This just became our fav spot to get korean fried chicken. Its connected to a supermarket but plenty of seating both inside and outside. You can order via kiosk or the staff will take your order. Really chill spot for sure. What we got: Original (4.5/5) We always try original at every kfc spot; and this is a good fried chickens; already have good flavor. Soy garlic (4.5/5) Super delicious; good balance of soy/garlic flavor. Nicely coated and its just delicious. Yangnyum (4.5/5) Saucey, spicy but lots of flavor. Nicely done! Buldak (4/5) Super spicy; but its really good; eventhough its spicy; but still have a really nice flavor profile. Overall We recommend this place to anyone looking for some korean fried chicken. We will be back for sure.

Excellent Korean chicken! I was looking for a new Korean chicken place as my usual place had. Checking out I saw this one. Only a few miles from my house. This place must have just opened as I've driven by Zip market many times and never noticed that they cut the market in half and turn it into Korean fried chicken place. Stopped in Saturday night around 7:30 and they were not busy at all. Ordered the half order of chicken drumsticks, which includes seven legs. I followed the advice of other yelpers and got the original style with the sauce on the side so they would stay crispy as I drove home. Got the med spicy Yang Nyum sauce. Also got an order of the cheese balls. Took about 10 minutes for my order and everything was piping hot. Was home in 5 minutes and dove right into the cheese balls. Wow, these things are wickedly delicious! Little round donut balls filled with mild mozzarella cheese. Nice combination of the sugar on the outside of the donut and the saltiness of the cheese. Only ate two is now time for chicken legs. Super delicious also. Very crispy skin and moist and juicy meat. They were good size legs too. The sauce was good but could have been a tad more sweet to balance out the spiciness. Five star. Overall, we'll definitely cut back to this place. By the way, if you're driving by at night, it's a bit hard to see as they were having problems with their sign lights.

The chicken was so good and juicy , tenders were huge! Kevin was also very kind and had the best customer service! Again, thank you Kevin!

Zip Dak is one of the newer KoFC offerings in the Kirkland area (and there are several). Located along Market Street adjacent and owned by the next door Zip Market, a convenient store, the interior is open to both. We ordered online and received notification about 'ready by' pickup time. The online estimated time (before order) matched the time received via text (after order). Cool! The inside is very new and clean. We only picked up, so not much needed in terms of service. Food wise, unlike most other fried chicken places, they don't serve breasts or thighs. They have wings, drumsticks, tenders, and 'boneless'. I'm not sure what exactly is 'boneless' and forgot to ask when we picked up. The Food: Soy Garlic Dak, half, mix & match, + 1 tender, medium spicy, $16.99 + $2 - 4 Stars They set the price the same for all their flavors - $16.99 for the Half, $30.99 for the Full. I forgot to count the exact breakdown, but I think we received 7 pieces of chicken for the half order, plus the extra tender we added. Drumsticks come in both the bigger size and the smaller size. I wish they served thighs, which we like most. I didn't trust ordering an all-drumsticks meal, either. Would we get a mix of big and small ones? Don't know. The tenders were very dry. We would not order that again. The boneless is possibly thigh meat, but we didn't get any of those in the mix & match. The soy garlic is a good flavor. I tasted the soy more than the garlic, but it is still a good overall flavor. I am not sure what I will order in the future though, not wanting the tenders in the mix & match. Curly Fries, $5.99 - 4 Stars Well-seasoned, a good crunch, and a reasonable amount for the six bucks. A cup of pickled Korean radish is included with the chicken. They added (presumably) a drop of beet juice to make it pink - cute but unnecessary.

Their chicken is delicious. All Chicken no frills. Kalbi is the one to get. If you like Korean fried chicken this is the best I've had on the eastside.

First, the chicken was very tasty. Very juicy. The drumsticks were humongous. The house sauce was yummy. I'd recommend the food...for the food. We came as a very large group, so we expected the food to be a little slower. (Our table basically just ordered four half portions.) Even that said, though, they were EXTREMELY slow at getting food out to us. And worse, I'm fairly certain they were putting off our orders in favor of new customers just because we were a large group that was sitting there. Why do I suspect that? Because we made an extra 2-part order about half an hour later than our original 4-part order, and that 2-part order came out 15 minutes before our 4-part order. Which doesn't make sense unless you're specifically prioritizing against the large, seated group. It basically means that if we had split up the order but ordered the exact same thing, I'm pretty sure we would've gotten our food faster. (We didn't have other sides or anything; just chicken.) I'm still rating the place well because I think the food was great and it's not likely you'll run into this specific issue, but I do think for me, I'm unlikely to return. The location was odd to begin with and parking was weird, but the order skipping was enough of a personal turn off that I'll just get my korean fried chicken at the other places.

Korean fried chicken shop in a small plaza on Market St. in Kirkland, just a bit south of Juanita Bay Park. It's a small restaurant with some indoor or and outdoor seating, and it's connected to a convenience store. Fairly busy during a weekday. Order at the counter and they can bring the food out to you. Menu is various flavors of fried chicken, but also has bowls and sides like fries and cheese balls. Tried a few flavors of the fried chicken, and they were all pretty good. You can get mid wing piece, drumsticks (the leg) or boneless for the fried chicken. My favorite would be the extra crispy, although the ones with the garlic seasoning are good too. Overall the chicken was pretty good. Nice and crunchy on the outside and hot and moist inside. Main reason for only giving 3 stars is because it took them a while to serve the food. They said it was going to be 20 min, but we waited at least 45 min.

