Definitely lived up to all the other 5 star reviews on this site. I didn't want to call someone without a recommendation from someone I trusted, so waited longer than I wanted to for the the installation of handi-bars. One thing i haven't seen mentioned in other reviews that is extremely important, and sometimes awkward to ask for, is the license number, so you could verify it, for many reasons. He handed me his business card ,with having to ask for one, that had his license info on it. Even more amazing was he actually had one to give me. I can't tell you how many times I have asked for someone's business card and for various reasons the answer is no. That alone, tells me several things about the business. Great day and now My Mom and the rest of us will be much safer. Also he mentioned was a tile man heavy materials and positions the body just can't take forever. He wanted to stay in the field but also wanted to help people. Loved that response and that is exactly what he is doing. Also that his wife is usually with him on jobs as an assistant and good at it; and definitely helped in the decision to adjust his career. Jack did an excellent job, was on time and reasonably priced. He is the expert on safety bars. He installed several bars in the shower, put a higher toilet seat on the toilet and added a more adaptable shower head. Jack listened to our needs and was able to deliver the safe shower we needed for my handicapped mother in law. I had considered using the suction cupped bars to attach for the shower to save money, but decided for safety reasons to go with a pro and permanently attached bars. They blend with the motif of the shower and don't make the bathroom look like a hospital bathroom. I bought a home with a large walk in shower that you need to step down into. I knew I needed grab bars installed so I would not fall while using it. In the ten years I've lived in the Palm Desert, Handi-Bars is one of the very best companies I have encountered. It's the kind of service that you don't need UNTIL you need it. Then, you want someone to come over right away (!) and make you feel safer in your home. I don't remember how I found Jack Jones and his wife Tamara, but I had broken my foot and needed some grab bars in my bathroom. The two of them gave me an appointment the next day. They were on time, they assessed the situation, gave me a quote (much more reasonable than I even thought it would be!), and installed grab bars. The bars didn't destroy the aesthetic or decor of the bathroom and made me feel immediately safer in my home. Oh yeah, they cleaned up everything--I wouldn't have even known they were there.
