Super good dose not take long to get the food I recommend getting the breakfast burger

Tried this place out and i must say, it's a toilet. These people sell cigarettes and fish n chips, same building. Fish was paper thin. Chowder was worst than on the hooks paste. Price is quality is poor. I think I paid $20+chowder and drink.. something like $28 Subpar foods and it's dirty with thug like people behind the counter. Not inviting. I'll look for another place to try out. Inland fish is probably impossible to find that's worth a damn. May need to hit Seattle again. read more

Way less than par!! Have eatin at Rob's for years and this last time will totally be the last, let's begin. I do not like to post negative reviews on a restaurant because those folks go thru the grinder day after day to fill our guts but....... the prices always increase and the portions NEVER do! Not just with Rob's but every food establishment. Service was great, didn't jack our order all up and the ambience was so so. It's in your hands (the reader) if you want to give Rob's a try but I'm good not going back, totally blew my family and I away how much Rob's has changed! read more

Best fish in chips ever. The staff is friendly with a sense of humor. For take out, you barely sit down and they call your number. They double bag your hot meal and its still hot when you get it home. Fast casual dine in. And you can get a beer! read more

This local diner is just homey and has great fried food. Come and try their fish n chips! You won't be disappointed.

This feels like an old zips that now sells burgers, seafood, and cigs. Yes, a smoke shop/restaurant. The burger was a smallish previously frozen patty with a fresh bun and toppings. The crinkle fries were spot on crispy w/o any grease. Catsup and fry sauce are at a help yourself pump station. Drinks are refilled from behind the counter, meaning a wait in line to get more in your cup. This place was spotless at the time of my visit and the employees were fine. If you're looking to fill a hole in the gut, this will do the job. Not a place that I'd seek out for an outstanding burger though. read more

You know I like a place when I mention they are not trying to be anything they are not. This is a burger and fish & chip joint, with beat-down diner ambiance. The products they are using are not farm-to-table. But they have got it down--very well--how to put it all together hot, fresh-ish, and for prices you are not used to in 2024. Everything we had was great. C'mon, think about it. This is a place you might rave about, paying twice as much, if it was in a coastal, el touristo town. But here we are 300 clicks inland. It was busy on a Tue lunch. But they still found time to smile while that griddle/fryer is cranking out the bad-good food. I don't know how many times I've driven by this place, but it's been decades. I figured I would finally try it out. I stopped in a couple weeks ago and grabbed a cheeseburger with fries. I think this could be best classified as your perfect greaseball burger. It was juicy, with the grease dripping over my fingers as I scarfed it down. The fries were decent, nothing to write home about but not bad either. The shop looks like a classic hamburger joint: formica tables, vinyl chairs, etc. But it was clean. And the staff was friendly. We did a take out from here and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Who would think a burger shop that also sells alcohol and smokes would make sense and taste good? This is definitely old school burger sit down joint with fair prices and quality food. The best thing on the menu y is the fries. They are battered like the fish and fried to perfection. Tried their burgers out for the 1st time, got to say it's horrid. The fish is where it's at only. Avoid the chowder too. If you from Cali or Seattle you will hate their chowder. Drove by every day for a week while on vacation. Read reviews on Yelp and wasn't sure I would stop. Talked to some locals and they recommended it. Chowder is good, fries were hot and crisp, and fish had good flavor. Definitely would stop again. For all the haters out there; remember, you get what you paid for. read more

I regularly eat at this diner. I only get the fish and chips and occasionally the prawns. This unassuming restaurant by far has the best fish and chips around. The fries are always hot and crispy on the outside and soft in the center. The fish is breaded and hot when served. The prawns are also breaded and huge. The meal portions are a good size and they have malt vinegar. I have heard they've been in business close to 50 years. They must be doing something right. read more