I've been craving wings and decided to try a new spot. I'm so glad we chose Zip Dak. It was the best fried chicken I've had in a while. It was delicately crispy on the outside while perfectly retaining moist inside. Zip Dak is very reminiscent of the space concept like the 45th Stop N Shop poke joint. Very casual place located adjacent to/in a mini gas-station like convenience store. You can grab drinks & snacks from there too. I loved it. The beverages (alcohol) are decently priced and aren't super marked up. Oh and the cheese balls, don't skip it! It's more like sugar dough puffs. It was delightful. Bonus tip, if you want to try different flavors just get the original chicken and just buy the sauces separately. I really wanted to try more flavors but didn't think of this idea until afterwards. I'll definitely be coming back.

Who knew such a fried chicken gem could be found in a gas station-esque mini mart. Our group explored 6 different types of wings and though they were all bangers, the green onion soy was a personal favorite. I don't live close to Kirkland but this place is a dangerous neighborh to have! Such flavorful and juicy chicken. Plus you can tell the meat is fresh. The cheese balls are a must have. They taste like the most amazing powdered sugar donuts.

    All the sauces!

It's hard to find good Korean fried chicken, especially near to where we live! My bf and I were fortunate to try this place out. They're right next to the Zip Market, a convenience store and they just opened up in November! Their fried chicken is crispy and uses a special method of frying, air drying and frying again -- that's why it is extra crispy with less grease :D They have amazing flavors of sauces if you want a saucy flavorful kind of chicken and you can pick mild, medium or hot if you'd like some spice to your chicken! They also have yummy sides/ snacks, one of them being the cheese balls! This is a popular unique snack with mozzarella cheese inside with a subtle sugar coating -- it resembled a donut and tasted like one with the cheese inside! They also have a popular street Korean food snack: So Ddeok So Ddeok! Rice cake and sausage skewers! I loved their curly fries! They serve pickled radish with their chicken and also have delicious beverages: Frazi with 2 flavors (almost similar to Icee - Tigers blood (strawberry and coconut) and lemon ice), and ice coffee (French vanilla and caramel macchiato!) They're also working to serve alcohol on prem with beers and also have growlers that will be available for purchase. We definitely recommend and we will be back!

This is a neighborhood restaurant just down the street. I can honestly say that I have driven by and not given a second thought to stopping. Well, that has all changed, this place is fantastic. While you can order online, I decided to visiting see the restaurant in person. I was greeted when I walked in to the restaurant. When you first stop, it definitely looks like a local store that had half of the store converted into a restaurant. There are not very many places to sit and eat in the restaurant but it feels cozy. The menu is very pretty large. I ordered two full orders with a mixed wings and strips and a couple different sauces. I will let you know that this order is more than enough for 4-6 adults. The chicken is great with sauces being very flavorful. The chicken wings were crisp and chicken strips were tender. This place is on the rotation or anytime when it is my turn to cook dinner.

These folks probably need another great review like Elon Musk needs an increase in his allowance,…read morebut fairness demands that I not keep silent regarding my enjoyment of this restaurant: THE ROSES: Ample dedicated parking. The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. Menu consist of fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, teriyaki, yakisoba and stir-fried veggies, and there add-ons and alternatives to choose from for some of these. We all got their chicken sandwich with regular fries, though one of my friends and I decided to get it on hot spicy crispy instead. The spice wasn't actually too bad, it was in fact a nice oomph to the meal. I was surprised that the "patty" of the burger was actually two separate pieces of their crispy chicken instead of just one. Now this wasn't too big of a deal, and the chicken itself was tasty but it was dry and there was a ton of sauce inside the burger, so the rest of the burger condiments slipped out easily as I was gripping the sandwich to my mouth. One of my friends experienced the same thing as well with his meal. On the plus side, the fries were appropriately salty, and were very filling. Everything looks small here but you get full really, really fast! Complimentary cabbage salad: it was very crunchy and fresh, the dressing was creamy, sweet and every so slightly tangy. Yakisoba: great noodle to topping ratio. Pretty much at least one topping in every noodle bite. The veggies had a very nice blanched texture and were added a light crunch to each bite. The sauce was as tad on the sweet side for me though. Fries: lightly seasoned and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I found I could eat these plain without the need for a dip. Original Fried Chicken: Very flaky and lightly crunchy. The chicken inside was brined nicely and was very tender and juicy.

I think these special versions are definitely better than the standard ones which we've tried before here. So much more flavor! The price is quite reasonable and the service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was quite clean! If you're craving Korean Chinese food, I'd recommend here over the newer restaurants in the area.

I noticed that…read moreat 11:15, which is just 15 minutes after opening, that there were already four parties inside, including mine. When we had left just a few minutes shy of 12pm, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.
