This was my first stop right after arriving from the airport. I was starving and Yelp never disappoints to help me find a good place with good reviews. I found Hangrys appealing because that's exactly how I felt lol this will definitely be somewhere I'll stop by for the servers' hospitality and service, I told the adorable cook (don't know blondies name) but I told him he was a GOD in his own craft for making such an amazing burger. Let me preface by saying, if you are driving too fast, you might blink and miss this place. That being said, keep your eyes posted for this place, it's a hidden gem in Spokane Valley! Trina was the waitress today, and she had the whole place laughing and enjoying each others company. My wife and I started with a couple of appetizers, the fried pickles and onion rings, we then ordered the Hangry burger substituted with cheddar cheese, to split. The beer battered onion rings were some of the best, period! The fried pickles had a unique flavors, and I don't typically care.for.pickles, but I would order these again. The burger, was a bacon, ham, double cheeae burger, with 4 slices of cheddar, hashbrowns on the bottom bun, and a fried egg on top. This burger is named after the place, and that's because they are both insanely good! I'm very disappointed in today's experience because I wanted to like this place. I love patronizing local small businesses and I love burgers and fries! I was able to successfully order takeout via their website (it says delivery but once you click you can order takeout as well) and was very excited. Upon arriving I was met with the first sign that COVID is not taken seriously here. This was in the form of a literal sign on their door that says "King Inslee requires us to enforce his mask 'mandate.'" Not only is this a completely unprofessional way to communicate with customers about statewide rules, but it also encourages customers not to take it seriously. Then, they have approximately 4 tables inside- it's quite small- and with dining at 25% capacity only one should be filled, correct? Nope. All 4 were fully seated. Unfortunately, this was not surprising. Finally, when I spoke to one of the employees they actually removed their mask fully to talk to me- which is just so... mind blowing to me. Businesses like this one that cut corners on COVID regulations endanger the future of all businesses. Not to mention, if they care so little about safety in this manner who is to say they don't pick and choose which other safety rules to follow such as food safety? How can you trust that they will follow all guidelines if this is their attitude towards just one? I did pick up my order and while the flavor of the garlic fries was good they were quite soggy/oily and I would have loved to have been given a fork- unfortunately it did not feel worth it to risk my personal health to go back in for one. My family has never dined at Hangry's before, so we chose to order carry out online and give it a try. WE ARE NOT DISAPPOINTED. The burgers were juicy, the veggies were fresh, and I just had THE BEST cheese curds I've had in YEARS. My boyfriend couldn't stop raving about the freshness of the jalapeños on his burger. And the gentleman that gave us our food was super friendly and welcoming for the quick second we were inside. He said he put extra ranch in with our order too which was AMAZING. We were seated quickly, but it is a very small area about 6 booths which bring a cozy vibe, but on the other hand we ordered the garlic fries and they were very oily and a lot of garlic for only a few fries but the root beer floats were killer! The service in all was very speedy, but the waiters and cooks were talking the whole time. What a find ! We were craving a burger before our flight took off, and we routed to the Red Robin down the road but they were closed before 11am. Saw this place close by and after seeing the photos thought we'd give it a try. SO GOOD! Was a hearty, munchie-type of place. My husband loves breakfast, at all times of the day, so we stopped into this hidden gem. Oh my! They did NOT disappoint. The brown sugar bacon burger....I know why it's so popular here. My husband had the Mechanic Scrambler and a pancake; he said they were both excellent. Our server was new, but awesome. Hungry for a burger while in Spokane Valley, we decided to try Hangry's. Glad we did! My husband and I had a Grumpy burger, fried chicken sandwich, fries and onion rings. All were wonderful, and service was fast and friendly. The burger and sandwich were not huge, but both cooked very nicely with the right proportion of bun/meat/toppings. The very generous portion of fries were outstanding - thin, crispy with a nice potato taste. The onion ringers were the real deal. Big slices of onion and a crispy crust. Yum. We stopped by with a party of 6 at 9:00 on a Sunday morning. We were greeted immediately by a friendly server. We told him there were 6 of us and he quickly pushed together two tables for us. We were quickly served coffee and asked about our ideas for breakfast. The food was served on large plates with large servings. We ordered breakfast. 4 of us had eggs and bacon. Bacon was crispy and thick. Eggs were cooked well and the hash browns were crispy outside and perfect on the inside. My husband had the poblano scramble. He loved it. Another person ordered biscuits and gravy and were impressed with the flavor. The server was very friendly, welcoming and incredibly polite. He laughed with us and we knew this was our kind of place. The inside is decorated in a 50s car theme. I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in. I ordered the Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a soft drink. The burger was delicious, a nice size meat patty that was cooked through but still juicy, crisp leaf lettuce, ripe tomato, pickles, nice big rings of onions, and melting cheddar cheese, mayo, and crisp hot bacon, the bun was lightly toasted, soft, and fresh; this was a juicy and flavorful sandwich. This place is a hole in the wall for sure. . It has 4 booths and about 4 tables. Very small dining room. The restroom is located outside around the back of the building, which is ok unless it's freezing or raining. Lol. The staff was nice and really giving it to her regular customers(banter back and forth)saying she was gonna kill them. Jokingly. The prices are very reasonable. The food was good, EXCEPT I like my hash browns extra crispy and she said it would take them 25 min. I was a bit disappointed by that. I don't think the browns were seasoned, I had to use a lot of salt for flavor. The menu says thick sliced bacon but it's just regular; it did taste fantastic and was smoked.
