Ive tried different variations: regular biscuit vs. cheddar biscuit; american cheese vs. cheddar cheese; bacon and eggs vs. fried chicken. But today (as of this review, and the first time trying rise biscuits in about a year), they get a standing ovation!! My food was so delicious. I could barely wait to get home. I didn't. I had one of the beignets. It was warm and soft. It still tasted more like a biscuit than a true beignet, but it was tasty none the less. They have preset items but we felt it best to build your own as you can customize each one. Prices add up and mine became so big and messy I had to eat it with utensils but it was delicious and filling. Coffee was smooth as well. I made an online order and while making it, I was bummed to find out that the cinnamon rolls were all sold out by 12 pm but I didn't let that deter me. I was able to pick up my food from one of the lockers they have for pick up orders with no problems. The Apple fritter was average, pretty small, and thinner than expected. I warmed it up and it was a bit better but still underwhelming. The glazed blueberry biscuit on its own was dry and barely had any blueberries but that wasn't the case at all when it came to blueberry biscuit sausage sandwich. The blueberry biscuit sausage sandwich (my favorite item) was pretty good. The cheddar biscuit with righteous chicken and lettuce and tomato was okay: the cheddar biscuit was decent but the chicken was just okay. When I contacted the manager, they tried to mislead me by offering to "remove" the mandatory tip as a discount even though the restaurant's own website clearly states that tips are optional. When my partner told me Rise had a brick and mortar near us, I was super excited! We've purchased Rise biscuits from our local grocery store for some time now, so for them to have a brick and mortar was something I never expected! The way it works is a bit different than what most might expect for a breakfast/brunch place: all orders are placed to-go, so my recommendation would be to place your order online so that it's ready to pick up when you arrive. There are no seats for waiting, so if you don't want to stand around or wait in your car, placing your order in advance is the way to go. Despite not having any seats, the inside is nice, bright, and easy to figure out. I ordered their biscuits and gravy, which is a tough one since everyone does their B&G differently. The chicken that it came with was nice and flavorful, and the gravy was agreeable. It's tough to make a gravy that everyone will like, and I think they made one that most folks will like. I have a feeling I'm going to visit often for the fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuit. After a quick Yelp and Door Dash lunch search I opted to try Rise for pickup. As any Yelper worth their weight in biscuits would do I searched reviews, food pics, and their website. I was excited the website was user friendly and easy to navigate from my phone. I quickly placed my order and about 5 mins later I received a text my order was ready. When I arrived my food was waiting in a cubby ready for grab and go. I was both greeted by an employee on my way in and wished a good day on the way out. The biscuit was good, as mentioned good enough to return for another. I walked in and was greeted right away by a few staff members, they gave a few suggestions and I went with the chicken strips for the first time, can't really go wrong. The chicken strips come with a very big biscuit cooked just the way you want it to be, nice and fluffy, the chicken was seasoned perfectly, fries nice and crispy.
