mayo sauce. You get a half pound for about $13-15 which is on the pricier side of poke. I do have to say that the quality of the fish was very tender and soft unlike what you would get at Big Save or Foodland. It was good, but the price will deter me from coming back. read more

The first thing I go for when I arrive in Hawaii is fresh Poké. I have spent a lot of time on Maui eating great Poké but this is my first time on Kawai so I didn't know where to go. Now I absolutely do. Way more options than I've ever had before. This is a must for anyone having a hankering for some amazing poke while in Kauai. It's a great stop on the way back from tunnels or if you are just exploring the north side of the island. Both my boyfriend and I got the mac bowl with a salmon ahi mix. I got it on lettuce and he got it on rice. All the ingredients were super fresh, especially the fish. Don't forget to bring cash since it is cash only. If you forget to bring cash you can always buy something inside the grocery store next door and get cash. Also important tip: Yelp doesn't list the right directions. DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS OR THE MAP APP THROUGH YELP. The fish is freshly caught, and they have a great selection of bowl and salad options on their menu. They also can make their poke gluten free. Some of the best poke we have ever had. Many creative combos, specials are always delicious too. Jeremy is sweet and helpful with ordering. He has great knife skills, fish is perfectly cut and clean, never any sinew. Super fresh and I love that his fish is cut into smaller pieces than most poke places. Try the grab and go Spicey Ahi sushi rolls for $8.00. Best deal in town for fresh delicious sushi. The staff is always very smiley and sweet. I am a regular at this place.
