The best $14.00 you can spend in rockland county. Quick, good and easy. If you happen to be shopping at worimart definitely try this place.

While we usually head to the popular area of Palisades Park when craving Korean food, this seemed like a decent option for the northern area we were in. Upon arrival you seem some funky things like italian style decor, checkered table cloths, and a kind of disjoined dining room area. We were seated quickly and served our banchan which I thought was a good selection of vegetables and other commonly mixed side dishes. Service was prompt and throughout our meal we were served by a few different wait staff that cohesively worked together. We order two different dishes (one combo) and one soup and both were very underwhelming. Our pork ribs were overly sweet and lacked that marinated flavor and our soups were not what we were expecting. The jamjatang tasted very bland and wasn't the typical Korean potato soup you expect which is more like a stew, with potatoes, and pork bones. This place seems like it would be more suited for an older crowd that is not looking for salty soups and have limited access to other Korean food options. Given the price of the soups and combos around $15-$18 we were pretty disappointed and agreed we probably would not be back.

This place is fantastic, excellent high quality food, and service. Definitely coming back here.read more

The sushi was fresh and flavorful but the real highlight was the meats. The cuts were amazing, tender, and perfectly cooked which made every plate feel like a treat. There was never a moment of regret with anything that came to the table. This was also the perfect setting to reconnect with a friend I had not seen in almost 20 years since our time in the military. The environment is welcoming and comfortable which made it easy to sit back, talk for hours, and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. The service was attentive and kept everything moving smoothly so we could focus on the conversation and the food. Prime No.7 is more than just a place to eat. Usually good service but this time we felt like the portions were smaller and when we asked about it, the lady made sure we wouldn't waste the food. I completely understand that mindset but I don't think it's a good customer service approach to share it with customers. I hope they don't make us feel like we are a burden next time the family eats at this establishment.

The atmosphere gives off a trendy vibe, with a chef from Chopped behind the concept. It was pretty busy on a Saturday evening but tables were available indoor and outdoor. Reservations are probably a good idea if you come at a busy time. Similar to a tapas or dim sum place, you check off your order on a slip of paper. Really enjoyed the complex yet simple flavors of the shrimp dumplings (3) though they were very small bites, the fish taco (1), and the pork belly lettuce wrap plate. Each dish is paced out to you as they see you finish. The lobster taco was good but at $17, pricey, for its small size. Savor each dish because they will be gone before you know it. They charge a mandatory 4% kitchen fee, which I understand in theory but not in practicality for customers in these times. This evening there were a few Lantern flies spotted, one of which landed in my glass of water. Parking is easy and shared with a few other nearby businesses. They also have Taco Tuesdays to get discounted tacos. This is enticing because each taco is small and not filling in its own.

However, this restaurant ( MIGAM) completely exceeded my expectations! Everything is made with high-quality ingredients, and they prepared my takeout order exactly as I requested. SPICY BRISKET JJAMPPONG It's a spicy dish, but since spice levels vary from place to place--and being Mexican, I'm used to spicy food--I didn't want to take any chances, so I ordered it medium spicy. They hit the nail on the head! It was absolute perfection. The broth was rich, thick, and packed with flavor--delightful in every single way. The portion size is so generous that it will easily cover two meals, and I'm sharing some with my husband. It came with four sides (banchan), including kimchi, and I can honestly say it's the best kimchi I've ever had in my life--and I've tried Korean food both in Mexico and here in the U.S. I first visited this restaurant in Tenafly over a year ago when I believe they were just starting out. Back then, I met a woman who I believe is the owner. I am so glad to see they still maintain that same phenomenal quality! They cook with such attention to detail that I no longer have to worry about looking for another place to get this kind of food. Thank you so much, blessings, and congratulations on the wonderful work and dedication you put into preparing the most delicious Korean dishes I've ever tasted. See you very soon!

It's a classic and simple Japanese cuisine owned and run by a Korean mom-pop couple who bought the restaurant from another Korean mom-pop owner/chef duo in the early 2000s. This tiny but mighty restaurant has survived a fire, pandemic and two recessions. In spite of it all, their food and service are always good. I do have to mention that their fried oysters are new on the menu and a bit too briny/oceany for my taste. They also have some sushi pieces with "MP" for market price; be sure to ask what that price is. Our server, while wonderful, did not explain how much the uni was and it was a doozy on our bill ($15 per single sushi piece; not for both as written on the menu so be attentive when you order!) This is a genuinely small business so there are only a few tables and some bar seating. Go when it's not rush hour to avoid crowds. They can get impacted. But the wait is always worth it. Stick to the raw bar. They have good quality fresh fish. Their makis (rolls) are also good if you want something more dynamic and bold but I like just plain raw fish on a bed of sushi rice. The sushi chef here is a veteran sushi chef with decades of experience so it's worth trying if you love sushi. I always enjoy supporting the good old family run small businesses and this one is definitely worth it. Great spot for families, dates, and even solo meals.

Both came with soup and salad, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary tuna tataki appetizer. We also had the nigiri saki. The food was decent and, importantly, very fair for the price. This isn't high-end Japanese dining, but it doesn't pretend to be - what they charge is reflected in what they serve, and we felt we got good value for our money. I'll keep my memories of my meals in Tokyo and Kyoto separate since as one can imagine, there is no comparison. Our waitress was a real highlight: humorous, polite, attentive, and genuinely respectful. Good service goes a long way. Definitely worth knowing about if you're in Piermont and looking for a reasonably priced Japanese meal close to home.