Exceedingly average, maybe even sub par. Staff was super friendly and prices were reasonable but the food was just blah. Don't get me wrong, we weren't expecting a Michelin 5 star place but this wasn't a great experience. The burger patties were thin and frozen. They cooked up mealy and grey. There was an abundance of toppings which helped hide the mediocrity but that wasn't why I came. The seafood combo was equally lacking. Just not a lot to like there. The saving grace was the fries. Super high quality, thick cut, and big portion. Probably won't go back but judging by the number of regulars there, they probably won't miss me. read more

This quirky little joint at the corner of Seltice and Spokane in Post Falls, Idaho is a restaurant / cigarette store. Sigh... welcome to Idaho! Regardless of the odd capitalism combo, Rob's has amazing chowder, coleslaw and fish n' chips. French Fries were actually just mediocre, but I'd much rather save roof for the other stuff anyhow. I don't know if I will ever will try any of Rob's other food offerings. This is now my go-to destination when I'm craving quality fried fish. If you want something quick, you can go to this place for your burger and fries fix. I had Double Burger with Cheese with all the stuffing they offer: tomato, onion, lettuce, pickle, cheese, mustard, mayo and ketchup. We also ordered 1/2 Pounder and the All You Can Eat Fish and Chips which includes the fish, fries, coleslaw and chowder. You can refill for the "all you can eat", we requested for fish and was replenished with 1 large and 3 small fishes. The burger was ok and the fries was crispy. The coleslaw and chowder were "meh". Chowder was tasteless in my opinion. Towards the later of our lunch, I was surprised to hear from the guy that works behind the counter saying people from far places visit them for their chowder. I feel like he was just making it up since another customer pointed out the lack of welcoming character from all three employees and especially for the person working at the counter. Overall, just descent for a small place like them in Idaho, but Im not convinced the price they sell it. read more

Burgers were great for the price, but the fries are the reason you don't put fish at a burger shop. The fryers probably hadn't been cleaned in weeks and they tasted very fishy. It's a shame because of the burgers. If I go again I'll grab fries at McDonald's on the way home. read more

Not sure how there are so many good fish reviews for this place. My daughter and I love fish/shrimp and chips and seek it out whenever we travel. Read the good reviews and thought it looked like one of those gems in the rough, hole in the wall places. So, on the plus side the people were friendly, the place was clean (if small), the food came quickly (though, the place was empty when we went in). Fries were great; the battered and seasoned kind. Straight downhill from there. Slaw was nothing special. Fish and shrimp had a too thick coating of breading that was very hard (see my pictures). Fish was very dry and tasteless. The shrimp were nice, big shrimp, but again ruined the thick and hard breading. My daughter broke the coating off to eat them. A good, thin beer batter would have been great. Neither one of us finished our meal. Saving the worst for last, their chowder may have been the worst chowder I have ever had. Thick as paste, no taste, very little actual clams or potatoes (or anything else) in it. We each took one bite and no more. Complete failure. Did we go there on a bad day? Maybe. Too bad. read more

Was skeptical when driving by, but I decided to give it a shot because I was in need of some greasy goodness to help with my hangover. Rob's did not disappoint! The cheese burger with bacon was delicious. Bacon was perfectly cooked and the veggies were fresh. The fries were lightly breaded and delightfuly crispy. I really like the employees that work here they're really nice I really like the burgers. Fries are good but how could fries be bad right? The only problem I have is the clam chowder I've ordered this twice the first time it was cold. I took it home I heated up and I ate it and it was good it tastes really good. The second time I got it there it was warm and I got very very very ill. It didn't taste like it did the first time. However I know that people eat about three times a day so I'm not going to pinpoint that's what made me ill feeling many things can make somebody ill feeling just make sure you treat your clam chowder with food and safety requirements and guidelines. Short but sweet: Good burger place with reasonable prices. Longer: Burgers are good but not the best, fries were good but not really my style (they are beer battered fat fries, I am more of a thin and crispy fry guy). Inside is a bit run down. Not the nicest looking, but the employees were very nice. Prices were in line with other burger joints of the same caliber. They also have all you can eat fish and chips, but I didn't try that.
