I was given a gift card to this place . I don't want to go into the details of what happened . Given the manager did reach out to offer an apology . And for that reason alone i gave it an additional star . I had a deep tissue massage and a facial . My masseuse was good and would have gone back just for her . Be warned , make sure when you schedule a facial you are explained EXACTLY what your paying for make no assumptions !. And no you will not be told at time of booking what it entails unless YOU ask otherwise you will be charged additional .

Very clean hospitable environment. Great facials and massage. Can't stand the up charging constantly for additional services. Plus always pushing to sell products. Uncomfortable that they are so aggressive to sell more services.

Update: changing from 3 to 2 stars because two days later the skin on my nose started peeling profusely. It's pictures in the closeup of my nose below. In this pic, you can also see the small amount of bruising that happened on the edge of my nose. I really wouldn't recommend coming here at this time. Okay, I can definitely see why this place has mixed reviews. I would say their service is okay-- but not worth the price point. First, it's more expensive than the other Hand and Stones in NJ. Another location charges $10 less across the board for the same services. I had a facial and it was okay. They really went in on my T-zone...I do wish they were not as harsh in that area as I have nose piercings and I had to keep asking the specialist not to push down on it as its metal and REALLY hurts if you press it into my skin...? I now have some yellowing on my skin around the piercings that I hope doesn't turn into a bruise. They put a clay mask on me and also put it on my eyebrows. I've never used a clay mask that said it was safe to put on your eyebrows/hair so that was weird. But they didn't wash it all off. In the picture, you can see how there was dried clay in my eyebrows. When I tried cleaning it off with water lots of my hairs came out which is probably why you're not supposed to put it there. Another woman who was there was upset with the front desk staff as it seemed like she transferred some of her benefits to her family members (who were there with her) but the staff was overcharging her as if she wasn't using the benefits. It's an expensive place...the staff is nice but I wouldn't come back here unless I had a coupon.

Very clean with friendly staff. Staff is very receptive to client's needs, but wish pricing and promotions were a little better.

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

~Best Day Spa in NJ~…read more No other spa in the Tri-State offers the services, amenities, hospitality, and atmosphere that BRC Day Spa does. Highly recommend if you enjoy or want to try a true Russian banya experience. This spa is absolutely beautiful, extremely clean, the vibes are friendly, very relaxed. I am in love with this place, and plan to come on a regular basis! It's really that awesome! The service and hospitality are wonderful. Upon arrival, you will check in at the front desk. If you have forgotten your swimsuit, robe, slippers for the pool. BRC spa has men's swim shorts to rent and female suits for purchase to whomever may need one. Which is an excellent service. Love that they have slippers for the entire spa experience. Really appreciate, towels and slippers are provided with the admission cost. Robes can be rented from the front desk for customer convenience, if you don't want to bring your own. I prefer to rent theirs, the robes are very nice. Admission grants access to the facility's aroma, wet, and dry saunas, steam room, ice cold plunge, lap pool, jacuzzi, relaxation room, and the mud/scrub room. WiFi is free and available throughout the entire spa. The spa features a lovely cafe that prepares healthy meals, fruit bowls, that has a bar wherein alcoholic beverages can be ordered. The spa has other amazing add on's that are extra which include cryotherapy, salt room, float pod, massage therapy, and a VIP room. Highly recommend cryotherapy if you have any inflammation in your body. Cryotherapy is a game changer. Excited to try the float pod, cryotherapy, infrared sauna,on my next visit. As well as the salt room eventually. My overall favorite feature of the spa was the ice cold plunge. It was truly an amazing experience, that gave me immediate benefits. Never thought I could ever do an ice cold plunge especially when the weather outside is already very frigid. Thanks to other members sharing their experience. I built up the courage to the plunge. It was an awesome, euphoric, pain relieving experience. I will be taking the ice cold plunge or ice baths on a daily or weekly basis for the amazing health benefits. My other favorites were the regulars that visit the spa frequently. They were absolutely the best, and I enjoyed each and every patron I encountered. This place is pure positive bliss. When I left this spa all of my body aches, muscle tension, chronic pain, and stress were gone. If you fly into Teterboro, visit Meadowlands, the NJ/NYC area, this is THE BEST SPA IN THE TRI STATE! Thank me later...

Last I checked the tips in NJ is voluntary and: are considered voluntary gifts for service. While some restaurants implement automatic gratuity (often around 18%) that must be disclosed under the Consumer Fraud Act, you are not legally required to pay a tip, especially for poor service. None of the menus at the SPA restaurant or bar said they are charging the tip. No disclosure. Not even on the receipt when you pay. I asked to the take of my bill the tip but the receptionist said it is not possible and everyone HAS to pay the tip. Reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission.

I told them i didn't have 20 dollars to tip them and they started looking into my wallet and telling me it looked like i had enough money. They also said i can use my card to tip. I only wanted to tip $7. It felt as though they thought tipping was mandatory even though on their own sign it says suggested. Wouldn't really recommend unless you have an extra $10 for the tip alone.
